Gary Payton If I could give negative 1 stars I would reading the other reviews now I’m certain my treatment was racially motivated. I came into the shop which was completely empty and waited several minutes for anyone to appear. I asked the lady if she had time to fix my nail since I had just broken it and I’m not from this city. She responded no. I said you are too busy to fix my nail? (Looks at Empty shop) She said no I’m busy. Very rude.terrible place to go. Had she of had time I would have gotten my toes done as well. Considering I’m of color and had asked just to get a nail fixed she dismissed me. I hope no one else actually considers giving this place their business.

Meilyn She was nice towards the end of the session after finding out that I had 100s in my wallet. Overpriced, painful, and overall, it felt like I was inconveniencing them as a customer. I usually dont like having bad reviews for small businesses without voicing my experience to management first and then giving them another try but I feel like this needs to be said because management worked on my nails and they need to treat their customers a little better than to take their anger and aggression out on them. Things I didnt like about this place: They moved my belongings without giving me a chance to do it myself. I REALLY dont like it when strangers touch my things as much as when people I dont know invade my personal bubble. Chairs looked dirty Nail dust everywhere The filing tools and nail filers they used hurt my nails and my hands. (Its been over 12 hours now and where they accidentally filed the skin around my nails still hurt) Wasnt given the option of getting an acrylic form or the option to use my nails itself but instead was just given an acrylic tip. Told them I wanted acrylic on my nails and to have it be the same length and they cut my natural nails unevenly as a matter of fact. The glue they used for the acrylic tip, they didnt clean up under my nails. I has to use my dental plaque kit to dig under and clean up under my new acrylic tips. They never gave me any cuticle oil or anything of the norm that Im used to. And when I asked for my cuticles to get pushed back and not cut (or filed off), the lady sounded irritated and told me that I dont have any cuticles to begin with so she didnt need to do that. The acrylic gel leaked a little forming a nice wall against my skin. The place was empty but it felt like they were rushing me hardcore. I asked for a 3rd coat because I wanted a deeper color and she said that what she put on is okay. It was the color that I had picked out :/ Also, it hurt a bunch of times when she was filing/prepping my nails. I think they (had a guy and then a girl) filed too much of my nails. It felt like she tried to be nice but they just werent very happy yesterday. Plus, I felt like they couldve done better. I cant believe they actually argued back with me a couple of times as well.

Katrice Rogers I walked in at 1:30 and walked right back out in 1 min. I wanted to get a pedicure and refill and she told me “we don’t have time right now “ only 2 ppl that were together were there. I wouldn’t recommend this place and It was my first time visiting them today! I had to give them 1 star to write this review

Theresa Benavidez Dont go here, they will assume they know what your want and ypu will walk out with something your not happy with . I asked for full set , French manicure. Pretty basic I thought, cant go wrong with that, not sure what the mans name was that did my set, but hes not very good. To start with, he put my nail on and was about to cut it without even asking me if I was okay with the length, I told him I wanted. The pink gel for my manicure. So he proceeds to put the pink gel over the entire nail. I told him I wanted square shape and he did the square. However, he didnt file the sides. So they were super sharp so I had to ask him to fix those. Kept stabbing me with his thumbnail, which was super sharp And hurt. The placement of the tips are weird and they look ridiculous. Im not sure whos real nail. Starts So close to the cuticle. See the pic. I will not be returning

Melissa Chick This is my favorite, & only nail shop now going on 2-3 years. The deluxe pedicure is awesome and all the nail techs do an amazing job. I highly recommend this shop, they can do most design photos Ive shown them too! 10 stars!

Chelsea Nelson I love going to Nails 2000. I used to infrequently get pedicures done at random shops but now Ive finally found a place where I consider myself a regular. I look forward to monthly pedicures and my every-other-monday gel manicures. All of the technicians have been excellent but I especially like Van. I started going here just before covid hit, and I think this business rose to the challenge very well. I feel completely safe and protected coming here and I also feel like the employees are safe and protected as well. I certainly feel safer here than at most retail stores. Update: Two years later this is still my regular nail salon. Every three weeks without fail.

Carrie Good I dont understand why the lady doing my nails needed to go as fast as she could. This is terrible. Im not ever coming back. The pictures I took dont even show just how truly awful they look. Ive been searching for someone new to do my nails since the person who had been doing them moved out of my area. When she started, I asked how long she had been doing nails. She stated 15 years. At that amount of time, I would expect someone to have a much greater skill set than what was done. What happened to taking pride in the work you do? Attention to detail. Maybe she is tired of doing nails? Maybe they need better lighting? I work so hard for my money, as most of society does. When I am paying $50 for a service and this is the result, I am very upset. I feel taken advantage of. This experience at this particular nail salon made I feel as tho I was an inconvenience. The pictures dont show how bad it really is. They are so lumpy and uneven. Some are not even straight. Some flair out like a duck foot. I was so upset I just paid and walked out. The next day, after working 1 hour, the polish started peeling up, and the nail started to chip off. I stopped back by after work. She told me that it was old polish and could pick a new color. She then stated that I wanted "square," and thats what that was. I wanted it square/round "squoval." I even provided 2 reference pictures of what I wanted. They look nothing like the pictures. If she had taken some sort of accountability, I would have just had it fixed. I had asked for it to be taken off and my money back. Nail salons are a dime a dozen. Finding a good nail tech is rare.

candi mcculloch I usually just go to target for the cvs pharmacy or safeway but there is always parking, it has a significant variety of stores and is pretty darn clean. Just be careful because there are many roads and sometimes people drive too fast or avoid stop signs.

AJ Orjalo This Plaza is great and near my neighborhood. Has all the basic shops you need along with plenty of fast food/restaurants.

Oanh Schlesinger My mother 86 yr old mother was waiting in the car, with my two pugs in the back seat, while I did a little shopping. Upon my return my mother indicated that a lady she didn’t know opened the car door and removed four gold bracelets from her arm. It was a Saturday and the parking lot was full. Later it was determined that the lady, and a driver sitting in a white car nearby, was part of a gypsy theft ring operating in the area. I am very concerned for the safety of all shoppers who frequent this store.

ShockZ Baby She is highly unprofessional. Charged 400$ for a service, never did the service and refused to send the money back. Had several excuses. Months later and still refused to refund. Then threatened court, and said she’s not giving the refund. If you aren’t gonna do the service, don’t take the money for them. It’s giving thief tbh.

Samantha Stewart The BEST nail salon, I’ve been going here for about a year. I appreciate they are cognizant about their (and the clients) schedule- sitting around for an extra 40min because a nail tech is multitasking with 5 different clients sucks and I’ve never experienced that here. Their attention to detail shows in their high quality work, my gel manicure is over two weeks old and despite the grow out there is NO peeling or chipping. Not even close. I was hesitant to write a review because I wanted to safeguard my fave nail place… but that’s not fair to their wonderful business or anyone wanting the best mani pedi!

Meghan Johnson This was my first time coming here and I must say all of the ladies that work here are really nice. Ive been getting gel full sets and fill in for years now and when I came here the woman was very careful,gentle and precise. I had my son with me this day and towards the end he started to fuss so naturally I gave him his binky. In doing so my nail rubbed caught his blanket causing lint to get on my nail which shouldnt have happened since Id already stuck my hands under the UV light twice. Come to find out the set timer was only on for 5 seconds and should have been 1 minute. I seen her getting the pieces of lint of my nails and said good she got it all come to find out she didnt so now Im stuck with a lint nail. You can barely see it but its the principle. OVERALL I give them 4 stars and will be going back. Next time Ill just pay for more attention to my hands.

Savana Devine Best salon I’ve been to. It’s normal to wait a little before getting started, it’s like that in most nail shops especially if you don’t have an appointment. So to make your wait more enjoyable they put on good Netflix movies, it almost feels like we’re a bunch a girls just hanging out lol! Anne does a great job on eye brows and acrylic with design, worth the price!

Patricia Oten Absolutely loved this place. If you look at my other review from a nail salon here in Washington, You can clearly see the difference in service. They took their time and paid attention to detail on my toes. Got my hang nails & shaped my toenails nicely. I got the Minty pedicure. Its only a few dollars more than the regular pedi and totally worth it. Id come back to this place if i ever return to visit. Thank you for taking such good care of my sister and i on our visit!!

Kayla Stinson My very first time here. My regular nail salon was closed and they worked me in for 4:30. The young lady who did my nails was so sweet and so fun to chat with. She got the length perfect and my nails have never been so smooth and shiny. No imperfection at all. Not to mention I asked her to match my nails with my toes and she searched endlessly for the perfect color including mixing two colors together. I don’t think I can go back to my original lady now cuz she did such an amazing job. Beautiful salon, a little small, but they were all super professional but just laid back enough. I can’t wait to go back. Edit: took my bestie here for pedi and mani date. I had the same technician as the last couple of times. Can I just say: she absolutely understood the assignment. The lady who did my pedicure had me in stitches. Every single tech here has the most bright personality in the universe and I will never go anywhere else. They were absolutely amazing and made for a laid back perfect atmosphere. Love these ladies. Will never go anywhere else. Bestie agreed

K W I took my mom here for mother’s day since the ratings were 5 stars. I wanted to make it special, so we got the higher end pedicures. The lady did not even massage my feet. I also had a polish change and cut down. My nails were sharp and uneven. I couldn’t say anything because she was already doing a pedicure on someone else. Then when I was going to pay she was trying to charge 50 per pedi when in the menu it stated 40. I am so unhappy, because I really wanted to like this place. Super disappointed because where do you go when you want people to actually care about your nails instead of just pushing you through??!!

You want you nails done right, believe she will deliver. With creativity comes with cost and has been reasonable. Check her IG @thi.beautybox. These were all done from her. Felicia D Doing an experiment and trying out all the salons here in dupont, so far this one would be my 2nd choice, they are open Sundays which was convenient but a little bit of a rushed atmosphere...nails are good....and cleaning could be kept up better.

E Aunger I really like this place! I went all out and they were all for it. She was accommodating to me even though they were really busy. I’ve been here before this visit and they were also awesome. Great price for using 4 colors, $30. Also, they have really cool color changing nail polish as well. However, since they were busy they didn’t do the finishing touches on the nails like the usually do but it’s okay, I can probably do that myself! Anyway, overall great experiences here and I will definitely be coming here regularly.

aisha moody Usually good but this time not. My cousin and I both got pedicures and she got a nail polish change and I got a fill. I MADE a 12 noon appointment to avoid crowdiness. Two people worked on my cousin at the same time. One did the polish change and one did her pedicure while I got my fill which took a total of 20 minutes. Did I mention there was no one in the salon so why the rush. She didn’t even get her feet to soak. I didn’t even get my feet to soak this time either. It was just a rush job and u can tell by my nails. I will go somewhere else to get them polished. I won’t Come here again for a pedicure and I will make an appointment with the person I want specifically for my nails. Nails are normally good but I got a new person.

Talia Parrish I was so excited to take my mom out for a girls day, I thought Kayla’s was the perfect place to go as I’ve been a costumer in the past, and never had an issue in quality. Well, I was very wrong. Our 3 pm appointment started 30 minutes late, and my moms nails turned out messy, splotchy, and poorly filed. The technicians insensitivity about my skin picking disorder in front of others was embarrassing. For $120, the service was far below expectations. Formerly a fan of Kaylas Nails, the decline in quality is disheartening. A frustrating two hours in the salon resulted in nails I now have to redo myself. Highly disappointed with the overall service and outcome. Additionally, despite my mother expressing concerns about the quality and imperfections multiple times, the nail technician continued with the subpar job not even attempting to fix the issues my mother pointed out to her. Its disheartening that they allowed my mom to leave with nails that were far from satisfactory, showing no remorse for the low-quality service. Excusing the messiness by blaming the dip powder used is unacceptable; investing in better-quality products should be a priority for a reputable salon. The overall experience left much to be desired, and the lack of accountability from the salon is disappointing. I will not be returning.

Myrna Andres I visit this salon for manicures and pedicures, and my stylist, Q, is excellent. However, i recently tried underarm waxing. Their sign says $15, which I found overpriced. Despite this, I went in for the service. But when I paid, I was shocked to be charged $30. Kayla explained that she charges $15 for each underarm, which I found ridiculous

It was my first time going there so i was extremely nervous but their extensive website and welcoming shop eased my nerves. I will definitely be a returning customer.

Mai Nguyen I had a good time getting my nails done at this place. I usually get a basic manicure, gel nails, or gel nail removal (see pic with my bare nails). The only time I thought service was "meh" was when I had the color 219 done on my nails (see pic). Service will depends on which technician does yours nails.

Breanna Frizzell I’ve gone to this place 3 times hoping it’d work for me. They don’t know how to do design, but they are very patient and tried to do what I asked, which I’ll give them that. This last time I went they were so harsh on my nails, I had to pull away multiple times. They had the drill going on my nail & cut through my nail. So painful. I’ve NEVER had that happen and I’ve been getting my nails done for years. They were nice & gave me a discount and were very nice to my daughter. But overall not the best nail salon, I’ve never been satisfied with my nails from here.

Luna If I could give 0 stars, I would. If you are considering going here please read this first. This was easily one of the worst, overpriced nail services I have ever had. I went in with nothing on my nails and asked for overlay with gel. I didnt consider taking a picture, but I should have so you can see how badly they were done. She absolutely butchered my nails. She rushed the entire time, mind you, they werent busy, I was the only one there. There was no shape, just the overlay clumped onto my skin and nails. The gel color was TERRIBLE. All over my skin and not painted on half of the nails. She still had the audacity to charge me $60. I just went to CK Nails to have them fix the hack job this lady did. They were shocked by how bad it was and asked me if I had tried to do them myself. They were so bad the lady who fixed them didnt even charge me for removal of the old overlay. Please please please do not go here! Dont waste your money. CK Nails is 5 minutes away and they do a phenomenal job every time.

Bobby Bryant Have been twice. First time my nails were hastily done. Second time, unable to get in. Staff seemed unfriendly and distant. Can only speak to my own 2 times walking through door, but there are way better local nail salons that are at least pretending to be happy to see non binary folk.

We even complained at the end and the manager just shrugged her arms. My nails are already chipping and they look bumpy. My nail polish was still stuck to my skin at the end. Will Never go here again.. If you guys are looking in the area for a nail salon just go around the building there is another nail salon on the other side, I had a much better experience there. Oh and for Covid happening it was very unsanitary. :( very disappointing....

Carina Lewis Really disappointed in my nails. The gel polish is all over my cuticles and not fully curred on the edges and not a smooth polish application. Its going to lift in less than a week. When I asked to have it fixed she just took cuticle nippers to some of the areas and didnt really fix the problem. Ill be filling them around the cuticles as they grow which I should have to do. She just stopped trying at a point and walked away. Will not be returning. My pedicure was good and the lady took her time and did a great job. The only reason for any stars at all. Update: my polish chipped with the first few days and it was supposed to be gel. Another nail salon had to repaint them. While that was happening, they said they did such a bad job there was water that got into the acrylic and was starting to form fungus. They said it looked like they used regular polish and just covered it with gel. Never again.

S L I went here on a whim, hoping to find a better nail salon than the one up the street. Good friendly service from the older lady but not the pedicure service I usually receive from other nail salons. Color choice not so broad, gel manicure not good like the others either. I wouldn’t recommend if you expect the full pedicure service, color choice and the look of gel polish. 5bucks cheaper but I think She caters more to the older generation.
