Max Hasenoehrl Best haircut in my life!!! I got tired of the sport/super/master cut chains that make you feel like another number with pushy hard up sells for hot towels and scalp massages. I could never seem to find the look I wanted until now. It has been transformative in how good I look and feel. She was able to provide exceptional technical expertise in identifying what I wanted. I was impressed by how good she was at analyzing, interpreting and summarizing the look I was expecting. She demonstrate detailed customer service and is very professional. Jeff Hawk Sandy has been expertly cutting my hair for the last (almost) three years at Gene Juarez. After my very first cut from her, I told her she should wasting her talent there; venture out and open her own shop. All these months later, she finally heeded my advice and did just that; and let me tell you, she did it perfectly. Unlike most stylists, she doesnt just cut hair, she bends it to her will. Every cut is damn near surgical in its precision; never a miss with the shears, never a hair out of place. Like all the great masters of their craft, Sandy makes the entire process seem effortless. Ive been in dozens of salons in my life, and NO ONE has ever made my hair look as good as she does. That is not hyperbole, that is a statement of fact. Period. The studio itself is really well put together, minimalist in its style, but dont let the lack of space fool you. Its warm and inviting with tons of natural light and ergonomic chairs. Its comfortable, like you wish you could pour a glass of scotch, chat with Sandy and hangout there longer comfortable. She also has great taste in music, playing softly in the background. Not the usual fare preferred by most salons; you know the kind of music that makes you think youre at the dentist. She plays great stuff, from a wide range of styles. Its a little thing sure, but its one of many things that makes the overall vibe of the studio so thoroughly enjoyable. As far as Im concerned, Mens Hair Studio is flat out the new standard of what a hair experience should be like. Its so enjoyable Im for the first time in my life bummed that I have a full head of hair. I need it to grow faster so I can get back and have another turn in Sandys chair.

Trygve Vandal As a guy with long hair its hard to find a decent stylist and a good or great one is dang near impossible. Only ever found two great ones and Sandy is one of them. She is a specialist when it comes to hair as in savant level special. She also is completely knowledgeable and comfortable about long hair for guys which is extremely uncommon. This is first time in 4 years that I let anyone make more than minor changes to my hair and I would rather loose multiple digits than have the hair messed up. So trust me, you can trust her and know it will come out right. As a person and professional she prioritizes her customers first in everyway. She acutally made me a list of items for hair care as well as detailed instructions on up keep and suggested alternatives to save me money over my normal products. In fact Im pretty certain the cost of the cut and beard trim was less than the amount I will save in hair products. By far best money on my hair or beard I have ever spent. Overall the best place for guys who seriously care about their hair or beards and probably the only place a guy with long hair should go in the Seattle area.

Jordan Naval Thao has been cutting my hair for like over a decade now! She mainly specializes in barber work but she does cut women’s hair too. She’s very quick but thorough, I’ve never left disappointed. We’ve mainly done trims, she’s cut bangs on me a few times but I’ve gotten a bob from her like 2-3 times and have always gotten compliments! And she gives the best hair massages when she’s washing and shampooing your hair.

Kiddig B Thao is a phenomenal stylist and has been doing my hair for years, I can always trust that shes going to make me look great when I go to her, and recommends the best styling products for my hair as well. I can very easily recommend Thao!

Jan Kim Grumbles Before going in to see Alice, my last professional hair cut was about 8 years ago. In between that time, I always ended up cutting my own hair because no matter who cut my hair, I almost always felt dissatisfied. I have thick Asian hair that is wavy in some parts and strait in other parts. It’s also dry so I struggle with frizz and keeping my hair smooth. Finding someone who was able to understand the texture and wave pattern of my hair was important to me. I’m so glad a close friend of mine introduced me to Alice because for the first time in 8 years, I can wear my hair down and be satisfied with how it lays on my shoulders. Despite my hair texture, Alice knew exactly how to cut and layer my hair. Even if I don’t use any products or style it, my hair still falls and settles so nicely. Alice was so great at asking questions regarding my hair goals and suggesting styles that would fit my hair type. She was also so fun to just talk to as she worked her magic on my hair! If it wasn’t for Alice, my hair would be constantly clipped up or under a hat. All this to say, I’m so glad I don’t have to cut my own hair anymore! I was really hesitant at first because I had never colored my hair before and I didnt want the change to be super drastic, but Kimberly did such a great job of making the highlights look really natural! Runting Shao It’s Chinese new year the salon I usually went to is temporarily closed so I just feel like trying out a new hair salon. I made an appointment yesterday for 1:30 pm today and the barber offered 1pm himself so I said sure I am fine with 1pm. I got to the salon at 1, right on time, surprisingly realized he was help some other customer. So I waited for 25 mins and ran out of patience and I left. What is the point of having appointments if you are expecting your customer to wait for so long??? If you are expected to be busy at 1, why are you offering 1pm appointment? I have to say I am really disappointed and I would hope the owner would consider respecting others valuable time. And I promise I will never go back and would not recommend this salon to anyone

Divya Mathew Ive passed by Hair Studio 18 quite a number of times and one day decided to stop by for a consultation and prices and spoke with Dana. I read the positive reviews about the salon and specifically her, and decided to give them a try and Im so happy I did. Dana is a magic worker with a sweet soul :) She is a talented hair professional with extensive experience. I got a hair cut, balayage and a keratin treatment done here. For context, I have thick, black, frizzy Indian hair and wanted a sleek but natural look and she delivered it. She told me exactly what to expect, calmed my anxities(mostly because of bad experience in the past). She answered my questions and never lost patience, she even shared haircare tips. I bought the shampoo and conditioner that she recommended from the salon but it was not a sales pitch in anyway. You can tell that Dana genuinely cares about her clients and strives to achieve the results they want. She did her magic and Voila! (See pics for results.) I get so many compliements for my hair, all thanks to Dana :) Ive found my stylist! P.S- This is washed and dried keratin treated hair with a dark balayage, as per my request.

Isabella Davie I’ve gotten my hair cut here a few times and they’ve always done such a wonderful job. I decided to get my hair colored here and Trang went above my expectations. I wanted part of the under layer of my hair to be blonde, almost silver and she was able to reach that with one session in about 3 hours. She was very mindful with the sectioning as well and placed the bleach in a way where I wouldn’t have to worry too much about regrowth. Will definitely come here again for whenever I decide to switch up my hair.

neha I am very happy with my haircut after a long time. This was my first time at hair studio 18 and Dana gave me a beautiful layered haircut. She was on time and very friendly. She understands Indian hair texture and hair type. I am definitely coming again. :)

khanh bui My wife went here to have her dead ends cut off and a bang trims. She specifically asked for 1/2 an inch off but was told it was going more than an inch because of how much there was. She accepted the recommendation. She was then offered layered cuts, which she refused because she had had it before, and it did not look good. The stylist did the layered cuts ANYWAYS. Causing her hair to look awkward and choppy. She then asked for a bang trim with specific instructions that only her existing bangs should be trimmed as she has her specific preferences. The stylist cut her bangs and then ADDED more bangs but cutting off hair that she was trying to grow longer. A visit that was supposed to be around $80, but because she forced the layered upcharge, it became $100. My wife even tipped her $20 for her hair to not only be ruined for MONTHS; she would have to get extensions to fix the damages that were done to her hair. We are expecting a refund AND additional compensation for my wife hair treatment. Her hair was so bad she came home, CRYING to me. Pictures are of before and after. $120 to get her hair ruined and self-image destroyed. This review will be published on other platforms as well. Please advise when visiting here that your opinion does not matter.

Susan Kim Ive been going to Uni for a couple of years now and all my boys get their hair done by her as well. Shes very detailed and will also do dry cuts too. I have very thick kind of wavy Asian hair and she knows how to manage it. I love the different techniques she uses you can see shes very experienced and versatile with her skills. Her location near Downtown Bellevue is very convenient too! My boys have had their haircuts at numerous places prior to finding her but they love her cuts the best! Highly recommend!!

I rarely leave fully positive reviews, but I struggled to come up with any negative points. I wholly recommend you give her a try if you are in the area!

My boyfriend was the first to find her salon because he was interested in finding a better style for himself, and the first thing I said when he walked back in the door was: "Thats the best haircut Ive seen you walk out of a salon with." He recommended that I give her a call because I myself had been looking for a stylist after moving to Bellevue, and I was not disappointed. Geena is honest, hardworking, and very good at her job. Shes energetic and fun to talk to, but also lets me sit quietly if I mentioned I was feeling tired after a long week at work. With her, Ive explored new hairstyles and Ive always felt so pretty afterwards. I have tough, coarse Asian hair and I have a lot of it. But with her help, my hair feels light and bouncy whether its short or long. Most importantly, Geena listens to what I want, and she plans and cuts and styles around me. If I say that I will be unavailable for a while, she gives me advice and styles my hair so that even with low maintenance, it still looks and feels good. When I said I wanted to try a shorter style (which I had never really done before) she gave me a tutorial on how to use dryer and brush to get the look I wanted, and answered questions I had via phone afterwards. She has amazing attention to detail, and she cares for her customers.

David Bai After finding Elley on yelp, Ive been kept going to her to get haircut. Its easy to make an appointment on Yelp. On Yelp, it still says shes located in DT Bellevue area, but shes working in the crossroad mall area as its show in Google review. This small mall has a parking lot, so no need to worry about parking. Elley designs my hair, so that I dont have to spend too much time to style it. Haha, also, I am very bad with styling my hair, but Elley explained very well on how to style my hair and took time to consult about what hair style would look best on me. My hair cut after the consultation was lovey. I do think that she has good understanding about Asian hair and and her skills are excellent! I was lucky to find her. I recently got my hair permed and it saved me tons of time styling my hair in the morning, which I am super happy with!

G.O.B. Where do I start? The atmosphere in here is warm & inviting, & the colors are as lively as the people. Every person who walked through the salon left with fabulous hair! I particularly was blessed by the hands of Ray. Every time I get a chop, it’s almost as if he’s given me MORE hair with how much volume & life it adds. This for me is typically the hardest part about getting my hair done- but I look forward to his cuts. He goes the full mile in ensuring you’re heard- and will adjust accordingly to match your vision. In other instances where I’ve been told there’s one way to achieve my goal- he’s got a couple tricks up his sleeve. He managed to completely lighten & brighten areas that I’ve been told DO NOT lift, & did so without adding further damage. Thank you Ray, Michael & friends for providing an impeccable experience!

Brooke Hansen I got an appointment with Kim really fast. She fixed a bad color job from another salon. I love the result! My color became more natural looking, which is what I wanted. She also explains the techniques she uses and checks the color she will use in advance with you. Positive experience.

Becky Nissel I cant recommend Lewis Au Parc enough. I venture all the way from Ballard to Bellevue just to have Jesse cut my hair—thats how good he is. The entire staff are wonderful, top-tier talent, and the space is the perfect balance of comfortable and chic. Every time I come in, Jesse listens to my thoughts and requests, and offers an expert POV on how to best shape my style. It really is a bespoke approach to service Ive never found anywhere else. If youre looking for someone who brings genuine craft, care, and artistry to hair, do yourself a favor and book an appointment.

sravya Aysola I recently got a haircut here with Jessie, and I really like how the haircut frames my face. Hes thoughtful, but I do wish he’d asked me about how I wanted to style it, rather than just going for a standard blowout. Honestly, the blowout felt kind of flat to me whereas I wanted is like a 90s blowout look. Overall the salon has a luxurious vibe to it and they are very accommodating.
