Lynx W We brought our two year old daughter here to get a dental surgery done and were immediately welcomed with a delightful smelling lobby, a friendly and sweet receptionist, very kid-friendly environment, and safe-feeling space. The dentists and anesthesiologist were all very informative and happy to answer any questions we may have had. They also immediately put on a kids show - Bluey, a family loved show, once we got to the waiting room, the room had toys to play with and a massage chair for the parent(s) / guardian to relax in while waiting, as well as quiet kid-friendly music played out in the lobby. The office has a very calm atmosphere, comfortable seats and lots to do for the kids, definitely recommend. After the procedure was done, the dentist came out to explain and answer any further questions that we may have as well as address any possible concerns, he has been awesome since we came here, so an additional thanks to Dentist / Dr. Collette ❤️

Jeanette Gonzalez Kid approved! This place makes it so fun for little ones! My 2.5 year old instantly loved Smile surfers. The waiting room is a kid friendly play area with a big slide! Once in to see the dentist there are screens for students to keep them entertained and a bubble wall! Afterwards my girl got a token to use for their toy machines at the exit! On the way out there’s also a fish tank. It was such a great experience!

Sarah Roake My husband and I have been been going to West Richland Family Dental for a couple years now since we moved to West Richland and its been a pleasant experience every time. All of the staff weve interacted with have been absolutely wonderful----from reception to insurance to dental hygienists (my last hygienist Hillary was exceptional!) to dentists. They have their process down and it shows! They are always kind, caring and thorough! It shows in their interactions and in the work they do. They listen to concerns and always have answers. You can tell they take time to hire the right people to care for their patients from start to finish.

Told them he had autism and they were understanding and accommodating and treated him so nicely he even got to sit in the doctors chair and play for a bit. Dr. Gill was wonderful and patient with my daughter and she didn’t feel nervous at all because of it. Anastasia was our assistant and she talked with us and made us feel very welcome and was very helpful with any questions I had! Sophia Vanfosson 10/10 would recommend. From the very start, my experience with Viewpoint Dentistry has been amazing. I was experiencing severe tooth pain and felt I needed immediate attention. Being new to the area and needing a new dentist in general, I called Viewpoint in hopes of being seen. I was fortunate enough that they were able to get me in within two hours. Catherine was sweet and lovely from the start, helping me get scheduled and providing me detail and explaining paperwork and insurance billing. Beth was the dental assistant and was so kind and educated me on the issue at hand. Doctor Snow was SO amazing. She not only discussed the prognosis, but went above and beyond with referring me to a specialist and having a discussion about other issues she thought were impacting my teeth, such as sleep apnea. The team as a whole went above and beyond to make me feel truly taken care of and I am so grateful to be a patient at Viewpoint.

Dakota Cline Great place and super friendly and helpful staff that keeps you in the loop the whole way through. Doc Richard is super cool and laid out a solid plan for me to get what I needed done. After neglecting regular dental appointments for years he made sure we had a solid plan to get me back on track and made me feel good about the whole experience and hopefully for the future of my teeth:) also is really solid with referrals when needed.

Breanna Murray I recently moved to the Richland area and saw a Facebook ad for Smart Dental offering a “FREE toothbrush for new patients!” I clicked the link, which directed me to Messenger and sent an automatic message to their page. Someone responded quickly, asked for my availability and insurance, and got me scheduled for a week later. They also sent a link to fill out the new patient forms ahead of time instead of in the office. However, when I arrived for my appointment, I was told during the visit that my insurance doesn’t cover the “free” toothbrush—only private insurances do? When I asked why it wasn’t disclosed, the dentist said it would look bad to put “state insurance not included” in the ad. I was disappointed because I had been excited and told my family, as I’ve always wanted an electric toothbrush. There were also signs in the office about a “free burrito—ask us how!” but I was told by the assistant that my insurance probably wouldn’t cover that either. So these items aren’t truly free—they’re billed to insurance, if applicable. That said, the staff were friendly and welcoming. The dentist felt a bit rushed but still took time to answer my questions, and he kindly offered to give me the toothbrush after I get my crown done. They completed a cleaning and explained that the needed single crown isn’t covered by state insurance, but they gave me a 10% discount, bringing the cost to $1,636.20. Overall, I’d give them 3 stars—the care and team were good, but the lack of transparency in their promotions was disappointing.

Noah Lee My experiences with the hygienists themselves have always been positive. However, the office staff has been nothing short of frustrating. Over the past year and a half, I’ve been rescheduled or had appointments canceled at the last minute on three separate occasions, despite them being scheduled months in advance. On one occasion, I was told, "we scheduled you on a day the hygienist was off." Most recently, my appointment on 4/15/2025 was rescheduled with less than a weeks notice, and I was informed they couldn’t offer me another appointment until August. This lack of consideration is absolutely frustrating. I understand that unforeseen issues can arise, but the complete lack of urgency in offering any sooner alternatives or even a reasonable compromise is baffling. When I expressed my frustration and asked about the possibility of finding a different time, the receptionist gave an indifferent response. Her tone was flat and uninterested, as if she were eager to end the conversation, likely to scroll through her phone or engage in other distractions. Frankly, this is not what I expect from customer service. Alina—if that is indeed your name—you would benefit greatly from some interpersonal communication training. Empathy and a genuine desire to help your clients would go a long way in improving the overall experience. Now you’ll have more time to stuff your face and scroll through your phone, since you’ll be losing my business and at least three others in my family as well. The customer service here is beyond disappointing. I would not recommend this office, especially considering their apparent overbooking and understaffing issues. I suggest looking elsewhere for dental care.

I have had multiple types of procedures executed by Dr Powell and their follow up care insures I am always happy and comfortable in the following weeks.

The Mercures Channel Great experience. Nice, competent and thorough, with reasonable/honest prices. He told me I didnt need a crown where my old dentist wanted one. Most importantly, they didnt make my mouth go through a Crossfit workout of jaw pain... Cleaning and fillings with no pain and very minimal discomfort

Alexandra Witt I got my braces done here, my little sisters got their braces done here, and now all 3 of my boys are getting theirs done here. Although Dr. Ostler is retired, Dr. Bunker is just as wonderful. He always is upbeat and greets us with a smile. The entire office staff is great and I highly recommend. -Also the Richland office is close to Richland High School so that makes appointments easy to get to and from.

As always staff is very friendly, they explain with detail what they are doing and often asking if you are doing ok during the process. I love how quickly they are at getting you checked in and into your appointment on time. Dr, Bunker is the best at what he does. I can’t wait to finish my treatment and see the end result.

Tracy Johnson Was a new customer went in to have a specific procedure done office staff was OK not very welcoming. The doctor was wonderful and the dental hygienist. Wonderful I got a quote for the procedure. Paid the quote the day of my procedure in full to have three months later a bill come to my door Stating not only a bill but a late bill for the remaining amount of what I owed for my procedure due to the fact that she build my insurance for something, but couldn’t improve that it was needed so my insurance would not pay for it so therefore she is stating that I owe the rest never in my years have I ever had will not be going back to this. I don’t like pop-up bills because billing doesn’t know how to do their job

Anika Walter These guys are so great! Just moved into town and scheduled when I saw they had good reviews and there is a reason for that! The doctor was incredible, so gentle and reassuring (getting teeth pulled isn’t fun). But he had it down in a jiffy. They are easy to reach when you have questions and even all the gals at reception are so incredibly helpful. The whole place is clean is looks nice and there is TVs on the ceiling so you can try to distract while procedures are done.

Over the weekend, the cap on my tooth came off, and I was devastated to see that half of the tooth was missing. I was anxious and unsure of what could be done, but then I met Dr. Karlson and his amazing assistant. Dr. Karlson truly worked his magic. sue tarwater I visited the office twice for what I thought was tmj. After the x-ray, it was determined that there was bone growth on my jaw. The doctor was going to consult his colleagues for suggestions since this was new to him. With my permission I was fitted for a bite guard and told to return in a week. The bite guard was fitted, I was told how often to wear it, and to move and stretch my jaw. I was told repeatedly that I was a special case. I left not feeling confident that this was the place for me. I left a message that I would not be continuing care, and the Doctor’s assistant called me back. All she said was the doctor said it will get worse. I told her I wanted the refund owed me. She said it was only $800 because I didn’t have blood work. She said the bite guard was $3750 which included a couple follow ups (which I never had). Total bill: $4500. 2 visits; bite guard; consult and x-ray. Buyer beware!!

Heidi Stewart From the moment I walked in it was different than any medical/dental experience I’ve ever had. Vanessa welcomed me and when I turned around Jenni was already there to take me back and begin procedures (not put me in a room for 10 minutes to be ignored.) She explained the cone beam scan as she did it and answered any questions I had. At one point she didn’t know the answer and left the room for less than two minutes, and came back with it! Dr Bloxham very patiently went over the procedures and explained my scans to me. I’ve never seen full head scans like that so I found it particularly interesting. Makenna came in to go over payment procedure and she was very sweet about all that business stuff. She, Dr Bloxham and Jenni all described what the next few hours, days and weeks would look like for me and as I left Vanessa went over that again. At no time did I feel rushed or passed off, it was actually a lovely and relaxing experience. It hasn’t been long enough for me to know if the injections worked, but I am confident that they either will, or Dr Bloxham will try another method as he informed me he would.

A plan going forward was developed while I was in the office and I am very comfortable with the process now in place to find relief for my TMJ and sleep apnea issues. They told me I probably wouldnt get my cleaning and exam done on the same day, but there was a cancellation and they worked my cleaning right in. Ill definitely be back!

Michelle Extremely unprofessional. I booked the appointment online 2 weeks in advance. When I arrived the front desk told me I had to have my insurance information 24 hrs before the appointment, and that they canceled my appointment. They texted 27 hours before the appointment asking for the insurance information (within 3 hrs, on a Wednesday during work hours). No phone call, no voice mail, no information when booking the appointment. No notification that my appointment was canceled. I lost a half day on PTO and was told theres nothing they could do because the Dr isnt even there. Unprofessional, unacceptable practices.

The assistants made the x-ray process really comfortable and Dr Roberts took the time to explain my x-rays to me and what all his findings meant.
