Ari Tricia is amazing.And incredibly sweet, too. I had been feeling under the weather during my visit here and she was incredibly understanding and got me through, and I came out feeling better and looking better too! She also educated me on tricks and how to style at home, and made good suggestions on types of cuts that would work for my hair (3A, fine, very low porosity). Highly recommend for curly gals

Bee 253 The best my curls have ever looked! I went in and got the Rezo Cut. Tricia did such a great job and she taught me how to care for my curls. I highly recommend Tricia if you are wanting to go natural.

Chioni Ramsey I really liked this place! I really like Tricia! She understood my hair and its (many) different textures. She did exactly what I asked and didnt try to talk me into anything else. I was excited to meet someone with so much curly hair knowledge. Looking forward to our next appointment!

Tiffany Williams Tricia gave me the best hair cut I’ve ever had when I got the Curly Girl package! I have fine hair thats not exactly wavy and not exactly curly, and this texture developed in my 30s. Needless to say I’m still looking for that “just right” routine. I’m not normally one to write reviews, but I’m so happy with my hair that it’d be a shame for me not to share this with other women who might be searching for the same.

Thomas Sarah (莎莎) Had a great experience with Tricia! She is knowledgeable and kind. My hair needed a big chop after going so long in between trims, but she helped me come up with a plan to do it slowly so I wouldn’t lose all my length at once. My curls look better than they have in years.

Kathleen Rose Cruz-Haban I have been struggling for years with finding a hairstylist who is really good with Asian hair and finally I have found my go-to salon! I came in for a layered haircut and balayage and I saw how the owner (assuming she is) was such a perfectionist when she handled my hair. 100% recommend, 10/10 service, and I would definitely come back.

Euna Bae A charming, chic, clean, professional hair studio that looks a lot like those in Seoul, Korea. Service is detailed and very stylish! We would definitely come back here!

Sean Hsu I recently had the misfortune of visiting a local barber shop for what turned out to be a truly disastrous haircut experience. I had heard mixed reviews about this place but decided to give it a shot based on convenience and a friends recommendation. Unfortunately, it was a decision I soon regretted. The hairstylist who attended to me appeared disinterested and rushed. She barely acknowledged my request for a simple trim and instead proceeded to hack away at my hair with alarming speed. I could tell she wasnt paying attention to detail, which became painfully obvious as the haircut progressed. The cutting itself was uneven and sloppy. It seemed as though she was more concerned with finishing quickly than ensuring a neat, professional look. As a result, my hair ended up looking completely lopsided, with one side noticeably shorter than the other. I tried to point out the unevenness, but she dismissed my concerns with a half-hearted apology and proceeded to hastily attempt to fix it. By the time she was done, I was left with a haircut that was not only botched but also unflattering and embarrassing. The worst part was that I had to pay for this subpar service, which felt like adding insult to injury. Overall, my experience at this barber shop was incredibly disappointing. The lack of skill and care demonstrated by the barber left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied. I would strongly advise anyone looking for a quality haircut to steer clear of this establishment. Its clear they prioritize quantity over quality, and the result is a customer experience that falls far short of expectations.

Jonathan Cho i’ve been going to good hair day for a few months after i moved down to lakewood and haven’t found anything better. as an asian american, our haircuts are particular because it can be very straight- and Helen has done great work with not only cuts but had 3 perms with her. she listens and gets you what you want. customer service is top notch too; they have a waiting area where you can make yourself coffee or grab a soda while watching korean dramas. lastly, i think they remodeled the place which vibes with all the aesthetics. highly recommend male or female!

Lee Sanghee I did a perm for the first time in my life. I was worried a lot about what if something went wrong and what if it didnt suit me. But that was a bit of a concern. Helen did it in a style that suited me perfectly. I liked it so much and it gave me a change of mood after I was exhausted from parenting. Helen has been my lifelong stylist. Thank you Helen~!

Ryan Gamas I recently moved here and decided to give this place a chance. Ive now been here three times and been extremely happy with my haircut. The service has been fantastic, my hair looks great and at a price that cant be beat! Mens cuts are only $13. What?! Ive paid way more than that for haircuts elsewhere that dont even compare. They take their time and do it right. I will definitely be returning.

Lin R Leila is AMAZING! Firstly, she took me in literally last minute after I walked into her salon looking for another stylist that ghosted me after I drove an hour down there. Leila was with a client and I didn’t hesitate to offer to stay later for me if I couldn’t get ahold of my stylist. She was extremely professional and gentle. I have fine 3C/4A hair and was worried that the bora bora braids were going to be painful. I was WRONG. I didn’t feel anything and the weight is perfect. She was very quick and offers a variety of drinks and snacks, including wine which was a great touch. Her salon was very clean and well maintained. I feel blessed to have come across an amazing stylists in the world of “hot mess braiders”. If yall are looking for a REAL stylist and professionalism, Leila is your girl! She has a forever client with me.

Destiny Rudolph Leila is incredible! Her shop has such a great vibe its stylish, cozy, and spotless. She’s done my boho knotless braids, Tribal Fulani braids, and feed-in braids, and every single style has turned out stunning. I always get tons of compliments! Mie MI I called this place recently for an appointment. It was a voice mail, and somebody sent me text messages and saying next opening is in September. Its May now. And I was suggested to call them to check cancellations. Do I need to put such effort to reserve this place? Did you notice one of google reviews stated "Tina" was good, and its posted by somebody named Tina. I dont believe these reviews are posted by real customers.

Christina Clark Back in may I called this salon crying. My usual salon had to rebook me for the day before I flew out for a wedding and butchered my hair. The first pictures are how I came into the salon. They were one of the only salons still open and graciously took me in as a walk-in. They fixed my hair and while it was shorter than I had wanted, it looked beautiful and I felt a million times better than when I had walked in. They even took the time to give me pointers on how to style it with limited resources. I’d give more than 5 stars if I could and I’ll certainly be back.

Lauren Mitchell I haven’t had my hair colored or styled for 2+ years and I was a little anxious. Sophia was very friendly and accommodating, so I had her color my hat and some style. She LISTENED to me and provided an excellent service. I highly recommend!

Bills My hair is in bad shape thanks to this Salon. I wanted a haircut and shampoo(which I got) AND the lady cutting my hair also decided to style it, which I didnt ask for nor did she ask if I wanted so needless to say, I was charged an extra $20. My hair was pretty long (to my behind) and I asked that it be cut to the middle of my back. Well, that didnt happen. The lady cut a pieces of hair on each side and asked if the length was okay. It wasnt because she had cut it to my shoulders but what choice did I have? I had to continue with the haircut or walk around in public with half cut hair. In short, I would never recommend this place. Even the layers she put in my hair are uneven. How does that even happen?????? What beauty school did she go to? Not worth the money or the time if the stylist doesnt listen to what you want and does what they want.

Sarah Wiseman Bridget is amazing. I set up my appointments and she does not get upset if I change it to my kids haircut instead. She is kind and listens to what we want each time. She is easy going about changing directions and will also let you know if she wants to change something that she sees in your style.

Cailderon Bridget was the stylist that worked on me and i can not praise her enough for how well of a job she did. I knew what I wanted and she almost seemed more excited to color my hair than I was to get it done. She did the bleaching for the under color very well and made sure to often ask whether or not it was burning which imo is always a good sign youre in good hands (it never did burn btw) and gave me some styling tips too. I really loved how my hair turned out and genuinely feel like as long as you know what you want done, youll get it. Ive had bleach in before and hesitated to do it again bc of how unhealthy it made my hair feel but my hair still feels so healthy and nice. Definitely gonna be my go-to place from now on!

Arlene Walsh Today was my first appointment with Lan. When I stepped into the salon, she immediately knew who I was from my phone call. I was welcomed by her warmth and smile. There were 5-6 persons ahead of me, but the time went quickly as Lan spoke to all in the salon and it was easy to see they were return clients. That made me feel good. There is a friendly atmosphere in the salon and Lan takes the time to meet each clients needs. Her talent with a scissors is unbelievable. I asked her to use her judgment and I was thrilled with the cut. The price is unexpectedly low for such talent and I eagerly look forward to my next appointment for color, highlights, and style. I want to fit her in to my weekly schedule. I was a "happy camper", when I left. Lan is amazing!

Zachary Jones I dont think I can give this place five stars, as it doesnt do it quite justice, but its the max so well settle. I was here yesterday to get my first haircut in years, and I had a great experience from the moment I met the hairdressers to me paying & leaving. Friendly, but not overly chatty, reasonably priced service especially for the result, and the first haircut Ive immediately liked in my entire life!

He is a true barber and it is hard to find someone that can remember the way you like your hair , Rell is very persistent and does a great job every time. Its nice to be able to get the same results each and every time. Went here for the first time and never went anywhere else. His professionalism exceeds and surpasses all the others barbers I have gone to in the past. Make an appointment with him and you will not regret it.

L Gave them a try, assuming they could capably cut hair of all ethnicities and our usual place was closed. I took my young son there after school and Rell messed his hair up. I showed him a photo that my kid has been growing his hair out for months to try to replicate. I guess the haircut wasn’t “fresh” enough, because Rell made a comment that the cut wasn’t going to do him any favors. Don’t really care what you think, but Ok - should have left at that point but we agreed for it to be slightly shorter than pictured because he said it would look better, and I thought we were good. I left him to it. Rell took it upon himself at the end to do a “line up” on a white boy’s hair and then tell me after that “he wanted it.” This child doesn’t even understand what that means or what he was agreeing to and Rell didn’t show enough respect for either of us to clarify or ask me if I wanted something that wasn’t agreed upon at the start, wasn’t in the photo I provided, and definitely didn’t go with the hair type or longer haircut style my son wanted. The haircut looks so stupid. Rell looked amused, as if he did it on purpose (maybe we weren’t welcome there and he wanted to make sure we knew that?). He smirked like he found it funny that I was shocked and disappointed with the result. He said “you gotta let the barber know.” Dude, I showed you a picture. Nowhere in that picture was a young child with straight white boy baby hairs cut into a “line up” on a middle part undercut. His hairline looks like trash now. He has to comb his hair down over his forehead for the next few months to cover it up now. The cut was rushed. It was choppy and not well-blended on his thick straight hair. I could have watched a YouTube video and done a better job myself. This guy must be really new to cutting hair? I found this barber to be disrespectful and predatory toward children. My kid burst into tears when we got in the car because he felt like he had done something wrong. He told me he didn’t understand what the barber had asked him, but because he felt intimidated he just said yes to whatever he said. :( The whole thing just felt gross. I did not find this place welcoming or “family friendly” as advertised. It felt unprofessional, and unsafe for my child. Lesson learned.

Ana Lucia R Bel I found this salon here on yelp, and let me tell you I am sooo happy! I had been shopping around because I wanted coloring and cutting my hair but was nervous. Let me tell you Chuya did a great job!! The reason I decided to take a chance on this salon was because of the reviews. I called and made my appointment with the owner, La Chuya. When I walked in I thought I was impressed by how friendly she was. Chuya herself was very nice and took the time to ask me several questions regarding my hair history. From there she went over the different options I had available to me. I am happy to report today is my second appointment and I am soon looking forward to it.. 5 stars all the way!

Sara Jackson The salon offers the widest range of African hairstyles and services for African hair in one place that I know of. The salon is warmly decorated and comfortable to wait in and have your hair done. Great sinks and hair dryers. There are multiple stylists who have different schedules and specialties. It’s nice to have one on one discussions for scheduling as you can also send photos and describe the desired design. Shout out to Kia! She creates beautiful designs and is a complete pleasure to talk to. She has given me a braided up pony tail twice as well as a shampoo press and trim - all excellent!

Nicole Carter I am a hard person to please when it comes to my hair, but Kia did an amazing job on my braids, I also seen a style that Tasha did! Amazing talent in the shop! I recommend 100% and the prices are reasonable!

Koreena Hawkins I was hesitant about posting this because Ive received great service in the past but this last visit was just too much for me! First, the stylist insisted I buy hair of two different colors of hair to get the tone I wanted causing hours more of work instead of just letting me get an hombre pack of hair like the client did next to me who got the same style but got to leave hours earlier. Secondly she over booked and stopped doing my hair completely to do braids on another clients hair entirely before coming back to mine. Thirdly I told her I needed my hair a certain length to be within regulations at work and she totally forgot causing her to have to cut it awarkdly. I thought it was ok before I left not being able to see the back but once I got home I saw how bad it was and had to redo it myself because it was so many different lengths. Also it was highly over priced. I couldve gotten better customer service for half the price. I dont recommend going here and dont appreciate being put to the side for whatever reason while another person gets their hair done and when I get my hair done I didnt want to have to spend hours fixing it especially if I paid about $500 for it.

Attiya Charrington Short review: This year I booked a hair appointment for my annual holiday photos. They are so important to me and my hair appointment at Ms. Beautiful me Salon ruined them for me. I gave 2 stars because Alxandra did fix everything. I think she did a good job once it was done correctly. That said, her energy and attitude during the experience was not good. She was very defensive prior to apologizing, and was not at all talkative which made the hours 9 hours (7 one day, 2 another) in the chair awkward. I spent a lot of money for my hair to be done nicely for one of my favorite days of the year. I feel like I may now have to do my photos over again due to crooked the cut is. I most likely will not return, and if I do, I likely will not be seeing Alx. She did a good job once fixing my hair, but her communication skills are lacking once you are in the chair. Our personalities obviously were not a match and I am very saddened and disappointed by this experience and hope to chat with the owner to provide suggestions for the future.

Gabrielle Cleveland Ms beautiful me salon is very warm and inviting. From the moment I stepped in I felt welcome. The music is always on point and the customer service is excellent. My stylist is Alxandra, I ALWAYS have a ton of questions and sometimes don’t quite know what I want, but she’s always very professional and patient. The thing I love most is her love and how much knowledge she has about curl patterns! Me and my daughter’s hair has grown under her care.

Yasmin Jungbauer Ive been to many salons and worked in a few myself and I can easily say that Alexandra is one of the best. She was recommended to me after I reached out to a friend who kept posting bomb hair photos on Instagram. I send my sister to her and she had a positive experience as well. Every part of the service from booking the appointment to when I walked out the door was professional, friendly, and efficient. She gave me some product recommendations as opposed to aggressively trying to sell me some overpriced nonsense like some upscale salons do and I greatly appreciate her for that. Melissa Harder Basically...she saved my wedding day. My hair was falling out due to over processing and I was a wreck 3 weeks before the big day. I found this ANGEL on a Facebook beauty group and she was able to get me in within just a few days for a consultation to see what it would take it to make me feel beautiful for the wedding. A week later I was her first appointment of the day and sat in her chair for a good 7 or 8 hours. She was nothing short of amazing, kind and patient. I have never walked away so completely in love with how my hair looked.
