The dentist was patient and kind. I am beyond impressed at this place. They deserve more than 5 stars!! I needed emergency services and they got me in right away. They were super nice and just very kind. I had my second visit and I have to say that I was treated very good this time as well. My dental plan was discussed in detail with me, all my questions were answered and I never felt rushed.

Eve Emerson Early morning 7am appointment for my first office visit. The office gals were very pleasant and thanked me for becoming a new patient. Each person there was warm and engaging. The Dr. was personable, able and willing to explain my dental plan for care which was written up and given to me before I left. The prices were exceptionally reasonable. Great first time experience and Im looking forward to establishing myself with Dr. Readel at his Monroe and Francis, Spokane office.

Nissa Baxter As embarrassing as it is, at the ripe old age of 36, I am still afraid of the dentist. The sounds, smells, exam rooms, tools, hell even the lead vest, every aspect of it is paralyzing for me. I have to get exams and cleanings with laughing gas. I was refereed to Dr. Matta and his team from my Oral Surgeon, he came with glowing reviews. Even so, I was very reluctant. When I tell you he did not disappoint, he did not disappoint. After my jaw surgery l needed to completely redo all my dental work. As you can imagine, for someone like me, this was a nightmare. Extractions, implants, root canals, fillings, crowns, I had to have it all done. It meant visit after visit, months of work, my anxiety and fears were at an all time high. Dr. Matta and his staff emotionally, mentally, and financially worked through all my needs with me. They made me comfortable, they talked me through everything, explained every step, I never felt judged or ridiculous for my irrational fears, they literally held my hand. They offer such a warm, inviting, and soothing environment. I have free dental through my insurance and I pay out of pocket to come and see Dr. Matta and his staff, they are that good! They undid years of built up fears and trauma, that I had stored up from previous dental experiences. I’m proud to say I’ve had several visits now with no laughing gas! To some that’s not a big deal, but to me it speaks volumes to their level of care and passion for their work. I owe them everything. Make the call, It’s worth the consult

Jacqueline Ostendorf Okay I’m the patient every dentist dreads, I’m not just anxious and scared I have a full blown phobia. I just relocated to Spokane after an extended illness which meant I hadn’t seen a regular DDS for over 4 years. I tried several dentists here in town and although I’m sure they are all very professional it just wasn’t a good fit for me. I even visited a sedative Denistry office and they recommended Dr Matta. I cannot put into words how it feels to walk into his office it’s like a warm hug from both him and his staff. I’ve never encountered such genuine caring and professionalism for both my emotional as well as my dental needs. I’ve finally found my family dentist and what a relief. I can’t say my fear is totally gone, but with the help of Dr Matta and his terrific staff I’m on the right road. Thank you Dr Matta and Staff

Tamarra H These guys are amazing! They were able to get me in the next day for a craked tooth. When the Dr. saw me he knew I needed an extensive root canal. I was in so much pain I just wanted them to pull it. Doc advised against it because he knew the tooth was still good. They called all around to find someone that could fit me in. The best they could find was four days away. What I did not know was that they were still calling around. The next morning they called me with a new apt for that afternoon. I was able to get the root canal that day with Inland Endodontics. That Friday I went back to Bright Now for my cap. They were able to save my tooth. They have a dedicated pt here. Thank you for helping to get me out of the worst pain Ive ever experienced.

Cate Carpenter This place is… strange? lol. Pretty uncomfortable environment for a dental office. My first visit was an hour and a half and I didn’t even get my teeth cleaned. I wish I was more informed that my cleaning would be a separate visit from the initial visit. They went over billing for a filling with me while I was in the dentist chair and made me sign even though I didn’t want it done? The person that did my X-rays was very sweet but didn’t seem to have much experience or proper training/resources.

Shirley Richter I am just beginning this feared journey with This clinic an staff. I have suffered with chronic pain in my teeth and jaw all my life ( I will be 60 later in the year). I am so sensitive to pain. I don’t get numb with local anesthetic. I have always been sedated even when having cleanings done. The root canals done some 40+ years ago have fallen out. It’s causing trouble and now my teeth are breaking apart like my father’s teeth did. I’ve had my initial consultation and will meet later this month with the oral surgeon. I’m terrified. The staff I have interacted with were amazing. I had a panic attack or some embarrassing feeling wash over me. I hope I wasn’t to disturbing and they will want to help me. But this first meeting gives me hope I haven’t felt regarding my teeth. This group of people are gifted. I will update this comment later when they begin the treatment. Thank you Bright Now dental! I’m sorry you had to deal with my crazy emotions.

Hamish I hate the dentist and have avoided it like the plague for nearly ten years, but some friends recommended smile source to me and I went very tentatively. Two appointments in and I cannot say enough lovely things about Paige!!! She goes above and beyond to ensure comfort, understanding and clarity, and regularly checks in throughout the appointment to make sure I’m still doing okay. I still don’t enjoy the dentist but having Paige as my hygienist makes my appointments a lot more bearable, and my appointment today was the most comfortable appointment I’ve ever had! -Olivia

Daniel Clevett I am not their nicest customer. Hate going to the Dentist. I tease and harass the staff about being a shady dental office that is just after my money and constantly make jokes about Oh you just doing that to get money" to the point they say I knew you were foing to say that. In reality, they are a super nice dentist office with great staff that take time on you. They will chat with you. I hate the polishing and request they do it quickly and they do. To be clear they are not shady, but I wont stop joking. It is just an sense of humor that helps me get through a place I dont like going to.

Chu Huynh I hated dentists my entire life and I never went because of the extreme anxiety I would get. Now in my 40s, its all coming back to bite me in the rear. Luckily, I was referred to Smile Source in the valley and I am so glad I went. Everyone, and I truly mean, EVERYONE in this office is amazing, friendly and caring!!! They put me at ease and made dentist visits a lot more bearable. The journey to fixing all my teeth has begun and I could nkt be happier!!

Megan Lehman Downriver Smiles is hands down the best dentist I’ve ever been to. From the moment you walk through the door Stacey greets you with a smile! My hygienist Melissa is the great! She’s so gentle and my teeth always feel so clean when she is done. And Dr. Gaunt is always so kind and gentle. I’ve had crowns and fillings done by him and never had any issues. I have a fear of the dentist but not after going to Downriver. I felt no anxiety when having treatment done. Will recommend this office to anyone!

After the initial consultation with Dr. Harding at Down River Smiles, I felt confident in his knowledge and skills. Dr. Harding demonstrated empathy and care throughout the entire process. His goal was to ensure I would be happy with the results. Dr. Harding explained each step throughout the process, and he demonstrated a great deal of patience. Additionally, Dr. MaCall, the owner of this practice, was involved in the initial consultation and in the surgery. Both these Doctors were exceptional. Sunspire Dr. Gaunt is great, but I had a terrible experience with front office staff, specifically Francesca. I cannot recommend this office due to how I was treated. Update: On 4/18/2025, a staff member named Patti called my husband asking him to request that I remove my Google review. Instead of addressing the issue directly, they tried to silence my feedback. That’s incredibly unprofessional and concerning.

Gianna Neet I had a wonderful experience at Comfort Dental! I have never felt the need to leave a review at a dentist office prior to this experience, but Brenda was a great help during my visit. She is very thorough, passionate, and well-educated. Brenda was more than accommodating during my cleaning. She had answers and explanations for all my questions, and offered insightful solutions to issues. She was beyond kind, and so easy to talk to. She made my visit comfortable and enjoyable. I never enjoy going to the dentist, and I never expect it to be a pleasant time, but Brenda certainly made this experience a great one.

David Hurley 1 is the least score I can give, and its too high. A group of folks dedicated to separating your money from your mouth. Always made sure they used up every penny of the medicare money every year. Told me my teeth needed to all be pulled and to get dentures. Gave me a bunch of BS about getting uppers and lowers at different times. The denturist had to give me the facts, AFTER they pulled all the bottom teeth and sent me to get lower dentures (upper teeth still intact) They like to snow you under with paperwork so you dont know what they are doing.. *update* The condescending response was hilarious!

Lynn Patterson I’ve recently moved to Eastern WA and I came to Dr Ferguson’s Dental Practice upon a referral from friends who are patients. From my first cleaning to the replacement of a crown the care was extraordinary. Katie was so gentle and caring and Stephanie had such a pleasant calming and professional way about her. They both walked me through every step of the crown replacement and it was a breeze. You could tell they both really enjoy the dental practice too. Dr Ferguson is an excellent Dentist and I’d recommend him over and over again.

Was willing to fill a small cavity on a tooth with preexisting fillings instead of pushing for a crown, which Ill eventually need. My wife and I go here and were planning to set up our daughters here as well.

B. Partridge Worst dentist I’ve ever been to. At his suggestion he redid an old filling, only to have to keep grinding it down to correct my bite. We did this three times, two weeks between each time, a month and a half I’m still in pain. Went to another dentist who recommended a root canal due to the shoddy work. Would not recommend this guy. The receptionist on the other hand is top notch!

Dr. Scarborough is the first dentist I have ever seen to truly have empathy for dental anxiety and takes his time to walk through procedures and not rush. He is never pushy about treatment and I feel listened to as a patient. I am so happy that I found their practice. They have made going to the dentist a positive experience for me.

black ribbonwar Teeth cleaning with Heather this week. Ive been with her 15 years! Heather has the touch, a special gift. I had very sensitive teeth when I first began seeing her. I needed nitrous for all dental procedures, even cleaning. Heathers a pro, so good at her profession, very gentle, yet thorough and effective. Gone are my days of putting off my cleaning, I havent needed nitrous gas at cleaning for many years now. All thanks to Heather and her talents!

Panda Panda Very good for people with dental anxiety!!! I cant thank all the staff at Northpointe enough. Had a dental emergency and had to adjust my dental plan they laid out and needed an root canal sooner rather than later. They were able to fit me in within a couple days. I also have some pretty severe dental anxiety and was already freaking out in the lobby a little bit. The front-desk person was very helpful and comforting and all the staff in the back were great. The doctor was very communicative and great. 10/10 would recommend for anyone who needs routine dental work and has anxiety/fears involving dentists.
