Holly Fritz My daughter and I have been going here for about three years now. I have been finding myself needing to book and putting it off longer and longer between appointments. I realized after my daughters last experience its not because I dont like their services or because I am trying to grow out my hair or something. I hesitate to book because their booking experience is *super stressful* because it doesnt matter who you book with and you can say on the website that you only want that person when it comes to the actual day about 50% of the time **they switch out your stylist without any warning**. You cant call and request a specific person because they dont have a receptionist and they never answer their phones. My daughter was very careful at her last appointment to book with her stylist while she was there and said she only wanted to see her. So when her next appointment came up she was sure that was supposed to be who it was. Unfortunately her stylist was sick and they called and asked if she could be seen by someone else and she said no I want to wait for her so they booked her about a week out when her normal stylist had an opening. She showed up and lo and behold her stylist was indeed there, but they had booked her with someone else. This has happened to both of us multiple times. (Not the stylist being sick, but the swapping out stylists without letting us know.) I hate getting my haircut - it makes me extremely anxious and Ive had a lot of very bad cuts. I was so happy to find them because I felt like they really listened and I liked a couple of my haircuts quite a bit! I just cant go back to some place that I cant trust to book with someone that Im building relationship with. Thats the entire reason I booked with a specific person. I felt comfortable with that person and I want to see that person again. I dont understand how if I book an appointment at the end of my appointment with my stylist how it could possibly get switched out by the time that next appointment rolls around. We both have check the online booking to make sure its set up for the correct person right up until the day of! It causes me too much worry. Im going to move on to look for somewhere new.

Lindsey Urton I have never wrote a bad review in my life but I don’t want another girl to go through what I went through. I went in the salon with ginger hair, I asked to go as light as possible and get a little trim. Tell me why I left with DARK BROWN HAIR and hair shorter than my shoulders. I thought I would try a new salon but I spent nearly $500!!! And ended up leaving SOBBING. I went back in to rebook and see if I could get it fixed, they did not offer a discount and yes I still tipped. They did not offer a discount to get it fixed just tried to explain to me that it was a miscommunication even though the hair I left with was nothing remotely what I had asked for. I called back multiple times that week to see if they would be able to make it right, they did not answer the phone as I believe they knew who was calling. The lady that did my hair did feel really bad, and I know she knew she messed up really bad. My hair is not super healthy so dying it many times was not an option. I understand that mistakes happen, I just don’t understand how I went in asking for blonder and I left with 3 shades darker then what I came in with. I’m writing this because still nothing has been done about this situation and I just can’t justify spending more money I ever have getting my hair done and leaving heartbroken. Like I came back in sobbing and they did nothing but tell me how it ended up looking this rough. I know the pictures aren’t great but I hope this helps. The first one is a reference.

Isabel Mocca What an amazing salon with the most welcoming and talented people! I had the pleasure of being Kaitlyns guest and every aspect of my visit was incredible. Starting the appointment with the wellness touch was very unique and I loved it. I felt listened to on what I wanted and that Kaitlyn was quick but also paid such close attention to detail, I knew my hair would be exactly what I wanted! It turned out so beautifully done. So overall, a wonderful experience and I will absolutely be coming back as a long term client while shes around!

Trish T Ashley is at the top of her game at her craft! Skillful and mindful of what you want done - she takes the time to listen, and offer recommendations. She takes notes of what services youve had done so shes up to date on your next visit. Most importantly, she is flexible and has accommodated me on a few occasions when my schedule changed. Of course communication goes a long way - so I always try to reach out in advance so we can come up with something that works for us both, but its much appreciated and why I continue to go back to her. Check her out if you havent - shell beautify you in ways no one else can!

Kelly Coop ★★★★★Don’t Miss This Stylist! I’ve had the most wonderful experience getting styled by Roshan at Evince Salon!! From the moment I met her, she helped me feel confident with a big decision to change my hairstyle and really listened to exactly what I had in mind. Her attention to detail and skills are top-notch—I walked out feeling amazing! Not only has she transformed my look, but my 10-year old son has also started seeing her and we both receive so many compliments on our hair. She is incredibly talented, patient, and great with both of us making every appointment enjoyable. On top of her amazing skills, Roshan is a joy to be around—warm, professional, and truly passionate about what she does. I highly recommend Roshan and Evince Salon to anyone looking for outstanding service. We always look forward to our next appointment with her!

Rhonda Kay Calkins I have been seeing Ashley Mills since February 2023, and all I can say is I wish I had met her years ago. Ashley has a tremendous skill set in hair care needs: Types of cuts, specialty hair care, coloring, even does nails. You cant tell by the pictures, but I have naturally thick and kind of wavy hair. She de-bulked my hair taking it to an entirely new level of awesome. I see her every 8 weeks and my color stays vibrant until the next visit. The products she uses Amika products.....game changer! Ashley provides high quality services and is seriously one of the sweetest people on the planet. She makes you feel welcome, loved and that you are important. I highly recommend Ashley Mills for any and all of your beauty needs!

Erika Schreiber Brooke Igarta is truly wonderful! My skin is so appreciative of her expertise. Her space is calming, serene, and my facial was a luxurious experience. I cant wait to book another facial and will be recommending her to all my friends and family. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to one of her magical facials!

Madi Ekholm Brooke Igarta gives the BEST, most relaxing facials! She asked me a few questions and gave me a great personalized facial based on my skins needs, I didn’t dare cover up my skin the rest of the day! Not to mention the post facial relaxation had me in a dream state. You NEED to see Brooke!

Rebecca Keiki-Marie Morris I have been getting my haircut here for a little while now. I just received a cancellation from The stylist at 3 o’clock for my 330 appointment that says this: Hello Rebecca this is Nicole from Urban Spa Salon. I hope you are doing well, I regret to inform you that I am closing my books this week which means I have to adjust my clients a bit. I can no longer take you on as a client due to limited space on my schedule… for me, this is just poor business. Let somebody know 30 minutes before their appointment that you are dropping them from your books??? They offered me a 5 o’clock appointment with somebody else today that is unknown to me. I’m already busy at five today as well. A call yesterday or last week, But 30 minutes before an Appointment?? I initially came to Nicole for the “Curly Girl” cut style, which she doesn’t do. The last cut I got from her also frizzed my bangs, an okay cut… I am glad that business isnt normally like this, and I still find myself w/out any resolve. I also wonder if there has been any update about how this happened, was I the only person? Still wondering

Stefanie Jolly By FAR the most comfortable place to get my hair done. I drive an hour south to Vancouver just to have Stacy do my hair! Its very laid back. Bonus she will schedule me late night as well and when your on a graveyard schedule it means the world to me. I have NEVER had any shop even offer to do that. Shes so patient especially when I have no idea what I want. Best of all she will even brainstorm with me and not make me feel rushed or like a burden. SHE IS AMAZING EVERYONE!! I will never go anywhere else, THANKS TO THE MOON STACY YOU ARE SIMPLY THE BESTEST!

Sheila Bleck Very experienced stylist. She fixed my layers ( old school shag) we did 3 colors and it came out beautiful. My hair is pretty and flirty. You need to meet Stacy I’m very happy

Taylor Finn Stacy does simply amazing work. Her workshop is a little bizarre at first, but it quickly grows on you. She is meticulous and professional, and I cant wait for my appointment this weekend! Keep in mind she works solo, so be forgiving of reschedules, her time is worth it!

Tina ODell I followed Paige to Pampered,and always LOVE what she does with my hair. Every time the color is spot on,and she walks me thru what products she is using. I have a really busy schedule and really appreciate that she does a cut /color and style in probably half the time most people take . Highly recommend checking her out !!!

Wendy Stitzel Cute salon but when using the restroom why is a leaking shampoo bowl not being addressed by someone in management?! Pile of wet towels and a caution wet floor sign. Tacky!

Kate Tran Hands down the absolute BEST Salon in Vancouver. My hair is Dark Brown and boxed dyed. Ive been to so many salons that say that they could not lighten my hair to the color I wanted or it wouldnt be possible. Every time I go to any other Salon my hair has turned orange even after multiple sessions. A friend recommended me to this Salon and Chelsea got my hair to the EXACT color of the Pinterest picture I showed her in ONE session. Not only that but without damaging my hair. Ive literally never been so happy with the results of my hair and at a salon and service was beyond expectations.

Perry Ozols I have been getting my hair cut by Sokphy for many years. She is always very nice, caring, professional and does an excellent job. Also, her salon is very clean, neat, comfortable and organized. I highly recommend Sokphy at A&P Beauty Salon.

Jamie Jong I’ve had my hair done by Shelbs a few times and I’m never disappointed! Even when I don’t know exactly what I want, she is patient, creative, and masterful in her execution. The whole shop is a fun and quirky vibe in the middle of the best block in Vancouver

Kate Folsom Lyndee did my makeup, and while she was super nice and I found the whole process really comfortable and relaxing, I wasnt all that pleased with the end result, which I didnt see until I was getting ready to leave. I was having my makeup done for my birthday party, just to feel pretty. Seeing myself from a distance I didnt notice but when I finally got the hand mirror I noticed that she had caked so much foundation on me that i looked 10 years older than I actually am. She did a great job on my eyes, and Im really happy with how those look, but I wiped off all of the foundation and contouring as soon as I got back to my car. Not only did I look older, the colors she chose made me look about three shades tanner than I actually am. My skin is naturally quite fair, and i dont want to change the actual color of my complexion. Especially when it cuts off halfway down my neck. Id honestly be open to trying this salon again, if I werent afraid that this not so good review would make them hate me forever. I would just really like to be matched with someone who knows how to deal with older skin next time. I came home and redid my foundation and I look a lot better.

Yzza Bacay I don’t normally leave reviews but I had my hair and make up done today and I cried at my car right after I left the studio. The staff were nice and very accommodating but I don’t feel beautiful and confident with the make up I had. This is my first time going to this salon studio. She curled my hair which is okay for me but the make up itself it’s a no. I showed her some inspo and agreed to a clean look type of make up and ended up doing it myself once I got home.

Lisa Niemeyer My daughter got married in February and I decided to treat myself. I had my hair and makeup done. These ladies are sooo much fun! I absolutely loved me hair and my makeup. I had sooo many compliments. They made my special day even more special. Thank you for turning this blah mom into a beautiful momma. Kassidy did my makeup and lashes. I forgot who did my hair. Maris Dedes Review for stylist, Juliana Fox. When I tell ya shes the best, I mean no other stylist compares! She took my brassy blonde to the gorgeous icy blonde that Ive always wanted! She has advanced techniques that blend highlighted hair flawlessly. Even the grow out looks perfect. Heres the biggest bonus... Shes a treasure of a person too. Talented with a wonderful heart! Make an appointment. You wont be disappointed!!!

Destiny Cavanaugh The team at Thairapy is nothing short of magical. My first appointment was with Morgan — a true artist when it comes to color and extensions, especially k-tip, that require even more patience and training then the other extensions I’ve had. After years of battling disappointing and even painful extension experiences, Morgan blew me away — not only exceeding my expectations but completely rewriting what I thought was possible for my hair. The owner, Lyndsay, has built a stunning salon and a dream team that makes every visit feel luxurious, welcoming, and full of life. If I could give more than five stars, I would. 11/10 — absolutely recommend!

Anna Hixon Jackey has been my stylist for nearly a decade - she always delivers a perfect cut and color! I have very thick hair and Jackey always spends as much time as needed to get the hair to lay just right. The salon is a very warm and comfortable space, with many friendly stylists, and Im always happy coming back again and again!

Adri Oliva Speechless! I have been to so many salons that I was giving up hope. Just finding one that could do a good job without messing up my hair. I have found them both, the owner and her right hand, named Alex. I recommend everyone to go in and ask for this talented person! No one’s like him!

Jamar Hardy Every time I come here, I always get the best service. I have not once been disappointed with any of my haircuts, and I have been coming for a little over a year. If you need a great haircut for a great price, I HIGHLY recommend this place.

Yoongi’s_Garden Such a nice place! Staff was extremely nice and friendly, and they gave me exactly the haircut I asked for! The price was extremely cheap as well, only $35 for a cut and undercut. I’m absolutely going back next time I need a cut!

Solace Shen DD is simply the best! I have been going to DD for color and cut since I moved to the area almost 2 years ago. She is skilled, knowledgeable, and truly cares and knows about my hair needs. She also really cares about me as a client in a whole person way. I always leave our appointment feeling good about my hair and the overall experience and look forward to our next appointment!

Kristin DeDona I have loved my hair ever since I started to see DeeDee for my haircut and color! She is so knowledgeable and gave me the perfect hair color my last visit when I was wanting to change my style. Love it!! I’m very confident and trust her expertise.

White Pearls What a disappointment! Spent $450 for a hair color job, only to discover the stylist couldn’t even handle a basic haircut. Not to mention, their website quotes a different price, and they slap on an additional $100 hourly charge. Total rip-off. I’d feel justified if the service matched the price, but alas, it’s just a scam.

I want to highly recommend the Julie Murphy Salon within the Sola Salon Studios located in East Vancouver on Mill Plain Blvd. Julie was recommended to me by a client who had gone to her for years. What a find! She’s a very talented stylist! My husband and I both have short curly hair. After he saw how well shaped my hair was he started having his hair cut by Julie also. It’s been a year of consistently great haircuts! We very much appreciate the quality of her art.

Leah Woodke I saw Lara about a week or so ago for a haircut and wow, what a great stylist. I love her energy, its clear off the bat that she has a passion for what she does and making people look and feel good! If you want a fun haircut experience with someone who will cut your hair just how you like, I highly recommend choosing her.

Alyssa N The concept is cool. I went in for a walk in and found someone was available by wondering the hallways. Ive never been there before so it was confusing and the first person that I saw that was available pressured me to sit with them, and I did not have a great experience with them. I wish there was a main desk touch point to talk with first before just wandering halls like a college dorm.

Sheila Tabor I recently sought out Mikes expertise after being impressed by all the reviews on his quality services. I have seen Mike three times so far (cut & color) and I am truly pleased. He has expertly delivered on my hair color requested, as well as my haircut. I appreciate the fact that Mike insures that he understands exactly what his clients want. I also like that he spends his time focusing on one client at a time. Mike provides high quality stylist skill at a fair price.

Rose Hart Ive been going to Mike for haircuts and color for several years and he is awesome! He is an expert on hair and provides great advice after I bring him hair ideas. He dyes my hair unusual and fun colors and weve tried a number of different color combinations over the years. The particular way that I wanted my dyed hair to look is challenging, but he does a stellar job every single time. I constantly get compliments on my dye job and its thanks to Mike! Plus I always enjoy catching up with him (and his adorable dog).

Mika LeVitt I thought I would never find another amazing hair stylist, and upon giving Mike the first try, I was hooked on his knowledge, his expertise as to what worked for my hair, along with what style works with my facial features. So now I have been getting my hair cut and styled by Mike, and I am so glad I made my first appointment with him, and I have no plans on going to any other hair stylist. I would TOTALLY recommend The Art of Hair to anyone, they will get more value out of any service that Mike has to offer, and his prices are, in my opinion, affordable as well. Sarah S Honestly, this was one of my favorite salon experiences. My friend referred me to her after raving about her for years. She recently went blonde and was just in love with her hair. She actually would leave the salon loving her hair, not having to wash it or wait a few weeks to love the color. Gab is so kind and knowledgeable. I love that you are the only client there and her attention to detail is impecable. She shows you everything along the way and talks about what you like and dont like. No surprises at the end. She definately knows what she is doing and her style of natural lived-in blonde fits perfect with what I wanted. Looking forward to the next service.

Malloryanne Leasure Love Gabrielle! For years I was going to new hair stylists every time I needed a haircut and could never find someone who I liked.. Which made me go way too long without haircuts (like once a year!). I started seeing Gabrielle almost a year ago and I am SO happy that I found her. Now I love getting my haircut. I feel so fresh and pretty after! I have very thick hair and SHE JUST GETS IT. Not only is she awesome at cutting hair, shes also the most down to earth person & an instant friend! I love her.
