5 /5 Reshma Kunjumon: I dont know where to begin describing Sunny and their work - professionalism, patience, thoughtfulness, insight, expertise, non-judging nature, incredible work process - you get the entire package in what you pay for. I have never had such a smooth or confident experience in a hair salon before. To give some context, I have been wanting a drastic pixie makeover for sometime on my medium length, thick, low porosity, wavy hair for easy maintenance. I have had 2 horrible experiences with very short haircuts in the distant past, so I was almost convinced that short hair doesnt suit me and totally dreading the move. When I talked to Sunny initially, the first thing I mentioned is that if their professional opinion is that short hair wont suit me, I wont go through with it. Here is where Sunny started weaving their magic. For the first half an hour, we sat discussing at length about my hair type, how it behaves on each day after the wash, my issues and concerns with hair, identifying my key requirements and understanding that effortless maintenance is my priority. From there we analysed my past photographs, reference photographs, explaining in detail each component that they were going to adapt from each of the references. Even before touching the scissors, Sunny was comprehensively demonstrating how they visualised my haircut, how each section would look and feel like, and taking notes from me regarding my opinions and satisfaction. This was collaboration at its peak perfection packed with tons of motivation and positive energy. For the first time in my life, I sat in that chair for another hour and a half, without a hint of a doubt for even a second about how it would turn out. And the face that looked back at me in the mirror at the end was exactly as Sunny had promised. The biggest takeaway I have from this experience is to never let any half cooked expert tell you that you dont look good in something. When the real specialist who has a brain beaming with creativity and knowledge and hands gifted with dexterity uses their talent on you, it would transform your life. Because now when I look at myself in the mirror, I see an exact reflection of my personality and I couldnt be more happy with it. I transformed from someone who hates getting their photo taken to someone who cant keep their eyes off the mirror. One of the foundational ideologies of Sunnys business is to transform their clients into the best version of themselves with confidence and self love. Sunny has delivered exactly as promised.
