3 /5 Michelle Baillie: I’m glad there’s a new nail salon in EH shopping centre because it might encourage the staff at NY nails to attempt some basic customer service skills. I come here occasionally, more for convenience than the service, but they are the rudest staff I’ve ever met. Aside from being a little rough, I have no complaints about the manicure.

I wanted to get my wedding nails done which i explained at start, but i was shouted at for not being to decide a shape, the lady with pink specs on asked me to “sit straight and think quickly “, i was shocked at the behaviour extremely rude and everytime they made fun of me and my sister’s baby who was cranky but a baby. I told her i didnt like the shape she did and she snapped at my hand and ripped them off and started doing agaIn. I felt so bad and disrespected. They speak in their language and laugh which is alright i cannot stop anyone from speaking their language but ppl around them do feel so disrespectful. She was so rude and the behaviour was disgusting. I paid $110 but got them removed next hour as they were that ugly. One not doing the job properly and second being so rude and insulting. Never ever coming back i live 3 minutes away but i rather drive 30 minutes to feel respected and get good nails done. Ridiculous!

2 /5 bellar amor: 2 stars because I tried my best to like this place. I would have been a frequent visitor if I liked it since I do my nails/pedicures quite regularly. But I simply can’t give more than 2 stars. Let me tell you my experience. I waited for over an hour to get a pedicure done with my hand nails cut and polished. But to make it even more fun, a lady who came after me got started before me. She apparently has come before and has left again to come back. But if I didn’t speak with her and didn’t know that, this would have been a 1 star review. Don’t get me wrong, the job was ok. Although I didn’t feel extremely special. I also didn’t get a leg massage that other places would normally offer. Also I saw they were laughing at some customers speaking in their own language. So I assumed everyone would get judged by them anyway… It is always icky but I can’t still find a place who doesn’t do it. I would have tolerated all that if the next part didn’t happen. After almost 2 hours sitting there, job was finished and then came the bill. It was $60 for shellac + pedicure and nail cut and shape with one layer of base coat. I took their leaflet and it says shellac with spa is only $35 and pedicure starts from $35. So did I get charged 1.5 times higher than their noted prices? Or is that the extra cost for the base coat? They put on one layer of base coat on my nails after cutting and shaping them. It is only $10 for cutting and shaping. So $60 - ($35+ $10) is $15. Did you just charge me $15 for a one layer of base coat? Unbelievable! I could have done it at home myself… Anyway, I feel disappointed and I feel betrayed. Will not be coming back even though I am a local. Just so dissatisfied that I’m writing this whole sitting in my car at the EH car park.

1 /5 Anastasia Katalina: They will take advantage of you and think you’re naive by skipping steps in the service you pay for. I came in asking for pedicure with acrylic on bigger toe since i just back from bali and they had messed it up. The lady told me it was going to be fine and that i didn’t need it. First of all the whole pedicure was in plain water, mind you i have been there many times i know exactly how things are meant to go. She had skipped a couple of things like the exfoliation of skin. I had noticed but didn’t say anything because i wasn’t going to say anything till the end since she may do it at the end. Then concluded it wasn’t going to happen maybe she forgot. So i didn’t mention anything since i didn’t want to be that person. My nails are done and i notice they are really bumpy, i had told the lady and she said she will fix it. Ok i wait, she filed my nails shorter , says done again. I again told her she did not fix it, she filed my nails shorter when throughout the service i had asked her not to and i also asked for them to be straight and not to round them yet she did it. I had asked multiple times. That isn’t fair. She has now told the other lady to come over and i explained to her the issue , she said it will take one minute to fix, i wait two and said i need to go because i have somewhere to be. I didn’t have time. This was honestly the worst experience ever. I have been there before, multiple times, and because i am young they had taken advantage of me and didn’t want to give me more of a $5 discount.
