5 /5 Leon B: Had an awesome day out at Melbourne zoo. Great place for the family! Managed to get round in 5 hours but even then we thought we moved fast. Would definitely recommend a two day visit if you want to read everything and enjoy it. Looking at getting the pass and also doing the camping under the stars! Will be back!

4 /5 Jonah Gigbug: A great selection of animals and well-designed exhibits, a lot of attention into giving guests s good chance to see the animals, many of the burrows and such had windows to view the animals even when they’re sleeping. The open lemur enclosure is fantastic, you can see them right up close (but please do still keep your distance). Got a great look at the tiger, though it seemed quite agitated, it was pacing around by two of the windows to its exhibit and growling where people were crowding around, could do with some sort of one way glass perhaps. The signs for animals were also not super informative, and the cycling electronic signs in the reptile house were not a great idea.

5 /5 Mellifera Moo: Our second visit was last week. This is by far our favourite zoo. The enclosures are catering for the animals, which is just how it should be. Makes me sad people are leaving bad reviews just because they couldn’t see certain animals. Yes it’s disappointing, but it’s not about us. Having enclosures where the animals can retreat from us is giving them respect. To suggest animals were drugged is ridiculous. We loved the butterfly house, Lemur Island, the various primate enclosures and seeing Miska up close. The staff members we spoke with are all dedicated to their work and show a clear love for what they do. We will be back next time we’re in Melbourne ❤️

5 /5 Angel De Joya: Love the layout of the zoo! So easy to get around. Enough places to eat, sit down, plenty of bathrooms around as well. Very children friendly! There was a Carousel and face painting which are great for the little ones.

5 /5 Karolina Warciak: We had the best day at the zoo! Visited on a weekday after school holidays so it was not very busy. We really loved the Koala & Lemur experience - would highly recommend it.
