5 /5 Molly K: Went for a high tea with my family for my birthday. The food was amazing, and definitely worth the money. They catered for gluten free and no onion and garlic and did not feel like it was a problem for them too. Both me and my mum that are GF, were so impressed with the food and my other family member who had regular menu was also so impressed. The service was lovely. Just a cute restaurant and not too loud. And they even gave me a card. Thank you! Can’t wait to go again!

4 /5 Jacinta Bradshaw: This place definitely has potential and my Husband and I both enjoyed our experience.Customer service is very good and the waiters were attentive and happy to help. The restaurant itself looks great very nice to see that a lot of the architecture has stayed how it is. The pictures, paintings and fire place was a nice touch. What I would suggest would be to remove the fairy lights as it takes away from the atmosphere) and add some renaissance music ( there would be a Spotify playlist I am sure) at least for the dinner service which I feel will make the whole experience that much better. I was very impressed to see mead on the menu which was a staple back in the day, it was fantastic but I would recommend rather than having it in spirit place it with the beers and ciders so it is a bit more recognisable. The food I feel was good but did need a bit of work. I am aware times are tough so I can understand a few things however here are a few considerations.We ordered the cob bread to start. The presentation was awesome (gave both my husband and I a laugh) The bread and dukkah was fantastic however the whipped butter was a sachet you would get at a continental breakfast which was a bit of a shame ( even putting it in a seperate dish would be great). My husband got the stew in a bread bowl which was once again presented very well. The flavours were fantastic however definitely needed a bit more sauce as the bread soaked up quite a bit so ended up being quite dry . The meat was tender however so it made up for some of the dryness.I got the roast of the day which was pork. The presentation was lacking here unfortunately but the vegetables were amazing, in particular the pumpkin and carrots were cooked perfectly.They did skim on the meat a bit however I put that down to the recession and the Yorkshire pudding was a bit eggy for my liking and slightly overcooked . Once again really needed a bit more sauce in particular gravy and perhaps an option when ordering if we wanted apple sauce ( not a biggy for me but realised that this may cause issues for others). Overall a solid meal but does need work in a few areas. I hope these recommendations do not come off as rude and I hope they do take these into consideration.

5 /5 Bart: Loved the food and atmosphere of king Henry. If your looking for a cosy restaurant up in the Dandenong ranges i deffently recommend try out King Henrys restaurant. Service is top notch too.

3 /5 Brian Loye: Had a 2:30pm booking for Sunday and upon arrival no table was ready. The waitress gave a used table a quick wipe down but left used cutlery and napkin on it and left after asking us to sit. We ordered 2 Devonshire teas and the scones arrived but then it took 20 minutes for the tea to arrive after having to ask where it was. Then had to ask for teaspoons as they werent provided. Overall the dish was great but sadly the service was appalling. Table next to us suffered even more. Seated for more than an hour while we were there, their order was the same as ours but they only received 1 serve of Devonshire tea and the second took 45mins. In all that time they never received their included drinks after asking 3 times. Finally as we left they got them. No apology ever left any of the staffs mouths during this whole fiasco. Clearly there is no front of house management happening or proper training of staff members. Such a shame for a great place.
