David Billiet Belinda and her team at Belmar Conveyancing came highly recommended and they did not disappoint. From the initial phone call to settlement, they were friendly, professional, competent, and reassuring. The house sold within eight days with a 30 day settlement. It settled while my wife and I were holidaying overseas, often without reliable telephone or internet coverage. Settlement was delayed by two days due to issues with the purchaser’s application. Belmar reassured us that settlement was still on-track and they kept us informed at all times until the property was settled. I would be very comfortable recommending Belmar Conveyancing.

Max Gershkovich Weve used Belmar in a contract which we eventually withdrew from, a stressful experience. We found Belmar service to be extremely competent knowledgeable and professional.

Russell Van Bert Go anywhere else. I found them to be incompetent. Their communication was also really poor. I had to drive all my communications with them. They messed up the calculations multiple times. The first time was bad enough, then, when an adjustment came through from the bank, they used original values to recalculate incorrect amounts. They didn’t check to see whether the adjustment looked correct and made sense. After I recalculated the amounts for them, the person handling my case chose to delegate communications to me. There was no follow up and personal accountability. When the final signatures were required with less than an hour before settlement, nobody communicated to me that things were ready to go. Just awful. — update to your response — It seems you’re not aware of what actually happened on the day of settlement. It’s not surprising given that your staff do not communicate. No, I’m not referring to the upfront payment. That was resolved two days earlier when I noticed you had included the amount in the disbursement. There were many other problems as well. My issue for the day of settlement was due to your inability to calculate the change caused by the bank adjustment. An increase of roughly $100 in the final amount meant that each recipient should receive more than they were due to receive from the previous calculations. That should be pretty obvious. Instead, your staff calculated that I should receive about $500 less and the other recipient receive about $600 more. Anyone reviewing these new figures should have seen there was a problem, but not Belmar Conveyancing. When you were made aware of the error, you asked the other party’s lawyer to confirm the figures. Not very professional. I calculated them for you. The reason there were so many emails on the day of settlement was not due to you being informative. It was because that many emails were required to clear up the mess you created. And surely one more email to say everyone had signed and things were ready to settle wouldn’t have been too much to ask? No wonder the other party was happy with you, I would be pretty happy too if you calculated I should receive $600 from a $100 adjustment. Maybe you should take responsibility for the problems and aim to fix your communication and record keeping.

Amy Tainton Dionn was absolutely terrible and incompetent with my dealings of the sale and purchase of my recent properties. I wouldn’t even give him one star….. His ability to complete transactions was a disaster and almost caused settlement to fall over at the last minute after many hours of delay. He didn’t take my phone calls on the day of settlement during this time and failed to provide solicitors appropriate documentation. This then led to running up a huge legal bill following settlement in the following week to sort out the dispersement of funds. We will be putting in a formal complaint and both parties are extremely unhappy. He acted very unprofessional and caused an extreme amount of stress to all parties involved including both solicitors. I am personally very disappointed and would never recommend this person to anyone!!!!
