1 /5 amy m: I had a truly disappointing experience with this company during the purchase of my first property. The process was full of issues from the start, and after settlement, the problems only worsened.
From the outset, response times were subpar at best. However, my biggest grievance came after the settlement was completed when I was blindsided by unexpected body corporate arrears that I had no knowledge of prior to finalizing the purchase. To make matters worse, I was informed that the notice of acquisition was never even submitted, which left me in a very difficult situation.
After my initial email, I received a quick response advising they would look into the issue, but things quickly went downhill from there. To date I have sent six follow-up emails with no replies, and when I contacted the office, I was informed the person handling my case no longer worked there. I was told the issue would be escalated to the director, but did not hear anything back.
It has now been 9 weeks since I first brought this matter to their attention, and I still have no idea what the actual error was. Every time I call the office, I’m told the person I need to speak to is out and that they will call me back. But, unsurprisingly, no one ever does. Instead, my calls are passed off to a secondary phone answering service that can only take messages. I’ve had no resolution, no communication, and no apology for the ongoing delay.
This experience has been nothing short of frustrating, unprofessional, and incredibly stressful. It’s deeply disappointing to deal with such poor customer service, especially when handling such an important matter like a property purchase. I would strongly advise anyone looking for reliable, efficient, and communicative conveyancing services to avoid this company at all costs.
UPDATE: After almost 4 months, I still have not received any assistance in rectifying the issue. The only communication I have received is a phone call from the original person handling my case that is no longer with the company to say that they had spoken to Right Choice and they would only be willing to assist if I remove my review.
