Top Rated 15 University in Lubbock, TX - A Smart Choice for the Future part 2

Shailesh Patel As an international student at Texas Tech University, I feel compelled to share my honest experience. Unfortunately, my time here has been disappointing, and I would not recommend this university to prospective students—especially those coming from abroad. I have found that the support systems for international students are lacking, and I have experienced significant challenges that made me question the value of the education relative to the cost. Moreover, I’ve observed instances of discrimination that made the environment feel unwelcoming. Considering the financial and emotional investment required to study abroad, I advise future students to carefully reconsider before choosing Texas Tech University.

Nicholas Gangloff Texas Tech was on our list of Texas Universities to visit in Texas, and I was quite surprised how nice of a campus it was. Driving out to Lubbock, it seems like the place is going to be dead. But the school has a really nice layout, lots of sculptures, and nice open air. The only complaint is that the Texas heat can be overbearing, but its easy to hop around from building to building. The best summarized feeling of Texas Tech is half A&M and half SMU in terms of design and layout.

Jonathon Miller Great game but they did nothing about masks as I felt like I was the only one at the game wearing a mask and they also completely got rid of capacity stuff. Even if that’s not a law anymore, it clearly is not safe. They also didn’t screen me for Covid as a student. 2 stars off for safety reasons. That being said, I love supporting the baseball team and BY NO MEANS NECESSARY do I have grudges against them. WRECK EM TECH!!! Guns up

Travis L McIntire Excellent Facility but only has 9 ADA parking spots. The VIP Baseball lot was only half full yet they denied access to ADA parking because those nine spots were full. Thats unacceptable.

Sean Langworthy This is a great collegiate baseball field. The general admission seating had great views all around. Bathrooms and concessions are top- notch too.

Greg Anthony Mendoza Extremely modern and top of the line facilities with new RCOBA building/expansion during my undergraduate years 2012-2016. Having had family attend business schools and classes at Mays and McCombs I can say without question Rawls competes very well with both in terms of faculty and content immersion. Excellent industry leaders (Free Market Institute staff) and great feedback from classmates makes every class at Rawls exciting and groundbreaking! Only criticism stems from other students on campus who misinterpret RCOBA investments as superior to theirs but little did they know how bad the facilities were prior to 2012!!! Guns up!

Jamel C. Fantastic space for connecting and learning. Rawls has many lounges and other spaces to sit and relax. If youre like me and prefer a cozy spot, grab a drink from Einstein Bros and then look for a seat on the lower level. Visit the 3rd floor of the building and get to know the amazing Rawls faculty and graduate students.

Travis All of the professors are experts and leaders in business, dedicated to their students, and passionate about the subjects they teach. The Jerry S. Rawls College of Business Administration at Texas Tech University is a nationally renowned, top-tier business school with a perpetual upward trajectory and excellent businss finance, accounting, energy commerce, management, marketing, real estate, and I.T. degree plans. This is one of my favorite places on Earth.

dat red raider large campus building that houses about a hundred classrooms, one of the bigger auditoriums in MCOM 281, neat spaces like the PR outpost / think tank rooms & the daily toreador.

Micro My Blood Awesome ambience, great interior deco, good studying environment, located in the heart of the TTU campus, aesthetically appealing building design, one of the most popular places on TTU campus.

Abel Mata Havent been here in 10 years. This building is incredible. Free games awesome lounging area. At least my money was well spent!!!!!

Gb Very rude. Employees werent able to talk for themselves and put me on hold 20 times to ask what to say back to me because they couldnt answer simple questions. Unprofessional and unaccomadating.

Erin Donna Graham TTU Student Housing is one of the best departments on campus. They are very informative and nice about pricing, what best suits your needs, and more. Walk-ins for information and tours are great.

Ahimel Meza Very rude. If you need to talk about housing theyre just gonna send you back to your residence hall to talk to someone from there even if you already talked to them about it. They wont help you at all unless youre moving into a suite style more expensive room.

Johnnie Boy Great place to study on campus. They have a few lounge areas on different levels of the building and this building is way less noisy compared to the Tech library. The doors automatically lock themselves at 5pm on the week days, otherwise this is a great place to get some serious study time in ( both grad and undergrad study time).

Jeff McPherson Senior Matt provided an outstanding overview of the School of Engineering and is an fantastic representative of Texas Tech University.

Matthew Holloway Got a 4 year degree hear in 2 and 1/2 years with the help of supportive staff and great profs. Not the "college experience" but if you arent in college to party, its a great place to study and learn with great people.

NorceCodine Third tier ambulance chaser law school, its real purpose is that Texas Tech students have a place to go and UT Austin wont have to bother with their application. faculty doesnt have a clue from the law, they even said that the recently passed sanctuary city ordinance of Lubbock will not hold up in court. Yeah, like we need legal advice from a bottom ranked law school whose faculty spends the weekends boozing in Tech Terrace.

MrRJMGREEN Small, little, tiny college. They actually have time to send E mails out telling us of the pool all day days, the films in the Sundown room, and the activities. It is a cute little campus, but I will be glad to graduate.and move on.

Kattieperry Valdez Im also going to go there after I graduate in 2027, but I dont know if I will receive services for my learning/developmental disability. Im scared that I might not be able to understand a lot of things, sadly I dont get to choose to go to the VTC anymore, I should have picked it, because my case lady probably wont let me. But I just hope they have a Special Education here, that will adapt to my unique needs because Ive been looking into this place, wondering if they even had a Special Ed at all over here.

Charles Crews Counselor Education Program offers Masters degrees in School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling as well as a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Counselor Education and Supervision. All programs are accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).
