Vintage Church - Harker Heights (TX)

5 /5 Anslie Brooke: My husband, daughter and I have attended this church for about a month now and I can say that it is a fantastic church. Grounded in TRUE principals and focused on the word of God and not the “sugar coated” church experience I’ve known forever. I’m actually LEARNING the Bible and finally understanding what I’m reading. This morning I took a step in faith and talked with Pastor Stephen. He was so intentional in the conversation and immediately got me plugged in on ways to be more involved. I’ve been looking for a purpose outside of motherhood and praying for so long and this may be an answered prayer. Thank you Pastor Stephen!!

1 /5 Corey Driver: I attended this church hoping for a meaningful message, but unfortunately, it felt more like a political rally than a place of worship. The focus on personal political views—particularly elevating Trump to an almost savior-like status—overshadowed the true purpose of faith. If politics are going to be central, why not present both sides fairly? Additionally, I was deeply unsettled by the level of control over members’ personal lives, the “friend” who invited me has cut off her family members(daughter and father) as well as pulled her kids out of public school as she says as part of a faithful journey. Faith should unite, not divide. This was simply not the church for me.

5 /5 Tyler Hogue: My wife, 4 children, and I have attended here for almost 5 years now! Vintage has a wonderful child care program from 6 weeks to 5th grade; and an awesome student ministry for older kids! Vintage saved my worldly life, my marriage, my relationship to my children, and my eternal destination. Pastor Stephen has such a fire inside him, to equip us to fight the spiritual warfare we see daily here in Killeen, Bell County, Texas, and the United States.

5 /5 Shanti Farrington: We attended Vintage Church for the very first time yesterday morning, and as soon as we approached to the parking lot, there were people welcoming us. We felt warmth and a genuine welcome. We love the service, we love the pastor preaching more importantly we felt the Holy Spirit. I strongly believe God has a great plans for this Church, his children. For my family and I, as long as we live in this area, Vintage Will be our Church. We are beyond grateful we found this Church.

1 /5 BJ Harmel: We have attended this church a few times because we really wanted a place where we felt welcomed and like we belonged(and it was close-by). We wanted to feel closer to God and hear about how we can serve him while being better Christians and be better people towards one another. We wanted a church where we could attend and count on and lean on if we needed to. What we found felt like a politically infused rally that was negative towards a certain political affiliation(left), while glorifying a presidential candidate and a party he pretends to care about. It felt careless, reckless and certainly unChristian-like. We did NOT feel welcomed at all. We started attending the church during election season and noticed the political message was very heavy and the pastor demonized one side while glorifying another. This is not how it is supposed to be. What happened to preaching the word of the Bible and giving us a message that would give us hope and direction on how to be better Christians? You will not find this here. If you are wanting to find a church with a positive and hopeful message and atmosphere where it feels like God loves us all, then this is not your church. Today was over the top and far from feeling like church as I have ever experienced. They had a guest speaker who was preceded with a very political video. When the video was over he came out very normal and energetic. Then he turned very loud and with political rhetoric. Now the regular "message" was not subtle anymore. It was not hiding with a careful delivery. He was yelling and driving home a very political message. I was not the only one to walk out during this hate speech. This is not a normal church by any means. It is a place where you will go if you are more into politics than following Jesus.
