4 /5 Henry Shockem: Hi I have been looking for an email so this could be a private comment, but cant find one. So here it is anyways. I have been absent from services for a few years, but St. Josephs is where I go to church since the mid 1960s. I went to school there and had my first Communion there.
I went to mass on Ash Wendsday and was horrified to see that Halloween wig on the Christ Jesus behind the altar. I know the church has changed somewhat recently. The mass isnt the same as I remember. Some of the responses seemed to have changed and the hand shaking when we say "Peace be with you" . Covid, I get that. But that horrible wig makes Jesus look like Tina Turner! I did not know whether I should laugh, or cry. I was very dissapointed and appalled. In my opinion for the record, Please take that wig off the Jesus. That was a beautiful sculpture the way it was. There is an old saying. "If it aint broke, dont fix it".
