Sure, it feels good in the moment—but there’s a deeper issue beneath the surface that shouldn’t be ignored. Despite leadership’s repeated claims that there were no cliques, my experience as someone who served there for several years told a different story. The culture often contradicted the message being preached. That disconnect is hard to overlook. To be clear, there *are* good people at Shoreline. But if you’re seeking a church that will truly challenge you in your spiritual walk and keep you grounded in biblical truths, you may want to look beyond feel-good sermons and motivational soundbites. Find a Bible-teaching church that prioritizes growth in the Word over emotional comfort.

5 /5 N. Simms: My niece invited me to church last night because she was getting baptized. The baptisms were exciting and celebratory, like college graduations, which I believe is appropriate for such an occasion. I have not visited a church physically in years due to my spiritual beliefs, but I had a wonderful, uplifting experience here. I enjoyed seeing many young people from different backgrounds and races celebrating and worshipping. It demonstrated what our world could be if we all came together despite our differences. My niece comes from a very challenging background, so seeing her excited about her life and strengthening her relationship with Christ is a beautiful testament to what is happening here. As for the negative reviews, its impossible to please everyone, and everything is not for everyone. Many of the negative comments I read about this church seem extremely judgmental and misaligned with a focus on what people should/shouldnt do, which often drives people away from the true gospel of Christ. There is a freedom in Christ that allows us to be free from fear, failure, mans judgment, and our past mistakes. This pastor is doing great work in the community and has gotten young people excited to live a life aligned in Christ.
