Justin Bailey Discovered Century Automotive after moving to Austin several years ago, and am grateful I did. Travis is great to work with - personable, upfront, and informative. They’re not going to recommend any work they don’t think is necessary, and the work they do perform will be of high quality and done in a timely manner. I’d recommend calling ahead to get on their calendar though, as they do stay extremely busy. Can’t recommend them enough.

They were professional, friendly, and got me in quickly. The work was done efficiently and at a fair price. Milton Corven This place is hands-down one of the best shops I’ve been to. The staff is knowledgeable, honest, and really takes the time to explain what’s going on with your vehicle. They specialize in BMWs and Minis, and it shows they know these cars inside and out. I felt confident leaving my car in their hands, and the work was done right the first time. Highly recommended for anyone looking for expert European auto care!

Rudy Uribe Hadn’t needed to use them in years but when I needed a Master ASE certified tech to inspect my Shelby Cobra Roadster, they were the only shop I could find within a 20 mile radius with techs whose certifications werent expired. Got in and out quickly. Always professional and polite. Thanks Curtis and crew!

John Roger Wood This has been my car maintenance shop for many years. This is not a huge operation with lots of expensive overhead. Hank, the owner, always greets me when I come in and we discuss what work needs to be done. After the shop gets started with my car, Hank always calls me to re confirm what will be done, including options and cost estimates. When the work is complete, Hank goes over what was done and answers my questions. The work is always done in a timely fashion, with no big surprises. Ive always been satisfied with the work. The whole operation is very organized, clean and professional. Dealing directly with the owner is reassuring, knowing everything will done to my satisfaction.

Matthew Lipstein Took my Honda Pilot to Capital City from the recommendation of two friends who both bring their cars there. Had a great experience from start to finish! We were doing a routine timing belt kit replacement. Getting the initial info and quote was clear and direct, and handled in one phone call. The price was reasonable, not rock bottom, but it feels like this business has integrity in doing good work and that is part of what you pay for. Thats value in itself to me. They finished the car on time and for the price we agreed upon - no surprises. Will definitely bring our cars back!

Sydney Nice Honest, efficient, and very knowledgeable. Bought my car about 2 months ago and unknowingly had some AC issues and a dying battery. They taught me the best way to take care of my new car, fixed all issues and returned my car in 4 days for a fair price. Appreciate them a lot ! (2019 Volvo XC60 for reference)

Raja Tamma Ive been using Maxs shop for many years to get my cars serviced and repaired. Very honest, excellent and affordable mechanic. Few shops will match the value he provides. The shop is cluttered and there is no receptionist to greet or answer the phone and its true that calls go unanswered as another reviewer said. If you drive to the shop hoping to catch his ear, he might tersely tell you to come another day. He doesnt mean to be curt but the man doesnt have time to shake your hand, exchange greetings, send you to a service advisor for an appointment and then charge an arm and a leg. Dont expect any frills if you go to him. This is the first time I am leaving a review for Max and hes been my first choice for more than a decade. If hes not able to do whats needed, he will tell you upfront. No gimmicks. Its hard to find a mechanic as honest as Max.

Emmett Wesolowski One of the coolest places in Austin. The owner is an old school car guy too, incredible energy in the place. Great for people passionate and knowledgeable about cars and wrenching. If you don’t know much, bring a friend who does because this is the real deal. So expect to be treated and respected as an adult. This is the exact type of place the car community needs. Very good rates and nice lifts too.
