Danielle Hyer Ive had so many awful experiences with pediatricians that I was becoming skeptical. However weve been seeing Dr. Smith and hes fantastic with my 21 month old. I couldnt be happier with him and his staff! Every pediatric clinic was on a 3-6 month wait for new patients but I was able to get in almost immediately with them.

John Simon First off, Dr. Smith is in a building that offers free valet parking. This is a big plus. Everyone at the practice was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. I interacted with at least five different people over an hour and a half and all of them were courteous and seemed interested in doing whatever they could to ensure I was comfortable and understood what was happening. Dr. Smith was on time, very friendly and put me at ease immediately. He gave the impression of being confident and knowledgeable, and I felt very comfortable in his care.

The patient care I receive is very good, and the only reason I would leave their care is if I would move out of the area. I say, “Thank you” to everyone who works at UT HEALTH NORTH, for giving excellent Patient Care.” Yvonne Smith-Dorsey

Noelle Twombly My husband and I have been going to UT Tyler for many years and this is an excellent place to find a doctor. These doctors are finishing up their residency there at so you can establish care with any one of the newer residents for up to three years. All of the resident doctors we have had are very knowledgeable, compassionate, easy to relate to, and just know their stuff. Dont let the term "resident doctor" keep you from trying them out. They are stellar! Highly recommend!

jamie henderson I was in the er on December 26th 2024 for horrific right side abdominal pain. Nurses refused to listen to my husband and I on about how my veins blow. Even though through the years from er visits to surgeries they have always had to use a ultra sound machine to find my veins. Instead two different nurses tried to find my veins to put in an IV saying themselves they cant find a vein and still refused to find someone who could use the ultra sound machine. So I was sent home without a CT scan done still in horrific right abdominal pain. One of the nurses Rachel even snapped her glove in my husbands face as she was walking out the door. Very un professional and disrespectful. I would not recommend this er to anyone. If I could I would give them a negative zero on stars

Kellen Reilly McFarland I’m not sure why writing bad reviews on Google is the only effective way to medically advocate for myself here. You would think you’d be able to simply make an appointment and be seen if you’ve been going to this place for over 2 years. Yet somehow, 2 years is not enough time to establish stable, consistent care. Cancelling one appointment and pushing it back a little bit would be fine. However my appointment kept getting pushed back and I was never notified. Why my appointment would be pushed back when I requested an earlier one, I’ll probably never know. The people who took my information and “will get back to me soon” are just as incompetent and lazy as the person who hung up on me when I was calling to ask why my appointment was pushed back another month with no notification. No explanation, no response, no apology. It’s been two weeks since my information was taken. Absolutely ridiculous Edit: it’s been well over two weeks. I’ve tried emailing several times asking why no one has contacted me yet. Still no response. Edit #2: it’s been three weeks now and I just received an email stating “we don’t know what happened.” I’m not surprised in the slightest that UT Health was quick to cancel my appointments and treat me like garbage when I tried to call to ask what happened, yet when a complaint is brought to their attention it takes at least three weeks for a single email. There’s no reason for this. Do better UT Health. Edit #3: I was called by the office to cancel another appointment. Not to discuss why my appointments keep getting cancelled or why I was never notified. It’s been four weeks since I was told “someone will call me shortly” about the godawful way I continue to be treated by UT Health. I told the person on the phone to not cancel my appointment several times until someone discusses this issue with me but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was cancelled anyway.

Robert Buess As for the hospital, I found the experience to be good overall (I am not personally a fan of going to the hospital). The staff especially the nurses were fantastic, my only negative would be the Dr. he is not someone that I will be using again, but that isnt what youre asking me to review. Overall hospital experience for being in a small town was very good.

Sandy Sudderth Everyone was extremely professional and did their best to make me comfortable while attending to my needs. This is from my first encounter with emergency room personnel, the nurses on the floor, all tests administered, the Dr assigned and Carmen from the kitchen staff who made sure I was feed well after a couple of hiccups in the beginning. By the way, the food was also excellent. Although, I hope I never have to be admitted again I know this is a great group who take their responsibilities seriously.

Grump Texas CHRISTUS Health WOW just needed some help from these people, and this GASTROLOGY clinic of Mother Frances could NOT take a ONE page copy via email or fax, print it to hand to my elderly parent! They said NO CANT do it; even though she is one of their patients! They will take your MONEY real fast, but not do one little thing to assist someone! IF, my parents didnt insist on using these people I would NOT!

John Valentine Update: I just got off the phone with an amazing young woman named Hannah who actually is The Patient Advocate. She was extremely pleasant and you could hear the compassion she legitimately has for patients. Im updating my formerly 2 star rating to a solid 4, due to Hannahs highly professional attitude. I am leaving what I previously wrote, but will adjust certain parts because of the Patient Advocate. I hate leaving negative reviews, but this is a combination of good and bad. I recently went to Christus Mother Francis emergency room to seek pain relief for my back, and got basically nothing but resistance. When I sought out to speak to their Patient advocate, I was instead given the run around, and told that they "dont have a patient advocate" (but yet I talked to one today). At this point, I was now upset and kindly asked the receptionist if "I called about 30 or 40 veterans to come down and help me advocate for myself, would someone in charge come out then. At this point the arrival of 2 armed security personnel showed up. The Sergeant who was very easy going, and extremely professional sat down with me and told me that the nurse in charge wanted to talk to me, to help find me a suitable outcome of my back pain and the frustration I was feeling. Unfortunately, that never happened. I was told she was speaking to another patient and by this time I was in severe pain and told the front desk receptionist that I was going to the ER and to please have the head nurse see me over there. A total of three different security officers (all of them very kind), assured me that my health was of the most importance to the hospital and that if I had anymore problems please let them know. Finally after waiting a while (the ER was completely full, as was the rooms in the back), I was brought back to a triage spot with a really cool nurse, but instead of just one doctor coming to talk to me, he was accompanied by 3 other people. None of them told me who they were and why they were in the room. One was the doctor, the other was the nurse, but as far as the other 3 people I had no clue who they were. It was almost like they were trying to intimidate me with a show of force. The doctor at first came off as pretty cocky. As we started to discuss what was going on with my back and had told him that the previous ER doctor hadnt even asked if maybe some type of trauma happened to my back (I was wearing my Purple Heart shirt, and told him I was a medically retired Master Sergeant for service in the Army) so youd think the doctor would have caught that and ask if Id been injured or did something, that had exacerbated my current back pain). The new doctor stated it wasnt customarily practice to investigate previous injuries of a patient, which no offense but arent they supposed to gather additional facts besides just X-Rays and CAT Scans. How this place calls itself an ER Department is beyond me. Theyre extremely rude and show no sympathy when it comes to handling a patient with pain, the funny thing is that in their pamphlet, on the first passage it states that patients are to expect proper pain management, needless to say they failed. Finally the Doctor and I had talked alone and he recommended some things to do and certain professional doctors that I should follow up with. In the end that ER doctor was immensely helpful to me and Im happy that I had him instead of the previous ER doctor. I strongly urge all patients to investigate and due their due diligence of ensuring this emergency department is the right one for you. Now I will say I had to be admitted here back in October for my gallbladder to be taken out, and everyone of the nurses and Surgeons are 5 star all the way. The hospital is great, but the ER department doctors need a lot of work, especially in the treatment of patients.

Speaks to your education level but has no problem giving it to you barney style if a term eludes you. I hope I never visit a doc other than a check up but if I do it will be Dr Sloan

He’s taken really good care of all my health needs and believe me, I was a mess when I first went to see him. Now my medical health is excellent and squared away. Thank you Doctor!

Ken M These people that work here are liers and thieves. Julie Roat is bad about calling adult protective services on you and filing a claim. My mom was still admitted in the hospital and was unable tomake the follow up appointment that they scheduled without us knowing about it. Then they also reported to APS that my mom had missed 12 appointments? Dont use these people find another clinic. They are only about the money not the patient.

Daniel Moiser David Hardy Was an absolutely great. Medical provider. I would still have him, if UT health wouldnt have purposely waited till he was on his own practice 90 days after he left U.T. The office employee called me to tell me after he had left u.T that he started his own practice and I asked. Why didnt you let me know so I could follow him to his practice. This will Surprise you in her response. She told him he u t was worried about all the patients going with him as he left. I have scoliosis and other serious medical illnesses. And now I was not able to get David Hardy because of the 90 days that I didnt know he had his own practice. There is no available spots. Also, they forgot to fill my medications. And I had withdrawals from some of my notifications. And it was horrible. They do not care about you.You are just a paycheck!!! I had david hardy 4 years!! He was a wonderful nurse practitioner. But u t health is an ongoing horrible medical facility. Please use Christus health system It is a completely night and difference. They actually care and youre not just a piece of paper at their system. I lost medicaid for sixty days because they would not fill out the paperwork stating my disability. So I had to make an appointment to go in to get them to fill out the paperwork because no one would take it off the fax machine to give us a david hardy the Doctor for 2 months. Office managers do not call you back. You never get any true help through the phone or through the app. Help this help someone. You can get David Hardy.Hes in white house and hes a really good nervous practitioner.

Chayton (Prsnl Gmail) Im editing this because of the reply. Ive had issues getting appointments and dealing with insurance denying and having to go back and forth between PCP and Walgreens for getting the same medicine. I know thats kinda how it is but what really helped is: -Theyre recovering from post pandemic wait times/getting in is faster now -physician is working with insurance to really help me get affordable medicine now -the new reception staff is more accommodating All in all, deserving of 5 stars if it continues like this for a year

Betty Wilson I went to the main emergency room on gentry for a cold. The main hospital took forever then gave me the wrong medicine because it interacts with epileptic seizures. I walked in at this clinic to get looked at again and was looking for a primary care Dr. I was being checked out within 30minutes. Got the proper care needed with the correct medication the cold was knocked out within a couple of days. Very polite and friendly ppl And had me set up with a follow up within 2 weeks.

Roman John Worst urgent care I have ever encountered. Nurses treat patients horribly. Girlfriend went after a car accident and was left at and told nothing was wrong. She told them her feet were numb since the wreck and they said your fine just go home. She received later test proving she had spinal damage and other issues. Gave her so much fentanyl she could not walk and then laughed at her for “not handling her shit”. Nursers wear AirPods at all times when talking to you.. I have heard similar from others. Do not go.

Stephen Worst service Ive ever received. My daughter was transferred from another Christus Clinic to this location to get a scan to confirm her appendix was inflamed. The Dr we saw never took her vitals, he just made her jump up and down and then said that he would not perform the scan and to come back if her pain got worse. We then received a bill for $1300 for "ER" services. Never coming back here again.

Jon Smithers Idk why this place has bad reviews. Been there twice for the same half-witted thing, both times everyone was super nice, professional, and caring. Both the nurse practitioner and the (I assume? Nurse) this time were great, good rapport, very friendly. Front desk staff was great, care was excellent. I was in and out in well under an hour. A+, no notes.
