Alina DeMarre Vi and her husband are absolutely delightful! I got my engagement set done with Elite Nails and I’m so happy I found them! Their spot is very calming; they purposefully try not to have multiple clients at once for a more relaxing and less hectic feel. This is unique when compared to other salons. I’m in obsessed and will only be coming here from now on. Vi was also very amazing to work with, listening to every little detail. Originally, I went in and got a design done. I then decided in the next day or so that I wanted to opt for a more sparkly look for my engagement photos. She immediately worked with me and fix me into her busy schedule, catering to me and my time. 10/10 recommend!

Haleigh Farmer I was in town getting ready to go on a cruise and had extra time Sunday before we were able to board. I called Elite Nails and she was happy to fit me in! I showed up and met Vi. She was such a kind and caring lady. She not only provided the nail service but provided tips on how to maintain healthy nails and cuticles. She is very educated and takes her time to ensure each customer has a wonderful experience. I am so happy I met Vi on our trip. She was such a delight. I would highly recommend. Kelly Brady PLEASE JUST KNOW! IF YOU GET ACRYLIC/POWDER, THEY WILL POP OFF AND SHE WILL NOT FIX IT. After two days, nail popped off…COMPLETELY. Went back to get it repaired and she stated she could not do it. No explanation why, no apology, with a stern face and an attitude. She could not repair it now or no later date. My initial visit went extremely well no issues…which is why I went back. I walked in, she asked what I needed, I replied Just a repair, she replied “Can’t do it!” Professionalism is in the toilet. Find somewhere else to go. Spend your money somewhere where they appreciate you.

Mel Urbina Tina and Jerry are truly exceptional. I’ve tried many nail salons, but I always find myself coming back here. They are incredibly detail-oriented and help me choose a look that I’m happy with for the next 2-3 weeks. Their work is consistently top-notch, and their prices are very reasonable. Plus, they never make you feel uncomfortable if you can’t leave a tip, which is rare these days. They deserve far more than I can offer, so I’m leaving this review to support them. They are kind, funny, personable, and highly skilled. I’ve never had a single complaint, and I constantly get compliments on their work. I went in today and had the place to myself for about an hour. Even if they were busy, I’d gladly wait my turn. I usually expect a wait when I walk in without an appointment, but they always seem to be available. If you’re looking for excellent work at a fair price, give them a try. You won’t be disappointed!

Lizzy Bueno I started going to Cozy Girl Nails at the beginning of November 2024, so I’ve had a few pedicures and acrylic sets done. Lyn does an amazing job for nails … her work is unmatched. I got them done there by someone else last week, but I was very disappointed. Fortunately, Lyn fixed them, and I will be sticking with her! All of my pedicures have been done by different technicians and all have been great. Their prices are fair, so I’m happy to tip more for their work ☺️

Raquel Garcia During my vacation, I decided to indulge in a manicure and pedicure at this salon based on its positive reviews, and Im so glad I did! The service I received made me feel like royalty. I opted for the number 2 package for the pedicure and a basic manicure with shellac polish for both. They also offer a variety of drinks while you’re pampered. One of the best parts was being able to relax in a massage chair during the entire treatment. The technician spent extra time massaging my legs and arms with a wonderful scented lotion, which was an absolute delight. The staff was both quick and meticulous, ensuring a fantastic experience overall.

Lysa Youngquist Our cruise was delayed by 9 hours. I had a party of 10 and called to see if they could fit us in. Nine of us ended up getting pedicures manicures and nail fill. They fit us all in had a wonderful menu of complimentary drinks. I had a Red Bull and a mocha Starbucks coffee. They were talkative and friendly. Im sure they were grateful it was all one ticket. They even told me to pick out a few bottles of Polish to take home with me. This is how you do good business. We will be back on our next Cruise. Highly recommend.

KIM EVANS I have been on a trip for work for 3 weeks and desperately needed my nails redone. I had the best experience at modern Nails. Anna did a fantastic job. She listened to what I wanted and gave so much attention to detail. She did a mood changing powder on my nails, and now I have both blue AND purple nails! Dakota Hall Excellent pricing and quality service. Vivian is always very welcoming and friendly. Angel is my go-to when it comes to my maintenance pedicures. Very strong and gets deep in spots I didn’t know exist. Love this place! Definitely recommend the royal pedicure, the hot towel and hot wax sets it off from the rest.

Ever nail tech I have had has been incredible, professional, and so so talented! October 2023:gorgeous nails for spooky season! My new go to salon! September 2023: I have notoriously only ever had bad experiences at Galveston nail salons, but today I decided to give KT Nails a try and I am so happy I did!!! My nails look great! I got a dip manicure and was just blown away by this place. First, it is very lovely and relaxing inside, and the staff was super friendly. Prices are good and fair. I would definitely recommend and will be coming back!

It seems like not enough glue was used I have to go on the under part of my nails to file off excess gel. Had an amazing time. Super nice. Amazing stuff. Solid color is 55$ for my design was 90$. Ann Boehm Visiting the island, this nail salon was a great find. BUT- one grievance. I made reservations for 3 and when the three of us arrived (ON TIME) there were no employees available- as the shop had been taking walk ins prior to us arriving. Why bother making reservations if they are not going to be honored? To the salons credits they did call in three employees and by 11:15 we were getting feet soaked. We were on a tight baby feeding schedule which is why I had made the rezzie. All that being said- we received two great pedicures and a great manicure too.

Melinda Ledbetter I have been going to Joy Nails for a few months now and typically, book with Can. Can is amazing and will make sure you are happy with your nails before you walk out. He has always done a great job making my nails look fabulous for every work trip and vacation. Besides Can, the whole staff is very friendly and welcoming right as you walk in. Crystal Vogt My husband and I both had massages here and came away feeling amazing. We did a 90 minute massage and I would do it again in a heartbeat! The massage therapists were skilled and helped to bring so much relief to our bodies. I would highly recommend them!

Stephanie Elledge I get deep tissue massages about every two weeks to relax. I went here with my best friend on Saturday evening. Today I am sporting a few large bruises that are intensely painful. The massage therapist didnt adjust the pressure after I flinched and stopped the massage twice. Now I have bruises along my neck and spine and the inside of my calves as well as my shoulder and lower back. We were supposed to get 30 minutes of foot massages and the therapist barely touched my feet. Then after I paid the full price the lady at the front was incredibly persistent that I leave a tip. If I could give zero stars I would.

Elisa Vazquez Roper Wow! Sofia did a great job! $75 with full body massage for an hour, including hot stones and foot scrub, complete with a portable massage tub rinse. Next time I’ll spring for the facial mask. Clean, quiet and this was 10/31 at the beginning of LSBRally. Within walking distance and I’ll be going again! I’ve used the place on 61st which was a little less expensive at $60 but more extras at this one.

Kelly Lee Do not go here! They rush through your service to make the money and if you dont like it and ask them to fix something the same day they tell you that its you and they wont correct the crap job they did while rushing. They just want money. I asked for the 35$ lashes and the owner tried to get me to do the 100$ set because "individual too heavy, this better". I kept saying no and i wanted individual and she finally accepted what I said and told me i needed to wait an hour. So I asked for a soak off and a full set. Charged 100 for a short full set acrylic with pink and white painted hearts. Are you kidding? When I asked the tech (not previous lady) to soak off my original set, she said "tips better" and proceeded to get a white tip and shove it under the acrylic and ripped them off my natural nail taking half with it on most of my fingers. I wasnt happy throughout and kept having to correct her on the nails. They were crooked and rushed. I reluctantly paid and went home. I was unhappy and went back a couple hours later to get anyone to fix the structure of the few nails that she messed up while rushing (some nails where too small and my real nail was still exposed, the lengths didnt match on both sides, and some were uneven on the sides from filing too much) and the owner told me no. I was really sweet and nice when I came in thinking theyd help me because Tony said theyd help me, but no. I asked her to take them off and refund after she said she wouldnt fix the ones that were messed up and she ended up yelling at me!! She told me she needed to charge me if she did anything. Three of my nails werent even glued to the tips. She kept saying the acrylic looks bad because my nails grow like that. I tried to tell her theres a way to fix it. Ive been getting acrylics for 20 years, I know theres ways to counteract the way my nail grows to make it look the normal way. Just. Dont come here. I will be disputing the charge because the man Tony said theyd fix them for me but by the end of it all she did was file them and put nail oil to make them shiny. Do. No. Go. Here. Edit: They responded to my review and said "oh I wish I was there to fix the problem right when it happened, please call back so we can resolve". If this is true and they arent the owner like the lady that was there said she was they need to fire some people. You run a terrible business that is just mass produced crap. You want to get someone in and out as fast as possible so you can make more and more money. That lady that said she was the owner kept trying to sell me something and wouldnt take no for an answer until i had to say i didnt have 100$ for lashes. She gave me longer nails than what I wanted so she could charge a long length fee. You copy and paste responses and arent genuine. I doubt you even live in the state this nail salon is in. I will be telling people to stay far away from this chop-shop.

Almost two hundred dollars spent just to have to take her to the Dr a couple days after her pedicure bc her big toe got infected!! Im glad I didnt get a pedicure and only a full set, which she also got. And even then our nails were uneven and everytime we would say something for them to correct they would get mad. I knew it was gunna be an experience when I started hearing lots of complaints from people who were paying/leaving. But I wanted to try a new salon and now I know better. Amber Gabriel I attended an art conference here and had a wonderful stay. The large complex offered many types of session rooms and formats from expos to seminars. They even covered floors with plastic for the paint and clay workshops. Staff were helpful and friendly. Plenty of parking and elevators.

Sean Butcher This hotel feels like its straight out of the 2000s, and I love that about it! Its an extremely relaxing place with all the creature comforts you expect from a family friendly touristy resort. Theres a nice restaurant with a breakfast buffet, a rooftop steakhouse, gift shop, coffee shop, bar, and of course a pool. Even though the hotel feels a little dated (in a good way in my opinion) the rooms are very nice and clean. Its a nice family getaway for groups going to Moody Gardens or just visiting Galveston in general. My only complaint is that many of the amenities of the hotel are not operating during the "off season", which made the service aspect of the resort feel lacking during my stay. This is a minor issue as the main amenities, like the pool, restaurant, and spa, were still open.

Flip Coin Attended the Festival of Lights. A bit underwhelming with the pageantry of their illumination displays. My neighborhood’s holiday light shows offer much better dynamics and creativity. Definitely Not worth it for $30. Five dollars would be more appropriate. Plenty of parking, and felt safe. The staff are responsive if you ask them.

jerry Jones There was a delay at check in because there was an issue with our room (we checked in at 10 pm). We initially booked a room with 2 queens and a sleeper sofa for our family of 4. We ended up with a single king, sleeper sofa, and a roll in bed. We made it work but it was very cramped. A comped breakfast or parking would have gone a long way to match the apologies we kept getting from the front desk. "Sorry for the delays, sorry for the down graded room". We were there for a wedding so it was convenient to stay there, but I probably would not stay there again.

Aimee I was here for the TCTELA convention. Check-in was an easy process. The staff was friendly and efficient. The hotel itself is a bit outdated, but the rooms are comfortable and clean. Room was a nice size and equipped with a mini fridge and bath amenities. The only problem with the room was the temperature. I visited in February, and my room never got cool. It always felt “stuffy.” The thermostat appeared not to work. Housekeeping had left it turned all the way down but it never cooled. I spoke to 2 other convention attendees who complained of the same issue, so I assume it’s a problem experienced throughout the hotel and not isolated to just one room or floor. The convention center was a great space for our event! The meeting rooms were large and well-equipped. (I loved that they all had tables, not just rows of chairs.) There were plenty of restrooms, and the large ballroom was lovely. The food was some of the best hotel catering I’ve ever had. It was really a great experience. I’d enjoy attending another convention here, but maybe not in summer due to the issue with the hotel room thermostat.

Rhonda Bloomer I found the prices at this establishment to be quite high. When I communicated my preferences to a staff member who appeared to have undergone cosmetic surgery, she maintained that my nails were already shaped as desired and refused to fulfill my request. Consequently, I had to request a nail file in order to make the necessary adjustments myself. Additionally, I was charged an excessive amount for a basic nail set, which totaled $63, despite not opting for shellac or powder, it was the basic of basic. Pedi was $45, which is norm. On a brighter note, the pedicure service was exceptional. However, it was disappointing to notice that the staff seemed engaged in conversation and laughter among themselves while glancing in my direction, which led me to feel as though they might have been speaking negatively about me during my visit.

Blake Swift $70 for this. I will never again go to this salon again. I had also asked for an almond shape and was still given coffin. The left hand is very much barely worked on and half done. I do not suggest going here. As well, near the end of it there was lady’s gathering around giggling and talking about my nails. Never again.

J Gom I’ve honestly tried to give this salon a chance over and over again but the customer service is POOR. Each time I come, I keep having issues with my pedicure and acrylic set. Today for example, my toe nail was clearly chipped and she painted over it without clearly fixing it. If you’re the nail professional, I should not have to stop and ask the nail tech to buff it out, smooth it out or offer an overlay so that it looks neat and professional. When selecting a nail polish, sometimes you don’t get to see how it looks against the toe nail until a few coats. I asked to remove because it required too many coats for it to look good. They wanted to charge me extra to remove and do over when my other foot wasn’t even done. The nickel and diming of everything, including their mistakes is ridiculous. I should not have to pay for every single thing that should be included in service. It’s ridiculous… people spend way too much money for them To keep rushing or having people who can’t even communicate due to language barriers. Basic requests is not understood. It’s annoying and frustrating. They are under new management and they need to get it together. I spend well and tip well but today as I walked out of there, there was zero effort to even provide customer satisfaction. I will NEVER come back and spend my money at this establishment.

Selina Palacios They did pretty good on my nails and I didn’t notice anything wrong until I left a finger is a little crooked and my card was charged more than said on the receipt. Update: they gave me back 10$ of what they owed me but kept 5$ even though I tipped in cash

Noe Lusk DO NOT GO!!! I purchased the $40 pedicure & by the time I got home (which is a 5 minute drive) my feet were dry & my heels look like this. When I called to let them know that there was a problem they acted like they could not hear or understand me. So I told them that I would come back up there and they said ok. When I showed him my heels he said that they could NOT do anything about and that the skin on my heels were too thick & that if they would have filed any more then I would be hurting and bleeding, then he recommended that I put "medicine" on my feet every day after I take a shower & file them & then come back every two weeks for a pedi (for real dude?) When I asked what kind of medicine he tried to SELL me this "medicine" for $20. I couldnt believe it. PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY! If I could give this place a BIG FAT ZERO I MOST DEFINITELY WOULD.

Hannah McLellan Oh. My. Gosh. I never do a nail place on a whim, but this was SO worth it after getting a recommendation from a cashier at a local shop. They took me in as a walk in and I was in the chair in under 10 minutes. My technician was AMAZING, though I didn’t get his name. He took such care with my nails, double and triple checking they were the length and shape I wanted. This absolutely made my vacation!!!

Kimberly Beatty Terrible experience and horrible nails. All of my nails are crooked and shaped weird. The service was terrible as the guy seemed pissed off the entire time. He got up once to put pain medication on his wrist. He then complained to me and blamed me for his terrible work saying I didnt relax my hand. I will NEVER go here again and strongly discouraged anyone from going here.
