I hadn’t been able to get my hair done for a while due to Covid and went with a more ash / platinum blonde highlights versus the golden highlights I had. Looks beautiful and light for summer !

Martha Solis Excellent service from Marlene, very nice person and above all very professional. Starting with my makeup and hair trial (the same one I used for my bachelorette party) I was delighted with the result. It was the first time I met Marlene, but I had confidence in her because she had been highly recommended to me. At the end of the test I felt very calm, knowing that I would be in good hands on my wedding day. At my wedding, Marlene and Yuri did at home for 9 women in total: 6 hair and makeup with airbrush and 3 just hair. We started at 7:30 am and we were all ready at 2 pm. As for the quality of the service, I was delighted again, as were the others. The hairstyle was very pretty, not a single strand of hair fell out during the entire event and the airbrush makeup, needless to say, beautiful and without the need for retouching. In general, I am super happy with the service that Alondra Salón provides and I recommend it 100%.

Robyn Bramble I called to schedule an appointment for a hair cut and vivid highlights on dark hair, once I arrived the staff was very nice and after briefly waiting I was started on. My hair is dark brown and I knew bleaching would be part of the process as I wanted hot pink face framing pieces. While the stylists was very nice and my hair cut looks good, she failed to tone my hair after bleaching it and it had darker bleach spots on a portion. Rather than toning to match the other lifted portions she proceeded to put the vivid pink color on a splotchy base. As a result my hair is now three different pinks and when my mom and I asked the stylist she said she could put more color over to match it. I knew at this point it was best to call it a day and find a vivid color correction specialist. I like my haircut and the staff was nice, but I would not recommend coming to this location for vivid colors. Really bummed about the cost of what i paid and the new cost I will now have to pay out to have it corrected.

Michelle Young Elena was super helpful and made my experience a great one. The time she took to show me different options for hair toppers and educating me on them was much appreciated. These are definitely an investment but you can be confident in the quality. I like that shes trained to customize the topper or wig to your liking or needs and has first hand experience of the products she sells. She shared with me the more breathable options the different coverage options and the differences with each. I couldnt be happier with the service that I was given. I never once felt pressured to purchase and that meant a lot to me because its definitely something to plan for (at least for my budget) but when Im ready I will definitely be returning.

Sandra Garcia I usually enjoy coming to Lox and feel pretty comfortable walking in, but I visited this past week and they had a new stylist. I’m not opposed to trying someone new for what I believe to be a pretty normal haircut (an inch off the length and long layers) but I regret stopping in now. My “layers” are so hard to blend even though I usually curl my hair anyway (probably weren’t blended at all) where I part my hair to the side because they’re so much shorter than the other side of my head and they just stick out if I don’t keep running my fingers through it. She parted my hair down the middle to cut the layers and didn’t adjust much when she parted it back to the side after cutting. I’m so upset to have spent $40 on this cut (after tip) because I didn’t realize the extent of the problem at the salon (the stylist didn’t blow dry my hair after she cut it so it looked normal wet). I don’t think I’ll be back. It may seem really minimal to someone else but I’ve never had this issue and I’ve been getting layers my entire life. Now I have to wait for this to grow back out. (Last photo to show the other side where the lengths of the “layers” are clearly different)

Brianna Ybarra Great service! The salon stuck to my appointment time and no time was wasted. While getting my hair washed, the water was perfect temperature and the mini scalp massage was very relaxing. Elena helped me figure out the perfect layers for my face shape and the style left me feeling confident and loving my new look.

Angelica Lopez I had taken my daughter here as a walk in for a cut and she was satisfied with it. I returned another day for a cut myself and I walked in and there was no one waiting and no one getting serviced. Mind you they take walk ins. The lady who was inside said she couldn’t cut my hair because she was waiting on an appointment who happened to be running late. She didn’t even give me the option to want to wait to see if her appointment showed up or not. I was just asking for a simple haircut of my ends nothing fancy. Will not be returning here.

I work up super early, dropped my kids to a sitter and pay for the sitter for nothing..... Its hard for single moms to have time but when we do we try to get stuff done.... I called the salon and they said a manager was Ganna call me and Im still waiting for the call

Amber Salinas I got my hair done with Angel and was very unsatisfied with my outcome. My hair came out blotchy and uneven with different undertones in random spots, I have gotten my hair bleached and done before and have never had it look like this. when I told him I was unsatisfied I wasnt offered any service to fix it or anything to compensate.

Robert Garcia After blow dry bar is a breath of fresh air! I can’t wait to go back! From when i entered the salon from when I left i was met with the most exquisite service I’ve had in a long time. doddie km I was anticipating it going not how I wanted. I didnt think itd be this bad. I came at 10:50 for a trim and color. I showed reference images of what I was looking for, something with a natural looking red or ginger and a cut that took maybe an inch off. I was seated at 11:30 and was told by Rocio she was going to do a different pattern and would add color to my previously bleached parts. I agreed. She didnt directly tell me but I overheard she was putting black in my dark brown hair and it was too late for me to object. She let me process and I was there until maybe 5:30. Through this, I was only properly checked on how was doing once. She washed out the bleach and again didnt show or tell me what color she was putting. She put a bright red thats already fading and stained the parts i wanted to be left blonde. It doesnt follow my part line either, how i showed up with my naturally curly hair, forcing my hair to be middle parted for it to look sensible. The trim was fine. She took 2 inches off and I had to tell her not to use a straightener when my reference images show the hair styled curly. When she finally showed me how it looked, it was an hour past close so I couldnt really say it was bad. It felt even more sour when they claimed I was only here until 1:30. Hadnt eaten for the past 9ish hours and was already over it; payed the 250 plus tip, so 295, and left.

Elizabeth Olsen I hadn’t had a haircut in a few years because I have alopecia and I get embarrassed of my hair loss. The staff at Emporio were so kind and Sol did an amazing job! Laurie Stay away…Blanca came highly recommended, unfortunately, I don’t feel the same. I went to her for highlights and a cut. She did a decent job on the highlights, however, I asked for lite highlights and she did heavy highlights. I was a brunette with highlites and I am now a blonde. When it came to the cut, I asked for layers. She literally pulled my hair into a messy ponytail and trimmed about 1/8” off the end. She never even cut the rest of my head! Terrible haircut, worst I have even received. I will not be back and I will let others know the bad job she did. To top it off, she charged me top dollar for it all! Terrible business Blanca.

Daniella Luna I don’t want to write this review but I feel like I have too. To start off, I have naturally fine hair (lots of it) and I have been mildly anemic (this is important to know). Last year, March 2024 I decided I wanted to bleach my hair. I had virgin hair up until that point. Now, before bleaching, I would shed a normal amount of hair, I was never worried (yes, I was already aware of being mildly anemic). After I bleached my hair, my hair has been shedding like CRAZY. Granted, I knew my hair would take on some damage with the whole bleaching process; however, I did not realize to the extent. I hoped that after a few weeks the shedding would calm down, but nope. I bleached it again in August 2024 (dumb of me to do so) however, the bleach was left on longer than the first time (March 2024). My hair has been an absolute disaster, I have not done anything to my hair in the past 5 months except get a trim and try my best to take care of it. My diet consists of healthy foods, and aside from mild anemia, I had/have no other vitamin/mineral deficiencies. I’m unsure if my fine hair was over processed and permanently damaged, but it is very upsetting and depressing for my hair to be coming out in clumps. The employees are absolute sweethearts and I know they had other clients to attend too, but I believe they left the bleach on for too long and now my hair is damaged.

Dr. Lydia L. Bean Had a lovely 80 min relaxation massage with Andrea. I didnt request hot stones which are an extra fee but she added them in which I love! The massage felt great...not too light and definitely not a deep tissue. She adjusts to how you prefer...just let her know. Best part was actually the scalp because Ive been having headaches and also my neck area. Used the jacuzzi as well after. Great experience per usual.

Laura A Martinez this salon has no continuing education experience, you can tell with the level of service they provide. I went for a cut, dye & extension hair service. I was greeted with the most horrible customer service rep you could ever meet. She was rude & acted like my presence was annoying her in the salon. The “Owner “ proceeded to foil my bangs and bleach them for the color match. I’ve never been to another salon that has bleached my bangs, the most sensitive part of your hair for the color match. They forgot about me and went to the back to provide other services to guests. They came back, frightened and scared when they noticed my hair was beyond the color that I wanted. After this clear mistake on their part, they tried to charge me $60 for the appointment to color match. I refused to pay and let them know that this was the worst service for a cut & dye in the RGV that I have ever received. They still tried to make it look like it was my hair that was the problem and not their LOW Level of experience and tried to offer me a reduced rate for hair extensions. NO THANK YOU, RUN LADIES !

They listen to your thoughts and needs, while offering their thoughts on you cut/color/care when you ask their opinion. They take their time, and dont rush through. Id rcmd this salon any day of the week.

Marianna Azuara We have been going with Becca since my daughter was two years old. She is a professional braider her quality of work speaks for itself. Not only does she braid but provides classes on how to braid. She works around all type of hair she is great with children and does a fantastic job as well as her staff. Julieta braided her hair and did amazing in general THIS is the ONLY place to go in the RGV if you want quality perfection braids done or other services they offer.
