The Best 11 Hair Salon in Bastrop, TX (part 2)

Rachel Hatch Im in the process of moving to Bastrop so thought Id find a new stylist there and felt like I lucked out with Nancy! Shes also new to the area and is very experienced. I have curly hair and am always wary about getting a new stylist, but she really understands curly hair and did a great job. Almost everyone I interacted with that day complimented my hair! The price was also extremely reasonable especially in comparison to Austin prices!

Kurt M Best mens Ive stylist found after searching for 2 years in Bastrop. Tancy is knowledgeable, experienced, professional, and polite. My wife thinks it may be one of the best cuts since I entered the balding phase of my life. Happy to have finally found a pro in Bastrop!

Amanda Owens Ive been twice and was blessed to have Tanci work on my hair. Both times I left completely satisfied. I found my new hair home. Shes very helpful too.

Marci Mattes Love my hair cut and color! Tanci took the time to listen and she helped make decisions for a perfect cut and color. Shes creative, energetic, experienced and kind. The salon is clean and inviting, and plenty of parking near by. Pricing is very reasonable. This is the 4th salon Ive tried in Bastrop and Im glad Ive finally found a hair stylist to return to!!

A Wadum The salon is upstairs in a historic building downtown. The salon decor is tastefully done and professional looking. My daughter and I both got our hair cut here. Kimberly took the time to listen to what we were wanting. She gave us both an excellent cut. Kimberly was very personable and engaging. The cost for the wash, cut and style was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this Salon.

Lauren NATALIA Kimey I love my experience every time I get my hair done here. All of the lovely ladies here are so nice and welcoming. All do a phenomenal job with both hair & maintaining great client relationships. Couldn’t recommend more for anyone looking for hair needs!! Cassidy is my go-to girl and she will get you right!

Ryan McInerny Kris at The Hair Studio is now the only human being in Texas I will trust with cutting my hair. As someone with Curly hair it can be hard finding a hair stylist that wont turn me into the human embodiment of a q-tip. Kris nailed it. She helped me get exactly the cut I wanted and I didnt have to take out a personal loan to afford it. There is nothing better than not being mistaken as a tool to clean ones ears. I couldnt be happier!

Nydia Saldivar I highly recommend this place. Brooke is an excellent stylist and she always does an amazing job on my hair. If youre looking for a new stylist, look no further. Brooke is your girl.

Kat Lyon The Hair Studio offers great service and atmosphere for a good price. My stylist, Brooke, is exceptional and knows how to take care of me and my locks. I came to her a few years ago uncertain with what I wanted to do with my hair, and she has helped me fall in love with it again. Ive traversed the fantasy rainbow of colors with her and each time Ive received a plethora of compliments from strangers and friends. Brookes work is phenomenal! I highly recommend her and The Hair Studio!

Michelle Smith I recently called Mel with Call for Beauty to have my hair and makeup done for my 30yr anniversary and vow renewal. Mel was so wonderful and my hair and makeup was way beyond what I could have dreamed of. My appointment was set around noon. The vow renewal was at 6pm. My make up held up all afternoon and well into the night. My hair never fell and my curls stayed in my hair, which is a hard thing to do. Mel made magic happen for my special day and I highly recommend her for any special event anyone may have. I will be using her again.

amberley palmer Had my first facial today with Mel. She is very knowledgeable about your skin and makes recommendations based on what areas you would like to see results in. I have sensitive skin and did not have any sensitivity issues. Found it to be a good stress release.

Cherie Wood Worst haircut and hair coloring in my 63 years. My natural color is light brown, not black. The cut and blow dry was horrible. I couldnt believe she was going to let me walk out like that. I immediately went home and washed and dried my hair to an appropriate style. Maybe I caught her on a bad day, she did say she was up doing laundry all hours of the night. No, I would not recommend this place to anyone. REFUND MY MONEY - - - THAT WOULD MAKE ME FEEL BETTER ABOUT MYSELF, AND DONT BE DOING LAUNDRY THROUGH THE WEE HOURS OF THE MORNING.

Donna Hunsicker Melissa is a fantastic hair stylist and such a nice person. She is very good at matching the correct color for you complexion to make you look much better. I have received many compliments at my office on how natural the coloring looks. I had very short sparse eyelashes. She recommended a product to use and wow do they look great. Melissa has done lash lift and tint and people cannot believe the difference. I have been too many stylists over the years, but she is hands down the best.

Emily Tank Melissa is just fantastic and so professional. My eyelashes turned out great and shes equally good with the scissors. I walked out feeling fabulous. Highly recommend!!

Steven Schultz This is the second haircut Lindsey has given me and both of them have been perfect. Today, I let a person go in front of me so I could have her cut my hair. I greatly appreciate the time she takes to make sure her customers are happy. Supercuts has a great employee in Lindsey and I will continue to go there as long as she is cutting hair.

susan powell My stylist Roxanne was thorough and welcoming. My hair is thin and fine, so she cuts my hair dry so that it will continue to fall into its proper place, whether wet or dry. It is a pleasure to have this lovely person as my stylist, and I can depend on her to do a great job every time i come.

Ashley Garrison We had a 1 pm check in and the stylist Deonna we were assigned to never waited on us. We sat for an additional 15 minutes while she walked in and out of the back rooms. Roxanna was very helpful and sat him right away once she realized he had not been seen.

Rhoda Hart I wont go to anyone else except Rebecca at Supercuts in Bastrop. She always does an amazing job with both my daughter and me. All of the staff are friendly and get you in quickly. The establishment is clean and they do a great job whether its for a man, woman or child. Thanks Again!

Raquel Fry Rebecca is an absolute gem. She is so kind, and understanding. She listens to what you would like, and does a great job at executing the task with ease. There is no one I would trust more to cut my hair than her. I’m so luckily to have found such an amazing stylist.

Carol Herrera Great place! Ive been coming here for about 1 year now, and Ive been very satisfied with their service. My hairstylist is Elia J. She does wonderful work. I always go in for haircolor and haircut. The prices are very reasonable.

amy crumley Absolutely love these ladies ! They are super friendly, sweet and do such an amazing job. The more you go they become family. My 4 year old loves to have his hair cut only by them, makes him feel safe, comfortable and so great with him.

ROBERT MENN Excellent hair cut, and very welcoming atmosphere. Reminds me of the small town barber shops I went to as a young boy. Id recommend it to anyone.

RaeCutsTx Stopped in the other day . Old dude in the back of shop was the one that gave me the cut. Left me all cut up on my neck and back of neck . Literally bleeding and had to go buy healing oilment since it stung all day and the next. The clippers were not gapped right and just cut me the entire time . Also didn’t disinfect the clippers before use. Only spent 10 min on me and asked for $25 . I barber myself and if I take 10 min on a client and rush the cut and cut him up bad in the process . The cut would be free . On the other hand big man up front was doing some fine work . If I ever go back I’ll request him . Just watch out for old man in back . Not a good barber .

Jane Doe The WORST hair experience I have ever had. I have very long hair and was going in just looking for a good trim - asking for about 4 inches off. I made it very clear to Rhonda that I wanted to keep the length and I even showed her a reference picture with the long layering I was asking for. She then preceded to carelessly chop off about 8-10 inches of my hair leaving it completely uneven and choppy, and then had the nerve to ask me “if I was going to miss the length?”. I was so shocked and upset I had to leave the salon for a minute to calm down. I would give this place zero stars if I could. Do not let this woman touch your hair. It will take me years to grow back the hair that she so carelessly decided to cut and even after all of this I had to go somewhere else to try to fix the mess she made.

Judy Sears Rhonda has become my hair stylist. She is now the only one to cut my hair. All I have to do is sit down, and Rhonda goes to work. She has perfected cutting my hair without direction or comment. Friendly, understanding and professional, thats Rhonda! Thanks!

Rachael Dimitt I like my stylist, Rhonda Kosik, she is polite, helpful, efficient and knowledgeable about her products and styles. She has nicely handled social distancing, sanitizing her stations and tools. We have some fun and interesting conversations!

Rachael Dimitt I have been going to Ronda for my hair care for about 6 years. She always does a great job and is helpful in suggesting a new style or color tone. Ronda is pleasant to be around, always courteous and on time.

Erin Alexandra Had a great experience with Noel! They did a great job and gave me exactly what i wanted. It’s always nice to have a stylist who ‘gets’ curly hair. Best of all my haircut was only $18 since they offer a teacher discount! I will definitely be returning to this Great Clips location!

David Upton This place is the worst ever. They close up when they want not adhering to their posted times of business. Closing their doors an hour before their posted time of closing, turning away several customers. Must be nice, a business that can afford to turn away so many customers. The manager was very rude when I mentioned how they were closing up earlier than their sign says. Their reason for closing was that they had covid. I am sure glad I did not step inside or touch their door, with the manager saying they had covid. This place should be boarded up and quarantined to stop their spreading covid.

Justin Moore Put my name on the list they said 50 min. I said I’ll be right out front in my truck that was 3:30pm. 530 comes out last hair cut walks out I walk in they say sorry we are closed. I waited almost 2 hours. Sign says they close at 6pm on Sundays. Total B.S. and the grumpy old lady was rude. So pissed!!! Wasted 2 hours on my only day off. They told me they would come let me know too.

Samantha Marin The wait time was 55 minutes. My husband and I had an event to go to on Saturday and did a checkin at 5:30 by 7:00 we still had not been attended. We knew we were last so we were prepared to wait. As we sat there for an hour and a half patiently I must add we were the last two people. Two ladies had completed their client cuts they paid and one of the ladies just started packing up her station like I am done for the day knowing we had been sitting there this whole time. Then same thing the other lady finished her client as well they paid same thing. We sat for 15 more minutes they never said a word just packed up their stuff and never said give us a few minutes or anything. So we sit and we’re never assisted. Terrible service.

Plague V Always a delight going here! Its the only hair stylist Ill go to. Everywhere else is stupid expensive and deliver poor results. This place has always satisfied me on their quality of service. All their stylists are very proficient in what they do and have tons of confidence in their work!

Rene Shaw Thank you for your amazing customer service. My 95-year-old father was greeted with the most amazing customer service and haircut from Doris. I asked if I could have a water for my father and they said the company does not provide them. Such a great gesture for your company to have waters if the customer really needs one.

jpv1995 Friendly staff. Hair clippers they use could use those little vacuums attachment to keep hair from coming down customers face. I had hair in my lower back and mouth after I left. Update: Doris was able to fix my haircut after getting one from Sports Clip in Plfurgerville.
