Citadel Credit Union - Thorndale (PA)

1 /5 Alexis Little: In less than one year of membership, I have experienced the same unresolved account issue twice within a single month. Today, after receiving a call from Citadel, I arrived at the branch within an hour and arranging childcare on short notice to resolve the matter immediately. Last month and again this month, I formally requested a written summary explaining how this situation occurred. The only written response through the Citadel app stated my message was “passed along” to Avery Britt Robinson. During my in-person visit today, the teller phoned Thomas from the Collections Department. I requested the written summary three separate times during that visit. The request was not acknowledged. For over 10 years, I completed the same type of transaction monthly with my previous credit union without a single problem. I only moved to Citadel due to relocation. The difference in reliability, documentation, and follow through has been significant. What makes it worse is knowing that other financial institutions can process these exact same transactions quickly and reliably. If you rely on timely deposits or need dependable access to your money, think carefully before using this credit union. Consistency and reliability should be the bare minimum in banking, and unfortunately, Citadel has not delivered. This review is not written lightly. My Google profile reflects that I am typically quick to commend businesses, especially local ones. However, based on repeated issues, a lack of written documentation when requested, and no resolution, I strongly urge current and prospective members to consider this information carefully before relying on Citadel for their financial needs.

1 /5 Anthony Hatfield: Straight racist ..my mom is 81 years old she’s been dealing with citadel since day 1 , once again she tried to buy a cashiers check and the lady says can we get another ID knowing they have her ID on file , actually made her come inside from the drive thru again, she actually told them where to stick the cashiers check, this location is known for their racist tactics , just why I’m a member of Wells Fargo . Hard to believe in 2025 my mom still has to deal bigotry. I thank God I wasn’t there … guess it’s so hard to just treat everyone equally, but citadel employees are obviously trained to treat people of color in this manner… I told my mom to change banks don’t put up with this racist institution

5 /5 Fran Lombardo: I read such terrible reviews about this location that I hesitated to come to Citadel but due to my circumstances I had no choice. I had to close my deceased sisters account and open same in my name. Sam Sainto was wonderful and took care of everything for me while I sat there. It was a process but went very smoothly.

5 /5 Pearl Groff: People at the bank especially GiGi who has helped me several times deserve a big raise! Ryan also has helped me. Jennifer Snead at Exton is HORRIBLE! NO communication, forgets things., writes the wrong stuff, never answers phone etc HORRIBLE!
