Lana Light A great school with caring teachers and staff. Love the moral teachings for the children. They are doing well with implementing academics, and fun-filled activities and trips for the students.

Naisha B When your child is not only excited to go to school every day and also has important relationships with their Teachers, Dean, and Principal. It has made my child want to work hard to improve their grades and develop their moral focus, which is preparing them for the world. Thank you! B.E.C.S.

Mrs Freeman is a very active principal she’s constantly engaging with students. THE TEACHERS are the best part of this school they are very passionate and very knowledgeable. Jessica McCulloch I went to this school when it was called SARAH J HALE HS. I miss the memories and friends Ive made and still keep in touch with. Loved my teachers. Just wish theyve done this back in my day. Graduate of 93. School looks the same.

Kat J As the parent of a Senior, I am more and more impressed with the school all the time. The Visual Art show is phenomenal and the talent across the 5 different Studios shows the dedication and talent of the teachers. The school is big enough for the kids to find friends and interests whether in sports, clubs or academics; yet small enough that the teachers and administrators get to know their students well. They have a strong selection of AP courses and it isn’t unusual to hear music in the hallways. It is a public school and doesn’t fit all kids all the time but it does a darn good job of meeting the needs of the majority of kids with diverse needs and backgrounds.

Zawar Hussain I am here to appreciate BDCS for amazing experience. Our 2 out of three children graduated from BDCS and got submitted in one the best high schools of Manhattan and 3-rd child is still studying there. I appreciate this school for shaping my children to the people they are today academically. All teachers and staff members treat all scholars just like their own kids. Thank you BDCS for everything and I look forward for our next graduation from Brooklyn Dreams Charter School.

Layla As a student their I will say it is a pretty decent school they upgraded the gym room it’s not the lunch room anymore and also they cook and session the food the teachers are great and take their job seriously unlike some other schools and if you want your kids to have a school uniform this is the school for you the uniform are cheap at ideal and if you can’t afford it the school will provide it to your kids for free

Mac Mittey Do not Send your Child here. I Currently have 4 children here and I feel trapped. All they care about is receiving funding for each child. Most of the Deans are the absolute worst when it comes to dealing with parents and their concerns.

Asia Mae You can tell the school is running on a low budget every graduation they use the same song it’s in a hot gym. They don’t put much effort into the graduations at all for none of the grades. The school need a major renovation from teachers staff and overall the way they run this school.

MS . ORTIZ Teachers and the lady who runs the school is bad overall! I talk to kids parents and they really don’t like how kids learn! Karen Fuller This year and last, there was a rich variety of offerings including media literacy, mixed sports, band on top of a thoughtful curriculum in humanities, math and science. The building is beautiful and its great having Seth Low park across the street. It remains uncertain which of these electives will survive year to year because they depend, in part, on PTO funding.

Test Test Susan Peci. Unprofessional over the phone and in person. She need to treat the parents with courtesy and respect

Jennifer Frankel My children joined the school in fall of 2021 with no prior German language knowledge. We do not speak German at home but wanted to give our children a bilingual education. We were drawn in by the unique hybrid curriculum, the warm community feel, and the chance for our children to have a well-balanced education. GSB did not disappoint. 3 years later my children are able to understand, speak and write German! They love going to school everyday because their voices are heard and opinions valued. They have made wonderful friendships and developed lasting connections with their teachers. They are get to work collaboratively on group projects as well as independently. We love this school and are so happy with our decision to attend.

Liliana Nieves We are a family with three children at GSB: Simon in 7th grade, Hannah in 3rd grade, and Maria in 1st grade. This is our second year at the school since moving from the German School in Bogota, Colombia. Over the past two years, our kids have grown immensely. They have become proficient in both English and German and have also developed significant self-confidence through various dance/art performance activities organized by the school. They have embraced sports in a way they hadnt before and are thriving socially. The schools dedicated and personalized approach to education has greatly benefited our children. The community welcomed us with open arms, even though none of us has a German background. We are truly happy with our decision to choose GSB as the school for our three kids.

Pascal Schaary Weve been part of the German School Brooklyn for a decade. What makes this school stand out and has been the most amazing feature is the incredible community that comes with it. Its been an amazing journey thats culminated in our own amazing building in Crown Heights. Our children continue to learn and enjoy their teachers, the excursions, their new building, their friends. Us parents enjoy the support of teachers, the Board, the Parent Association and other parents. We look forward to another decade at the school, at which point our last one should complete 12th grade.

Ruslan Volochii My child attends Think School for one year and I just can say that the teachers are amazing. They care a lot about students. The principal Ms. Shira is always available to help and has a focus on whats best for the children. I see a huge difference between this school and a public school that we have attended before.
