5 /5 Lori B: I was actually a customer of Dental Association of Staten Island for several years before it became Smilist Dental. The front desk staff: Gabriel, Denise, Christine and Gino are awesome. Josephine or, as I call her, Josie, my Dental Hygienist, and my dentist, Dr.Mark Severino, are truly amazing. The entire staff is warm, friendly, and professional. They treat me like family and go beyond the max to ensure Im okay on all levels. Clean environment and pleasant atmosphere helps create a positive 5 STAR experience.

5 /5 Winnie Chan: Clara was a wonderful hygienist. Polite, personable and detail oriented. A friend recommended me to Dr. Severino. He was very knowledgeable and courteous. You can tell he really cares about his patients. The Check in and check out process was efficient.

5 /5 Elizabeth Mary: Josephine is a sweet and caring hygienist. I was surprised to see that I didn’t see one drop of blood when I spit (after the cleaning). Dr. Severino is nice and reassuring.

2 /5 Sunita M.: My family and I have been a long time patients of Dr Griswald and Josephine and they’re both excellent. However since the take over by Smilist, the focus is on the REVENUE rather than patient care and individual situations. Had a procedure done week ago by Dr. David Lefkowitz who rushed me out of the chair when I asked him a question about my procedure on a follow-up visit. I have been dealing with nothing but unprofessionalism. NEVER had any issues before. The manger had no concern to resolve the matter but to sign me up for a payment plan. I do NOT recommend Smilist - SI office Update follow-up visit on 12/6/24 No communication or effort to resolve the matter. Instead I was told my husband and children will not be able to get services since I have a balance on my acct. I have totally different insurance and informed that I have submitted claims to insurance and to allow some time. The only matter that was discussed was “money”. My husband and children have Aetna which they participate with - and NO balance on acct. I want to make others aware of tactics and practices of the Smilest. Their culture as advertised“ what happens when you mix together entrepreneurial drive, resources, passion and urge to help people? A perfect storm. But as we endeavor to create an exceptional patient experience, we don’t lose sight of what is important” Totally misleading patients with this advertisement. They have lost what is important which is to work with patients specifically if they’re established patients prior to take over by Smilist. Penalizing and refused to provide services to other family members who have totally different insurances.

5 /5 Iwona Stawiarski: The best dentist ever! Dr.Severino is the only one who does not make me anxious before the visit. His bedside manners are impeccable.He takes the time to explain the problem and informs the patient of what he plans to do step by step throughout the entire treatment process .I call him “The Painless Dentist “.Dr.Severino is very professional, delicate, patient and honest .He truly cares. The front desk and support staff are always very nice and welcoming, especially Christine , the superstar and real sunshine. In his office,I feel like an important member of the family. If you visit him once, you will never go to a different dentist. Iwona S.
