The Chapel - Cortland (NY)

5 /5 Chris Poole: Warm friendly church where Jesus and the scriptures are taught. There are several teachers who share the role of bringing light to the scriptures. Love the fact that before the service starts children can be seen playing and filled with the joy of not worrying about strict rules (the old children should be seen, and not heard, adage). My impression is it is a fellowship where you are loved into a desire to follow Jesus, not beaten with a Jesus baseball bat. There is a genuine heart for service in the church. Worship is good and I believe those who attend are genuinely authentic in practicing their faith.

Pastor Jon is an incredible speaker and it feels like God is speaking directly to your heart during service. I became a member and was baptized here and I am so blessed to have been led to the Chapel when I needed it the most

5 /5 Kathy Tornatore: My family and I began attending Believers Chapel in Cortland shortly after they opened their doors! We were looking for a church that values commitment to the word of God above all else. Second, we wanted to be part of a community of believers striving to grow in faith, not perfection! We have found our home at BC Cortland! This church offers something for everyone- families with young children will appreciate the Kids Church on Sundays. Young adults will find a huge group of peers that are always looking to make new friends! There are small groups and classes all week long to continue connecting and growing. BC Cortland also participates actively in community outreach. From the huge back to school event in September to the monthly Food Bank- Fresh Food distribution there are many opportunities to get involved. Come check out this amazing, fun, down to earth church filled with real, imperfect folks trying to follow Jesus! Perhaps it could be your home as well!

5 /5 Betsi Gallagher: I love this church. The Pastor and leaders are awesome, the people are friendly and accepting. The atmosphere is casual and laid back. The worship is wonderful and so are the messages. This is a very community minded church and they have numerous outreaches and ministries to the people who live here and many opportunities to get involved and serve. If you are looking for a church where you will feel at home, check it out.

5 /5 Mark Morrell: My family and I have been attending since we started out as Christians. The first sermon series was called "no perfect people" which made me feel welcome. As the church has grown so have we with our walk with the Lord. Plus they always have tasty treats and potlucks for those of you just interested in food!
