Jane Dunkin Met the loveliest lady who works in the Grace Church soup kitchen. Her name is Ana, and kindness, generosity, and yes, grace flow from this woman. She is helpful and ready to give you a smile, a cup of coffee, or even directions, as in my case. Watched this woman walking her way around the room
laughing, smiling, and talking to everyone. I walked up to her and asked for directions. She didnt know the answer, but she would find out for me. Offered me coffee, a sandwich, and a sweet treat ( brownie piece) while she got the answer for me . I declined because I was already late for an appointment.
A few minutes later, she came back with directions for me. I thanked her, and she gave me a brownie piece and told me to return it if I ever needed anything. Patted
my arm and smiled, then someone called her name, and she said goodbye.
I had been having a hot, frustrating morning until that moment. In less than 5 minutes, this woman offered me food, warmth, and kindness. It made my day. Nice to know that there are people in the world like her.
