5 /5 Paul Brutsky: A large family style Eastern European Pentecostal church which has great leaders and a vibrant youth. Supportive people, volunteer based ministers (practically everyone) and many opportunities and connections to local churches. Grateful for the support and encouragement from this church that led me into higher education. This is a congregation that loves prayer and grounded worship. SPC/House of Prayer speaks to needs of Slavic immigrants while simultaneously connecting 3rd culture youth to the root traditions and history of Slavic Pentecostalism.

5 /5 Sam Brutsky: It’s a privilege to be a part of this church. Since childhood, I’ve been in this church and God has been using many generations of leaders who truly are obedient to Gods voice and lead the people in close fellowship, truth and community. This church is always so open to new people, very acceptant to people of all walks of life. The church has many events and activities for kids and all generations of people. There are so many ministries to be a part of and so many opportunities to serve others and the community/city/world around us. So much diversity, yet so easy to connect with! You can always have the best quality time with people who have the same goals in life, and that is to Glorify God with the life that he has given us. This church is close friends with neighboring churches such as Redeemer Church, Calvary Gospel Church and others. The main words/sermons are mainly shared in English and Russian, as well as sometimes Ukrainian, Spanish and others. Furthermore, the church always has clear translation earphones for anyone who does not understand the language being spoken. The services on Sundays are at 10am and 5pm, as well as Saturday evening services, Friday prayers, teen services, youth services, woman meetings, prayer groups, home groups and Bible studies. Throughout the week, most evenings have choir practices of all ages from kids, pre-teen, and teen choirs to youth, married couples, family and elderly choirs. All Glory to God for the church that He himself formed from a community of people from all around.

1 /5 Susana Brutsky: Looks good on the surface level, except the fact that there is NO diversity. Then, those who have been given discernment will realize that the Bible Scriptures are totally misused and twisted to support a charismatic movement + legalism, and not to represent the True Gospel and the Good News it brings. They cannot reconcile seemingly “contradictory” passages. Focus is on the outward person and on “experience” rather than true discernment and knowledge. They occasionally invite teachers from non-denominational churches to appear as though they are diverse. But the truth is it makes them uncomfortable, especially if the message is challenging their passive spiritual state. It is evident that the ideal objective for this club-like gathering is that everyone will get married to a Slavic person (hence, “Slavic church”) in order to multiply their Slavic congregation, which gathers with numerous other only-Slavic Pentecostal congregations across the US. Their beliefs and teachings have elements of New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) which is a movement that combines elements of Pentecostalism and evangelicalism with members or leaders often calling themselves prophets. Also, include elements of the Word-of-Faith (false prosperity, health and wealth) doctrine, plus “little-gods” doctrine (distorted view of God and themselves). Many people do not even realize they are being taught something that goes against the very word of God, because many pastors are twisting the Word and taking scriptures out of context. They have put trust in men they’ve been listening to for decades instead of seeking the Truth for themselves. Underlying Problem: uneducated/unbiblical teaching, deified leadership = brainwash, mind control, manipulation, judgment, false teaching, cultural division, subtle deception… those just the tip of the iceberg. Yes, you will find some people to connect with and even have an enjoyable time after the services; your ears, eyes, and bellies will be full, but your soul is in peril. Run away, don’t walk! And don’t look back! Don’t get sucked in!

5 /5 Liliya Zhuk: This is my home church and am very blessed to be a part of this community that serves God together! We have awesome Friday night youth with some fellowship afterwards to connect with other believers. There is also Tuesday night prayers which unite us as one. Incredible people are a part of this church!
