1 /5 Thomas Heotzler: I bought a 2006 Toyota Tundra from Nimeys in January of 2024 for around $13000. I was assured it was a good truck that was taken care of. It had passed inspection and from my untrained, non-mechanical eye, things seemed alright.
Fast forward to 2025 when I went to get it inspected. Keep in mind, I only drove it maybe 4000 miles. Heres what it needed to pass inspection: 2 headlights, a rack a pinion assembly, 2 tire rod replacements, a ball joint, power steering hose and assembly, a complete exhaust system overhaul including a catalytic converter, two o2 sensors, two coil springs, a new taillight assembly, and a leaf spring. In total, the cost of these repairs came to $6,824.67, just to pass inspection.
In total, for a 19 year old used truck, I have spent almost $20,000. I confess that I feel like an absolute fool to have bought this truck. I feel I was deceived by Nimeys, especially considering that the check engine light for the cat converter came on only a month or so after purchasing it. Im certain that truck would not have passed inspection back in 2024 had it not been inspected by the ones trying to sell it. I cannot in any way recommend this repair shop.
