George Montagner I attend an AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) meeting here called The Atlantic Group, which is the sister meeting to The Pacific Group of California, going on 7 years or so. The interior of this Church is stunning, beautiful, awesome and amazing! Literally and all at the same time! One of the largest AA meetings in New York. I have not attended mass here yet, but the Church is very accommodating to our meetings, which number in the hundreds of members. I recommend visiting this Church for its beauty and Im sure Mass here is just as fulfilling.

Rachael Wright Even if you aren’t Catholic I suggest going to mass to see this place being used in the format for which it was built. I’ve been to major futbol stadiums in Europe and you’re always stunned by the size, but the fullest experience comes from seeing it full of people, unified on a single thing. In this case, it’s the Eucharist, but don’t worry - you don’t have to take communion, and if you’re not Catholic you shouldn’t - so just stay in your pew and enjoy the music.

Take pictures of this magnificent Catholic Church. Enjoy the gorgeous interior decoration of one of the finest churches in NYC.

Amanda Corinne Small Meta Church was a gem of a find. I felt so welcomed and at home upon arriving my first day (alone mind you). The messages are so powerful and I always walk away feeling like a better person or someone who can make a difference because of them. Going to Meta on Sundays have become something I look forward to each week as I know that no matter how I show up, I always leave with a sense of fulfillment, clarity, and happiness. Ricky and Krista are two of the most welcoming, thoughtful, and bright people ive encountered here in the city and owe it to them for all they do for our neighborhood and being there when I need it most. I highly recommend Meta to all!

Sooji Kim Have you ever been disappointed and hurt by the church, afraid that you would be hurt and judged again, but you are still seeking for a loving community and wanting to reconnect with God? Then, you should try this one! I’ve been searching for a church that I can find a supportive and accepting community in New York City for a while. Tried out +10 churches in Manhattan and found the River. It is a place you can ask difficult question without being afraid of getting judged or reprimanded. You don’t have to hide your authentic self. You can discover a new way to approach the faith and realize God’s deep love and presence for you. You can find a very diverse and friendly community and hang out with them during many events. Would highly recommend!

Dane Martel The most beautiful church Ive seen In a long time!!! Absolutely breathtaking architecture on the inside. Wonderful views and statues. Paintings and stain glass windows. Anyone can appreciate the beauty. Came for señor de los milagros. A peruvian saintday festival and had a great time. Its great to just come in and sit and close your eyes for a break. I used to go to fordham across the street and just pop by for a breather. Have fond memories. Theres no bathroom though which they could do.
