Joannah Denise I finally found a salon that knows how to care for my coily curls! They do it all here - blowouts/silk press, wash and go, color, cut, braids…whatever you need! My experience was awesome from start to finish. I arrived a few minutes early and they promptly started with my service while talking me through the entire process. Conveniently located less than 10 minutes from my office, Hair Rules is now my go to hair salon. The salon space is clean and modern, the staff is personable and professional, and the service that I received - TOP NOTCH! Hair Rule was referred to me and I highly recommend them for your hair care needs!

Julia Megibow Dolson I will try to make this review short and sweet as I know long one can be daunting, but let me tell you that I feel like I have FINALLY found my new salon and stylist in the Upper East Side. As we all know, especially those of us that color our hair, finding a good salon and a good stylist can be quite a journey. I had been to several other salons in the neighborhood and some I would stay at for a few months, but then something would happen that would cause me to look elsewhere. I came in on a Sunday and Giuseppe was my stylist. I said to him only a few simple things - half head of highlights and blended and he went to work. i dont know how he did it or if he is a psychic, but it was like he read my mind and gave me exactly what I wanted and I AM THRILLED. I feel like only really good and amazing stylists can take a little information and make it amazing. He also has such a strong passion for hair coloring and the art of it. He thoroughly enjoys his work and making people happy by giving them exactly what they want and you can tell as it was very much reflected in his work and personality. Also the Living room hair salon is HUGE and just beautiful! I dont think I have been to a salon that clean, organized and spacious since I lived in California! Seriously - if you want a wonderful experience with wonderful stylists - look no further as The Living Room Hair Salon is IT.

Kily A Wong Great service and results every time. I always get single color process, and my hairstylist Senait provides a great experience that goes above and beyond. She is super friendly, shares lots of hair advice, and even makes me a tea while I wait. The blowout looks really nice and lasts a few days. Glad to be a regular.

Gina Novello Just got my hair done at this salon in NYC, and it was awesome! The stylists there are super nice and really know what theyre doing. I left with a great haircut and felt fantastic. The place has a chill vibe, and they use really good products. If you need a good haircut, definitely check this place out!

Bianca Nieves Auggie is literally hands down the most amazing with hair extensions ! I barely ever let another stylist do my hair because I’m a hairstylist myself but honestly hands down the up most best experience ! He understood exactly what i was looking for in terms of extensions & styling and gave me exactly what i needed. I followed him from dry bar , hair bar and now studio 34. Please book if you ladies are looking to get slayed for the holidays or honestly FOREVER ! Your hands are gold baby !!!!!

Their attention is superior; they really listen to what you want and deliver exactly the results you expect. Love it, love it—definitely will be back!

Cathalina Shitmz I cant rave enough about Erika or this salon.LOVE LOVE LOVE. Erika has a great sense of color and is gifted in designing a hair style that will bring out your true beauty, You can trust her to do what YOU ask and she will offer you her opinion without being pushy, Her color correction skills were phenomenal. I had the best hair color ever, Red is a very difficult color to remove, but she did a wonderful job with the color correction. I needed a new color and a new haircut. My cut and color are perfect. Her blow dry has lasted 3 days, the longest ever. Without question,I have recommended Erica to many friends (and stangers) and they have all been very happy.

Vincent M 2nd time going here and was absolutely AMAZED with the results. Ordered a cut and Digital Perm with Celine and wasn’t disappointed in the slightest! Celine was very nice, professional, and informative with my hair, especially letting me know that a digital perm wasn’t necessary and instead helped me with a down perm and charged me with that instead! While cost may be a little high, what you’re paying for isn’t necessarily the haircut, but the quality and professionalism that comes with it. the staff here are very courteous and kind! They offer refreshments of your choosing if you are thirsty and also sell hair products that will help maintain the longevity of the haircut you got! If you have a hairstyle in mind, make sure to have reference photos/videos so that the stylists may help you achieve your desired hair style! TL;DR - An amazing place with amazing hairstylist and staff! While expensive, it’s worth the cost. 10/10 and make sure you book with CELINE! Shes absolutely wonderful! Can’t wait to go again!

jannina guerrero Beyond incredible experience. I’ve had trouble finding someone who understands what I want and is able to match what I want in real life. Duneisy was able to accomplish this. I felt comfortable and heard. I received advice and felt very pretty after leaving the salon. Esther was very nice and helpful too. Everyone in the salon was welcoming and made this process run smoothly. Def worth the time and money. Will come back soon and bring my sister.
