5 /5 Amy Knisely: Dani is the best hair stylist Ive been to in my entire life. Not only is she an expert when it comes to color, cut, and style, but she is able to help her customers find what works best for them. Dani has helped me through some incredibly dramatic hair transformations and each time, my hair looked stunning. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

5 /5 Corrie Raulli: Dani is exceptionally talented with a very diverse clientele. She is able to make my hair exactly right, whether I choose it to be curly or straight. She has an edge and an intuition that are so developed that I always am able to give her the freedom to do what she thinks is best and it turns out incredible every time. It makes the experience relaxing and fun. Her eye for detail and precision are unmatched in my experience around Syracuse and beyond. I get compliments on my hair, but I can’t take credit, except that I made the best decision to have Dani. She also volunteers her time and does hair for those less fortunate! She is truly a gem of a person and I love her!

5 /5 Heather Mooney: As a longtime resident of Boston and recent newcomer to CNY, I was a bit nervous about leaving my beloved hairdressers and finding another one in Syracuse, especially with my wavy/curly hair. While I let my hair go as long as possible, the time had come to take the plunge. A quick Google search pointed me to Dani. To be honest, I didn’t really know what to expect - her reviews were excellent but weren’t super curly specific, and I had barely explored Syracuse at all, much less the salon/beauty scene in the city. However, from the moment I walked into the door, Dani was truly amazing (and so adorable and sweet!). The building and decor/aesthetic of "The Fortress" is so much fun (in her studio space and her coworkers). Danis energy is infectious, engaging, and she’s incredibly generous — not just with her witty conversation, kindness, and admirable hair/beauty skills, but with her wine as well :) While I’ve only been in the area for ~8 months, this was definitely one of the best outings I have had so far. I really felt welcome to The Fortress and the neighborhood, which is great as a mid-30s newcomer excited to meet people familiar with the area. While the experience itself was a treat, my hair looks amazing! I asked for the nearly impossible task of maintaining length while increasing volume and she did just that. My curls are much happier these days. Thank you Dani!!

5 /5 Jen Durgan: Dani has been my only hair stylist for the past five years. Ive had a standing appointment with her monthly. Shes always professional and is so personable and fun, with a ton of energy. Im a terrible introvert and ridiculously socially awkward, and she makes me comfortable every time I sit in her chair. She does AMAZING color and awesome cuts. I cant recommend her enough!
