1 /5 Kate Schermerhorn: I am furious that my life was put in danger by Albany Avenue Truck and Trailers lack of care. They installed extenders on the rear 4 tires of my camper, but they installed them incorrectly, didnt tighten them properly, and shoved the extenders into the tires carelessly, causing both my left rear tires to blow out at once on Interstate 90 (where there was no shoulder), just a day after picking up the camper from Albany Avenue. Thankfully no one was hurt, but it was a terrifying, cost me a fortune plus 4 hours on the side of the highway, and it was 100% the fault of their carelessness. When I tried to contact them to tell them what happened, and at least get a refund, they didnt even bother to get back in touch.

1 /5 19 Main: Warning: Stay Away from Albany Ave Truck My experience with Albany Ave Truck & Trailer was nothing short of a nightmare. Be cautious and think twice before considering their services. We brought our truck in for a transmission cooler line repair, which would cost approx. $2k. However, Albany Ave Truck turned it into a whopping $10,000 bill by tacking on unauthorized repairs for breaks and routers. The owners attitude is appalling. I would expect any shop, before performing a $10,000 repair, to obtain approval and confirm the customer has the funds prior to any work. When I questioned the exorbitant charges, he callously admitted to operating without bothering to seek customer approval. His exact words were, "I dont have time or the manpower to call the customer for approval before we do any work on a truck." To make matters worse, when I tried to discuss the astronomical bill, the owners response was a blunt ultimatum: pay in full or they would keep my truck. No room for negotiation, no attempt at customer service – just a hang-up. Save yourself the headache and steer clear of this garage. I wouldnt wish this experience on anyone. See attached Invoice

5 /5 Gary Koen: Saturday afternoon the check engine light came on in our RV. They were not open but come Monday morning Larry hooked the RV up and read the codes, ordered the parts. When the parts came in Larry jumped on it and got us on the road again. Larry and Mike went out of their way to get us back on the road. Couldnt ask for better service and at a fair price.

1 /5 Upstate Services Group: Stay away from this garage! I was surprised how they have a five-star rating, until I tried posting a negative review and noticed how they get pulled down the next day. They are pro in removing negative reviews, and assume many have been forcibly removed by this shop.

1 /5 Joseph Scott: Mike is a very nice & knowledgeable guy but terrible with communication & follow through. Anticipating them being busy & booked, I first called him about putting a plow on my truck mid September. He said they could do it, though he would have to fit a universal mount on the truck. The next 2½ months went by with me calling to check in with him every few weeks because I didnt want to pester him and he NEVER returned a call or message. Not once. Finally he told me to have it there for Monday November 27th. He said he would need it for "a few days". He was well aware that that truck was my daily driver and I was using alternate transportation while he had it. After 3 days I called, left a message for him to call me back, which once again, he didnt. So the afternoon of the 4th day, I called and got Mike. He said someone had called in sick and he was behind. He had not worked on it yet. I asked if he had a time frame for getting it done and he wouldnt say. Just told me that if the truck wasnt there he couldnt work on it. So, I left it. Trying to be patient & understanding, I did not call and pester him for well over a week. December 11th, two weeks after I dropped my truck off for "a couple days", I swung by in person just to find my truck sitting out behind the garage with a dead battery and no work even started on it. Mike was not there, but the guy at the counter just gave me a blank look and said he didnt know anything about it when I asked. I had him give me my key and I pulled my truck out of there. I tried very hard to be patient and reasonable, especially since Mike had been highly recommended to me, but obviously they arent interested in my business and didnt care at all how long they kept a vehicle that I use every day. Im sure they dont even care that I pulled my truck out of there or that Im writing this review. Maybe Mike didnt want to do the job on my truck to begin with. I wish he had just said so instead of wasting my time. Ive since gone and purchased a plow truck and have no intention of ever trying to do business with Albany Ave Truck & Trailer again.
