1 /5 C Welinder: We have been with Pure for six years. We were initially optimistic about PURE Insurance and even referred friends to them, believing they would stand by their customers. Unfortunately, our experience has been nothing short of disappointing.
PURE denied a valid claim after a contractor excavated our slope and caused extensive damage to our trees, vegetation, and private retaining walls. Instead of accepting responsibility, PURE falsely labeled the situation as "earth movement" — a clear misrepresentation of the facts — to wrongfully deny coverage.
At the same time, PURE has imposed massive premium increases. Last year, they raised our premium by nearly 30%. Half year through this year, they raised it by additional 35%, after an inflated home appraisal they arranged themselves. These actions show a clear pattern: PURE looks for excuses to deny claims while aggressively inflating premiums.
