Nike Koehne Disappointing. I really wanted to like my experience at De Oasis, especially since there are so many positive reviews. But unfortunately, my nails just did not turn out right. I do want to highlight, though, that the prices are really good and everyone was friendly. The lady that did my nails was not very thorough when removing my cuticles, cut me once and did not apply the polish evenly. I feel like I could have given myself a better manicure than this.

Nilah Pettus I actually come here all the time and am usually very happy with my nails, the service, and the ambiance. But Ive been disappointed by the same nail tech for the third time. Unfortunately, she did not give me what I asked for (and paid for) and rushed through the process resulting in a poorly done manicure. My nails had grown very long from my previous sets so I asked for them to be cut shorter while still keeping their almond shape. You can see by the photos (more specifically my left hand, my right looks fine) they are not almond shaped, they are poorly cut, and they are not even. I really do love coming here and love the work by the other nail techs. I think this nail tech has a lot of potential but additional training and patience is needed to ensure this doesnt happen again.

Stella Mooy I’ve given this place multiple chances and that’s on me… I always get the same color (N5) tips with powder and today I noticed it looked sooo different and translucent. I kindly asked them if something changed and they gaslit me and said no I’m wrong… I told them it didn’t look like the sample or a picture (attached) from last time and they didn’t care or offer to change it… instead they just talked about me and rushed me to pay & leave. I will NOT be returning.

C. Delilah “Ladi Dadi” I got the Gel-X, and the woman who did it did a fantastic job! It was pretty pricey, but I would indeed stop by again. I rate it four stars because they dont, well, at least they didnt offer the gel-x specific color polish. And only the regular nail polish colors were offered and used. So, I dont consider it a full gel-x service without using the attended polish for it.

I finally found an institute in NYC where, as well as having an extremely precise eye for detail, the staff were extremely friendly and did everything they could to make you feel good. They even offer a drink before you get started. Thank you for your kindness and professionalism. You only have to see the before and after photos to understand that this institute is brilliant! The french manicure is perfect and I can tell, im french!

Irina Kurdiani I’ve been coming to Zara Nails NYC for over three years now, and every manicure and pedicure I have gotten has been top notch. They last without chipping for 4+ weeks. All of the nail technicians are excellent, focused and pay exceptional attention to details. The salon is spotless and the staff is friendly and accommodating. I come into the city from Upstate and it’s 100% worth the trip. Cannot recommend this place enough!!

Veronica DaSilva I had the Fiberglass Strengthening Gel Manicure with Natalia. This was THE BEST manicure Ive ever had in my life. Natalia took her time and was super attentive to every little detail. This was my first time getting a fiberglass gel manicure and I did have a previous gel polish on my nails from another salon. She removed the old gel polish with ease and care. If youre looking for special treatment and want amazing nails, this is the place to go. It does take an hour and 45 minutes, but its absolutely worth the time. I will be going back here!!

Gail Segal Quite a treat to have a mani pedi in a private setting. No harsh odors. Only one other client. Great customer service and remarkable attention to detail. The photo may seem basic but if you saw my nails 2 months earlier, the difference is tremendous. They were perfect for my son’s wedding and 2 1/2 weeks later, at a board meeting with 30 year old women in high fashion, I received a number of compliments.

She pays special attention to the cuticle using an electronic filer to remove the excess skin around the nail bed. As a result, each nail looks so well trimmed and perfect. The technique is called European manicure. No more unnecessary cuts from a nipper! My nails always look so shiny, glowy and clean and the manicure lasts a loooong time. I’m never getting a “regular” gel manicure ever again. This is a game changer.

Brooke Feingold I highly recommend Art Up Nail Studio and Jessy in particular. Jessy is a talented nail artist who is a perfectionist. I have been seeing her for over two years and my nails always look pristine. They also last upwards of 6 weeks without chipping which is incredible. I only see her for simple or moderate designs so I can’t speak to extensions or complex designs, but she always executes what I ask for. She has done magnetic, chrome, ombré and French beautifully for me. It’s best to come prepared with a design in mind and photo inspiration, but Jessy always helps me choose when I’m undecided.

Britney Mason I have been coming to Art Up Nail monthly for the last year and have been very happy with their services. The salon is located in the Sola Salon Studios and is very neat and orderly. I have been going to Jessy B for hard gel nails for many months and she always does a very thorough job and my nails always last 4 weeks. I don’t do a lot of designs but I have seen some other customers get more intricate, complex designs and they are stunning. Easy to book via online portal and I like that you can text them to make changes to your appt and/or send inspo pics and ask which service will align with what you want. Great color selection and they have the latest trendy nail techniques/accessories.

T. B. $260 - Detailed nail art took 3.5 hours (instead of 1.5-2 hours it usually takes) and nail art came out sloppy // there was polish stuck on my hands. I told Gail (manager??) but she said too bad I should have paid $10 extra for a senior nail artist even though when I texted her my desired design she didn’t mention that it required a senior nail artist… Place smells like polish with no ventilation. Do not recommend.

Elly The people were nice but unfortunately the nails were not up to my standards whatsoever. I asked for a basic gel x fill which back home at my regular nail salon would’ve taken the lady 40 minutes but it took 90 minutes here. My nails are now super thick and uneven which may be hard to tell from the pictures. When it came time to pay they charged me $71.40 for a FILL which is a ridiculous price when I’ve gotten a fill for $50 that was much better in Boston which is arguably a more expensive city. They taped over the price for a gel fill on their price board but I could see through it and it said $49 so I’m unsure how the price changed to $70. I’ve genuinely never left a review good or bad but I chose this place over the others because of its higher reviews and I’m completely disappointed with the work.

Sterile instruments and single-use materials are used to ensure safety. Any design could be brought to life as nail artists here have won world championships in nail design and art. I am EXTREMELY picky about my nails and would genuinely be so comfortable with any nail tech at One L. A E I had an absolutely incredible experience during my appointment. The appointment booking process online was seamless and easy to maneuver. Prior to my appointment I received confirmation emails and a text to ensure that all details were provided. The building was easy to navigate. The suite is beautifully decorated, clean and very inviting. Staff were prompt to greet me and coat check my belonging. Though I arrived a few minutes early my pedicure station was ready and my pedicurist was welcoming and ready to begin. There were complimentary beverages available and a large television with Netflix shows playing to provide entertainment. Though this was my first Russian pedicure ever it certainly won’t be my last. The service was very thorough and sanitary. My manicurist was very gentle and made sure that my gel pedicure was immaculate before showing me the final result. The original color that I requested wasn’t available but my pedicurist worked with me to swiftly find an alternative that matched my nails almost perfectly. During my appointment the front desk concierge kindly asked for my permission before begging to take pictures and videos which I greatly appreciated. I booked my next appointment upon check out and can’t wait to return. Thank you ladies!

Bruna Petrillo Since I discovered this place from a mutual friend last year, it has become my go to. I will never go back from Russian manicures! They last a month, never chip, are so expertly and carefully done and always look perfect! The girls who work there, Daria at the front desk, and Diana the technician, are so helpful and kind. And the bonus is I always get a glass of wine while doing my manicure :) have recommended this to many girlfriends and highly highly recommend to you as well!

Yuri Choi I recently visited a small nail salon in my neighborhood for the first time (on Tuesday morning) and was impressed by their thorough service and budget-friendly manicure. I decided to stop doing gel manicure for my nail health - asked for a gel removal and a regular manicure with clear touch. Im satisfied with my natural colors. Gel manicure removal was $10 and regular manicure was $18 which are pretty budget friendly in my neighborhood. Got a little massage on my shoulder and hands during this visit. This place is a bit small but clean and cozy. The staff was welcoming and attentive, ensuring I was comfortable throughout. The only downside was the temperature, which could have been cooler. Overall, its a good neighborhood salon worth trying. Will try pedi next time!

Kelli Youngman Diana is incredible! I was so impressed by how meticulous she was with my nails. I live 2 blocks away and so happy to find a great nail tech! The salon itself is low frills, but I don’t mind at all. The price here was $25 cheaper than neighboring salons for a hard gel manicure.

Aarya Nukala this place is a hit or miss depending on the nail tech. once in a while they do amazingly, but i’ve had multiple experiences where my nail tech repeatedly makes me bleed, doesn’t achieve the shape i asked for, or has poor technique with SNS powder. depending on the day the vibes in there feel stressful. i’ve gone on and off for multiple years but at this point have to call it quits

Emily Guelli It was okay, it was nice of them to get me in last minute, but I wish they had parafin wax. I did just get home though from my mani/pedi and the gel on my fingers is wrinkled. they do tell you after paying that you need to pay 20% gratuity, and it isnt included. I think if youre going to force people to tip it should just be included in the price. for $75 (general regular polish pedicure and regular gel manicure) and then a forced $15 tip on top ($90 total) in my opinion was a little expensive given that the gel is not smooth. Its a fine nail salon if you just need something quick. Bring cash as they charge extra to use card. (thankfully i had cash on me)

N Carter Found this little whole in the wall place and was SHOCKED at how beautiful my nails turned out. -quick. I went during lunch break -professional -great prices. Normally i pay $58 for dip powder, i paid $49 (cash price) Its not fancy by any means and its not very big inside but they do a realllly nice job.

Evelna The nail ladies that serviced me yesterday did a great job on both my hands and feet. I commend them for fixing my broken toe nail and making it look so natural and perfect. I didn’t get the nail ladies names however it was the middle aged Chinese ladies (one with glasses and short hair, and the other with longer hair but tattooed eyeliner). They kept me company as they did my nails & they stayed past the nail shop closing time to service me and did not rush the process even though it was past the time for them to go home. I hope they are compensated well for their labor.

lu gonzález The cliff notes: I went in for a last minute Mani Pedi on a Saturday night (7pm) for that reason alone you should go lol their availability is great. The staff is AMAZING. Jessica and Marisol were so wonderful, very precise and did beautiful work. Prices are very fair, Id say you get really great value for your money. Because it was last minute and I wasnt wearing the proper shoes, I messed up my beautiful perfect Mani Pedi. (will address this at the end) I had taken two steps out the door when I realized so I came back in. Mind you, it was 9 oclock and they were pretty much closed. I had already paid, had no cash on me. They welcomed me back in and I kid you not redid my entire manicure in like 10-15min. It looks amazing still, considering everything. And they couldve easily turned me away. They also ended up gifting me a pair of flipflops because of the no cash situation. They were incredible. I needed nails for an event Im going tomorrow and my nails look so pretty!!! Im beyond ecstatic with my choice (I chose for proximity from my hotel, didnt even read reviews first) and the whole service/experience was amazing. And yes they offer complimentary drinks (water, tea, wine) Its a 10/10 for me. The only small nitpick is that they charge like $2 extra for the fast drying topcoat. I dont know much about nails and I had never been asked for this type of surcharge before, so it didnt really click that it was important (really important) My advice is that all the packages (I got sea spa) should have the fast drying stuff already included/priced in and if youre going to do that to maybe offer it as a "fast drying manicure/pedicure" from the start (like we have "gel manicure" now) just so its more clear to clueless customers like myself. After 30 minutes flapping my hands around the polish still wasnt quite set so I ruined them (just a little bit) once again. Of course its my own fault for not getting the stuff but I truly didnt know it was needed. (You can see the imperfections in the photos but they were sooo perfect, and for such a quick fix you wouldnt really know!) Anyway that has nothing to do with the staff, those are the business decisions taken by the owners. So thats my review. I did love it, the staff, atmosphere, that gorgeous light fixture and the massage chairs were superb. The slow drying stuff sucked, but thats like 90% my fault lol. If youre debating about going, just go! Just remember to get the fast drying stuff or be prepared to sit there for a loong time (and even then ..lol) anyway, thank you to everyone!!!

Stephen OBrien I have been coming here since the salon opened in another location almost 10 years ago, in the neighborhood. They moved to this location a few years ago and the service is consistent. Keep in mind that each technician has there individual strengths, so it may take a few times to identify which technician you like. Give them a chance if is your first time. The big upside is that the owner manager tries very hard to make the space clean, welcoming and comfortable. They offer you a beverage if you get more than one service, which is a nice add on. Water, hot tea etc. Truth be told I like the wine. Whether you are a tourist or local please support this local well run business and don’t judge them too hard if they are busy during a peak hour of the day.

Kim Fergie I have been visiting this place for a year now. I did my nails on Saturday and on Sunday the nail polish started to chipping, by Thursday all of the were off. I went back to ask for a fix and since I go there every 15 days or so I thought this was just a simple request. Surprisedly the owner said that I took my nail polish on purpose and whatever service she would charge me the regular cost. She said she did not believe me and even the person who did my nails denied, he said that I wasn’t there on Sunday which really made feel extremely Uncomfortable. I am putting 1 start because there is some great people working there but the owner manners on treating costumer is horrible.

The spa had a great selection of colors to choose from, and I felt well taken care of throughout the entire process. Ema Sepulveda ***Edited***: Theyre stating below that "I was told to allow my nails to dry on the second trip but I only allowed a few seconds in the machine and removed them" which is NOT TRUE. I inserted my hands in the UV machine TWICE for a full minute for each coat when they "fixed" my nails. Not sure why theyre gaslighting me but I fully did as instructed by my technician and the manager, who told me to insert them twice into the machine. Normally I wouldnt be this upset but its actually unbelievable (and so disrespectful) they keep blaming me for their poor quality work. Dont visit this QQ location. I used to love this QQ location, but the quality has gone way downhill. I had to go in twice because of air bubbles in my nails. The manager, told me I had 7 days to come back if anything went wrong, but when I returned just two days later to fix the issue, she blamed me, saying I “didn’t dry them for long enough.” My technician, Monica, never instructed me to insert my nails into the UV machine twice at any point, so how was I supposed to know? After they “fixed” the bubbles, they reappeared the very next day. Almost $80 down the drain. Definitely not the level of service or quality I used to expect from this salon. They were nice about the situation but unfortunately, I won’t be coming back.
