Victoria Horne V and her daughter are both excellent. Booking was easy and highly responsive. I went in for small honey-blonde knotless box braids, and I love them. The prices here are fairer than those of others in the area. V is so lovely; she even offered to grab me something from the store, and her daughter was a pleasure to talk with while she was doing my hair.

Joan Doria Robby Brown had been my guy for several years at a well known salon. I switched to him because I liked his energy and felt he could help update this mid-fifties lady. Now, hes struck out on his own! Robbys hung out his own shingle, right in Fall Creek.✂️ It was never a question to follow him. He knows how to work with my fine, thin hair, helping me look good vs frumpy - sometimes Ive been given an edgy (for me) look for a fun workable update. Plus, he does my eyebrows. My teen son sees Robby, too. We both feel Robby listens and understands what a growing kid wants. Thats not always easy to find and we had to kiss a few frogs first. When I said that the well known salon was closing my son asked slightly worriedly, "is Robby still around?" When I said yes, hes got his very own salon, my son replied "Good. As long as I can still see Robby." Teen endorsement is gold. Robbys smart, creative, intuitive, polite and kind. I look forward to many years of artistry and conversation with him.

Edivic Perez Went to this salon for the 1st time yesterday and I’ll be coming back 100%. Johanna took her home with my hair and making sure it was absolutely perfect. I have very long curly hair and you made sure that every start was perfectly straight before I walked out that door. I called Johanna before hand to see if I needed an appointment since I was planning on coming in an hour before they closed, and to my surprise, I found out she stays late as long as you have an appointment. I ended up leaving about 4 hours after they closed. Johanna is a dedicated worker that deserves all of the business she gains.

Sophia Jessie is the best! I’ve been getting my hair cut from her for a couple years on and off, but recently, I purchased a wig that needed some customization. I knew she would get the job done, and she exceeded my expectations! My wig is more personalized now and it just feels like me. She will listen to you and fully consider what it is you’d like. She is also very friendly and sweet and down to earth. I enjoy our conversations when I go!

Ive moved around a lot over the past few years and recently was able to visit her after a few years of living in the Midwest and it was a great pleasure to see her again and enjoy having my hair look great after a long 8 months of growing out a short bob (not cute). The shop is adorable, right on the Ithaca Commons! I also want to give a shoutout to the hair washing sink...easily the most comfortable place Ive ever rested my neck to have a hair wash! She cares so much about her clients comfort that she had it specially made.

Cassie Tirrito I’ve lived in Ithaca for around 8 years and have been to a few salons in the area, and I always find myself coming back to Hare & Bristle. Danielle’s attention to detail and her eye for aesthetics are unreal! Dinesh Ghimire Went there for the first time, the old Man’s are good socially as well as with the scissors. The price is also better than others in the town, $19. I won’t say the guys are very stylish but get the job done for normal haircut.

Travis Virgadamo Moved back to Ithaca years ago and started going to the Supercuts-style chain in the mall for a fresh cut. Basically, I was paying to get a buzz cut from someone just out of beauty school. My wife finally gave me an ultimatum to find a different place…she was embarrassed to be seen in public with me for about two weeks after each “super” cut. On a tip from a friend of a friend, I stopped by the Corners Barber Shop. As soon as I walked in, I knew this was my spot: Old school vibe, no shelves filled with hair products I would be given a high pressure sale pitch to buy, and just enough NY sports-themed decor to indicate they knew their stuff. I was welcomed warmly by Al, the owner of the shop, and had some good conversation about sports and life. The first cut was great and most importantly, wife-approved. It has been about four years since that first cut. Each cut has been just as good and the conversation and friendships just keep getting better. Al and his crew are not only top notch barbers, but also top notch people. If you are looking for a new spot, come by the Corners.

The atmosphere, the community, and the quality cuts all contribute to the reason this barber shop has been the staple of men’s haircuts in the area for so long. My experience as a customer of Mikey David’s shop has always been positive. I have asked for several different types of haircuts and they never fail to deliver. When walking into Mikey David’s, I walk in with confidence in the barbers and leave feeling confident in myself. They are a Great group of folks who will cut your hair right and make you a pal in the community while doing it.

Jack van Wesenbeeck Genuinely the worst haircut I think I’ve ever gotten and I’m not even trying to be dramatic. Not sure how any barber could look at this and think it looks even remotely ok. The cherry on top is that this place is cash only which is irritating.

Ari did an excellent job with my nails and carefully made sure each nail was shaped and painted perfectly. Elysia Nelson Being new to town, I was nervous to try a new salon. On top of that, I have very long hair that Ive always been anxious to cut, as most stylists take off much more than I ask for. As soon as I was greeted by Morgan, I felt totally at ease. She was extremely warm, professional, and really listened to what I wanted. Avery Mae There is no denying that they do good hair here which is why I came back twice. However, I would regularly hear them gossip about people and clients as soon as they exited the shop. Im sure they talk about me the minute I walk out the door. Usually, when I get my hair done it last for 8-12 weeks, however the last time it barely lasted a month so I decided between that and the gossip there is really no need to come back.

She has been in Ithaca for a long time and has a good report in her community.

Sage Niver Store is full of affordable, pre-streched hair coming ANY AND EVERY color. She also has marley hair, hair for twist, butterfly locs, crochet. You name it she got it! Also THE BEST glazee I have ever used for braiding and my edges. Overall her store is amazing, she is amazing and her beauty supplies are so much more cheaper than that of other stores in Ithaca ($3.99 for a double pack of pre-stretched hair!!!!!) Also she has various eyelashes that are LONGGG for anyone into those!

Melissa Perri This girl right here!! It’s so hard to find a hair stylist who is a girls girl!! She has given me the best advice with my hair concerns. I just recently started going to her after having the WORST hair experience ever at another salon. She’s helping me get my hair back to where I want it without any drastic changes. She did not make me feel bad for my lack of hair care or inexperience. She gave me so much helpful advice to benefit only me. she wasn’t just there for a paycheck. I get very nervous and anxious when it comes to my hair and salons because my hair is the worst type-dry, frizzy, coiled, damaged and on top on that, its thin and breaks easily. I never had good experiences with salons before but I can safely say this was the best experience yet! I had a keratin treatment done and my hair is so straight and so silky, two things it has never been before. I would definitely go back.
