Fausel Family As a photographer, it is important for me to have a great makeup artist on hand. JUJU is my girl. Her makeup technique is beautiful, skin looks flawless, lashes look plump. LOVE her work. Just had a personal service done with JUJU yesterday, I got lash extensions. AMAZING quality. Looks like they are my own lashes! Always recommend her to brides and anyone in need of facial and body needs.

Loreto Molina Juju provided an excellent Brazilian wax experience. She was incredibly friendly, making me feel comfortable throughout. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the results were smooth. Highly recommended!

Racquel Riccardi Redheads can have lusciously thick, curly, long lashes, who knew?!! Justine is the complete package: a professional with major hints of hilarity, kindness & expertise. Great place to go for an all-around pick-me-up!

Susan Greene Im one of those people who just wants a haircut, with short notice, and with people who will listen to what I need. Im willing to risk a choppy cut with a really young stylist, and luckily Ive only gotten perhaps 2 of those, which I consider a pretty good track record, given that Ive been going here at least 8 years (thats a lot of cuts for someone with short hair). Every stylist has been a joy to talk to (and Im a 50% talker, not silent, but not overly chatty) and I walk out happy with my look. My last four (five?) cuts have been with Danielle (150% happy!) and Im now a total convert. I got bored of just a midlife-lady blah cut, and shes been carefully taking my hair into an asymmetrical shape. She listens to all my concerns. The vibe in the place is relaxed, and all the stylists seem to get along great, (or they hide their strife well, if there is any). Its clean, its convenient, its affordable, and Im happy. Now that I can book online, its even better. It occurred to me that for a service that makes my life SO much easier, I should go online and tell them they are awesome. So, Cost Cutter stylists -- You are awesome! Thank you for many, many years of great cuts and relaxed conversation.

Patricia Hall I paid $300 to have my hair colored a bright white like Helen Mirrens. I was assured that it was no problem . 3hrs. later, I had Platinum blonde hair, and was told that , that was the best that I could expect in one sitting. I feel I have been mislead. I, was also very rudely rushed out the door with chemicals down both sides of my face and neck. I walked all the way home before I found out about it. When I spoke to the manager of Supercuts and my colorist s supervisor, I found out that she had deliberately colored my hair Platinum blonde. She picked what is called a "Platinum Card" so , she deliberately ignored my wishes. They refuse to fix it. To be perfectly honest, after all this, I wouldnt trust anyone from either Cost Cutters or Supercuts to touch my hair. Also ,I could have bought a box of Feria hair dye for about $15 and gotten the exact same color.

M Kee Tanner was very upbeat and interacting. He did a fantastic job on my hair cut, listening to exactly what I wanted. I will be recommending him to friends and family.

Zaira Sylvain I had an amazing experience with Kisha. I’m from NYC so it has been hard finding a hair braider in the Ithaca area. She did a great job and she works timely with a great a personality. I am so happy to have discovered Hanunahs Salon and Nakisha as a stylist. 10/10 recommend to anyone in the area.

Baird Bankovic This barber shop is good at doing hair cuts quickly. Every time I have gone there over the past year, they finish in less than 10 minutes, which is convenient for me. They really seem to know what they are doing for my short-hair mens haircut, and the quality is quite good. I have seen comments on them not being very nice - I can understand those comments, but just understand that you are there for a product, not an experience. Really love this barber shop! Location is great, hours are great!

Murat Kurtcephe I have the fastest haircut in my life. Possibly the whole thing was around 5-6 minutes. Yes the price is reasonable (14$ + tip), but I would probably go somewhere else if you want to get a little bit more detailed attention.

patrick bastian Ive been getting my haircut here since early 2000s. Ive never had a bad haircut. Ive tried a couple of different places with mediocre results. I dont waste my time going anywhere else anymore . Always a pleasant experience! Al and staff are great people and very nice. Never a dull conversation!

Dinesh Ghimire Went there for the first time, the old Man’s are good socially as well as with the scissors. The price is also better than others in the town, $19. I won’t say the guys are very stylish but get the job done for normal haircut.

Travis Virgadamo Moved back to Ithaca years ago and started going to the Supercuts-style chain in the mall for a fresh cut. Basically, I was paying to get a buzz cut from someone just out of beauty school. My wife finally gave me an ultimatum to find a different place…she was embarrassed to be seen in public with me for about two weeks after each “super” cut. On a tip from a friend of a friend, I stopped by the Corners Barber Shop. As soon as I walked in, I knew this was my spot: Old school vibe, no shelves filled with hair products I would be given a high pressure sale pitch to buy, and just enough NY sports-themed decor to indicate they knew their stuff. I was welcomed warmly by Al, the owner of the shop, and had some good conversation about sports and life. The first cut was great and most importantly, wife-approved. It has been about four years since that first cut. Each cut has been just as good and the conversation and friendships just keep getting better. Al and his crew are not only top notch barbers, but also top notch people. If you are looking for a new spot, come by the Corners.

B S Always grateful for the guys at Pesco’s! I’ve been bringing my son here for his haircuts since he was 18 months old. Now, at almost 4 years old, we’re happy to see familiar faces and they do a great job - even with a wiggly toddler. Always patient and friendly, the barbers at Pesco’s have ensured a positive experience for what can be scary to a small child. Definitely recommend to anybody looking for a clean shop in Ithaca. See you all in a few weeks for Liam’s next cut!

Paul Tenorio William did a fantastic job on my beard and hair. He was friendly, professional, and a great conversationalist. The cut was even and very well done. He even offered to do my eyebrows, which was a first for me. I look forward to going back.

Brian Williams Mikey David’s is the quintessential barber shop. The atmosphere, the community, and the quality cuts all contribute to the reason this barber shop has been the staple of men’s haircuts in the area for so long. My experience as a customer of Mikey David’s shop has always been positive. I have asked for several different types of haircuts and they never fail to deliver. When walking into Mikey David’s, I walk in with confidence in the barbers and leave feeling confident in myself. They are a Great group of folks who will cut your hair right and make you a pal in the community while doing it.

Brian Greene Fantastic barber shop with great prices! The quality of service here is consistently top-notch, and the atmosphere is always warm and welcoming. The staff are incredibly friendly, making each visit something I look forward to. Its always a great experience from start to finish, and I leave feeling refreshed every time. Ivory Theodore (Theo) I asked Bradley to use his expertise to make me the least ugly version of myself. He gave me an updated version of the style I love, and he sculpted and completely transformed my facial hair. He is amazing, and Ill definitely be returning. The vibe of the shop is fun, relaxed, and friendly. I have found my new barbershop.

Ben Kriegel As the pandemic began to settle down, I realized that I desperately needed a haircut (a good one too). I was visiting Ithaca in the beginning of June, searched for the best barbershops in town, and thankfully found Fine Line. Salko gave me a great cut and I’d highly recommend!

Matt Marx I really enjoyed my first two haircuts here, but I dont think Ill be back. Last time I went there I was in a hurry so I showed up before 9:00 to make sure Id be first in line, but by 9:15 it was still locked so I left. And this morning, I waited for 20 or 30 minutes only for someone who clearly knew the owner to show up and they let her kid in front of me.

Laura Hayduchok I was delighted to find this cute boutique and got acrylics done this morning. The shop is bright, welcoming, and immaculately clean. Ari did an excellent job with my nails and carefully made sure each nail was shaped and painted perfectly. She helped me pick out a color to go with my dress for a wedding this weekend and was lovely throughout the appointment.

Starlit Pollio I go to Ari for ALL my needs! Hair, nails, lashes, you name it! She has done an excellent job and is passionate while doing so. She is the only one I trust! She’s very personable and will talk you through all your major changes and reassures you that you will look FAB!! This salon is a whole vibe! 10/10 RECOMMEND!

Gloria Doolittle Ari is totally amazing I go to her for my nails and hair and my eyebrows! She has done all this for me since she opened she did all of this for my sons wedding just Recently and everyone loved it and I received so many compliments!!Highly recommend her for all of your needs!

Blair SZ Jones I had my haircut by Liam and I let him do his thing, I trust his vision and I always come out happy with the results. Hes great with conversations and also really nice whenever a client doesnt feel like talking. I definitely recommend him, especially for coarse hair like mine

Mohammad Mousavi Nick did an excellent job, but since he left, I tried someone else there. I showed him some photos, but the haircut I got looked nothing like them. There’s no fade on the sides, even though I specifically asked for one. The back of my head looks so odd that all my friends have been asking what happened. There’s no transition between the skin and the top of my head—it’s just skin, and then suddenly long hair!

Abigail Tessier Kimi gave me a beautiful color correction! On Saturday I had gone to a different salon and the hairdresser gave me a huge splotch on the back of my head that was lighter than the rest, as well as highlights that looked like they were already 3 weeks grown out. Only 4 days later, just before the holiday, Kimi took care of me and evened out my tone as well as fixing my roots. I am beyond impressed!

Kelsey Fisher I had my brows done by Stacie yesterday, and I couldnt be happier with the results! She truly has a knack for shaping brows and made sure to listen to my preferences. Crystal is professional and I left with a new haircut, of which I only provided a "vision" - that she was able to bring to fruition. Highly recommend! Note: cash discount over credit card.

Burgdoff Kendall So i chopped my hair off and it looked so abd before i came here, my mom and I walked in and we were greeted by the chillest guy ever and he told us to sit and wait for a little bit, not even 2 minutes later Antonio (i think was his name i cant remember) came amd told me to hop in the chair and he fixed my hair up and he so cool. If I could give more than 5 i would.

Lewis Tian Bro got a razor and call himself a barber. Haircut took less than 8 mins and it felt like they just wanted to speed run it. True, they look like they might be good with ethnic cut but other than that be prepared to wear a hat for a few weeks. I appreciate their service but it’s not worth even 18 bucks and it’s honestly THE worst haircut I’ve ever gotten

Almande I asked to have 1.5 - 2 inches taken off my existing cut and specified I wanted to be sure the ends would not be bulky or flip out. The stylist completely changed the shape of the cut. Now my hair cannot be styled normally and flips out very far or forms an inverted v - opposite of what I had and asked for. This place is very hit and miss.

Nicole Tudor I had recently gotten my hair done here and was utterly disappointed. I had asked for a layered haircut and when I told her to stop cutting my hair she kept going. And now my hair is in shambles. I will never come back here again and hope this review finds them well.

Richard Ballantyne Mitsy has been doing such a great job on my hair for the past 10 years! She is really calm, and her hands are gentle and coordinated. It is very relaxing to get my hair cut from her. Also, she doesnt talk incessantly to her clients like so many other hairdressers do.

Dorothy Lovelace I used blue and purple box dye on my hair at home and it came out darker than I wanted. I’m pretty easy going about my hair, but I thought I’d treat myself and it get it redone at the salon since I’ve been feeling depressed lately. Got a same day appointment which was great. I said several times I liked the royal blue color but I wanted it brighter. I asked for ombré with blue roots, purple between and red ends. The stylist put color remover on and got all of the blue dye out of my strawberry blonde hair. After processing my roots were even darker & duller, now a gray turquoise color; most of my hair was a very dark purple color. That’s a blessing because the blue is such an ugly color I’m happy there is little of it showing. I said right away I didn’t like it and it wasn’t what I asked for. When I commented it was not brighter the stylist told me it might brighten up as it faded. That’s preposterous. She then asked for full payment while apologizing about my hair. She offered to let me come back and put more blue hair dye over the roots for free, I commented that wouldn’t make it brighter. I said I was happier with the way it looked before I came in. At no point did she offer to fix it by using color remover or a lightening product or offer any other suggestions to help me get the outcome I asked for. I declined to have a picture taken of the results which she asked to do. When I called back and said I’d come back to just have it covered up with a solid color since I’m so unhappy with it she told me she she is booked and couldn’t get me in until 5 days later. When I got the receipt from the transaction yesterday at 3:30pm it asked for feedback and I relayed all this information; including that had the box dye not come out I would understand and live with what I got. It is 11am the next day and I’m going to assume they don’t read the feedback daily because otherwise they are just not responding to a client who had a bad experience and shared that with them. This was obviously an error on the colorists part. The response has been utterly inadequate though. I did not get what I asked for, they did not offer to fix it they offered to cover it up, and couldn’t make time for me until nearly a week later. I left feeling like they didn’t care about the outcome or my experience. I’m so unhappy I cancelled the ‘free’ follow up appointment and will probably just put some box dye over it until it grows out. When I called to cancel the appointment I said I was unhappy with the response I got and the person who answered the phone said ‘ok’

Brenda Ramos V Johanna did an amazing job with my hair! My hair was very dry, frizzy and she offered a gentle treatment that revived it, the haircut and the blowout were amazing, and the best part yet, this was a walk-in appointment!
