Tom C Dr. Chris & Dr. Steve are a great son / father team who I have enjoyed and trusted for over 30 years. Ive had a lot of dental work done here and theyve kept me smiling and enjoying life. Their staff is always friendly to work with. The hygienists are gentle and pleasant. I highly recommend Mid Hudson Dental.

John S Ive been going to mid-Hudson dental since at least 2007 or so. Almost 20 years. Yikes! Some years back the front desk staff seemed a bit disorganized but things have run smoothly in recent years. The practice today is mostly Dr. Chris had he has done very well filling the occasional cavity or root canal. The one time I needed a more specialized root canal he referred to me to another dentist who was an expert in that field and was pain-free after a week of discomfort. That was more than 10 years ago and the tooth has not been an issue since. I also finally needed to get my wisdom teeth out and again a referral to a specialist who performed the extractions very well. Dr. Chris father, mostly retired, and also a dentist occasionally pitches in with exams and is also very thorough and experienced. Highly recommend this practice having been to at least two other dental practices in Dutchess County earlier in my life, neither of which are no longer around. Only downside is cleanings are generally booked some months out, but if you have flexibility with your schedule, they can usually squeeze you in on a shorter notice.

Vicki Smith I could not love Dr Ohkawa more! He is kind, caring, very patient centric and always provides plenty of time to understand treatment options, answer questions. I’ve never had a dentist who was this good at explaining everything in very understandable ways without being condescending at all. ALL of his staff are amazing as well.

Casey Kurtti Dr. Gen Ohkawa and his office staff and assistants make having dental work done almost a pleasure. His work is pain free and impeccable- and I say that after having two crowns, etc done. How is it possible to receive excellent dental care at a very fair price as well as being very amused by his careful explanations (including drawings!) and his version of "Select Shorts?" Catherine Hoselton Dr. Ohkawa and his friendly and well-trained staff are exceptional! Over the last year plus, Ive had my teeth cleaned and had to have several fillings. Dr. Ohkawa takes the time to make sure I understand everything thats going to happen and why, answering all my questions. He explains procedures with examples and referring to x-rays very clearly and simply. He is conscientious, thorough, and its clear that he is committed to his patients. Similarly, his staff are very professional, skilled, and always have a kind word to say. I am very fortunate to be a patient of Dr. Ohkawas. Thank you!

The Camptons House I had an excellent experience with Dr K and her assistant Nicole. The office is welcoming, and the staff is professional and kind. Danaya Amalia The dentist and hygienist are great, but the receptionist, Karen, is the issue. After playing phone tag to confirm or reschedule my appointment, I left a voicemail stating that if rescheduling dates were too far out, I’d keep my appointment. Karen later left a message saying the next available dates were in December and to call back with my decision. When I did, she claimed I no longer had an appointment- that I canceled it, when I didn’t, and refused to reinstate it. Even when I mentioned I had her voicemail as proof, she dismissed it, saying, “Well, I don’t save voicemails like you.” Yet, this morning, another staff member called asking if I could still come in—proving Karen’s handling was completely inaccurate and unprofessional. Originally I rated 1 stars, now I’ll give 3. Maybe 4 if Karen no longer works there or perhaps gets customer service training, because everyone else in the office is great.

P.M L.C Appointment has been cancelled three times now. Was supposed to be seen in July—now it’s November. Receptionist is rude, and hangs up in my ear. Used to be a great place, but the staff has gone down hill.

M&R Dr. Paramo and her staff are exceptional! You feel very taken care of during and your visit. If you have to go to the dentist, this is the office you want to go to. The Dr. And her staff are all kind, professional, knowledgeable and patient. You feel like a member of their family as soon as you walk through the door. James Very impressed with the quality of service and comfort I experienced from Dr. Carvalho and the rest of their team. Every medical professional there made me feel comfortable and always left me feeling confident about my teeth. Unfortunately, after scheduling my last appointment weeks in advance and taking off of work in order to do so, I was told the day of that appointment that it was cancelled. I was told that this was my fault because I missed a call while I was working to check in and ‘confirm’ the same appointment that I had already agreed on in person. I have always been on time and honored every appointment I made with them and am very disappointed to not have the same courtesy returned.

Lorna Brundrett My two visits at dr Leslie Cohen’s office, where I had a cleaning and X-rays taken, everything went fine. However, for over a month now I have been trying to have my X-rays sent to my new dentist’s office (I changed dentists because I moved). Myself and my new dentist have had to send multiple requests outlining who to send the files to and have had to remind Hudson Valley Dentist 4U the length of time that has passed. I cannot afford new X-rays and need to have wisdom teeth extracted. Dr. Leslie Cohen has not been helpful in this situation and has been rude on the phone. Her assistant has been polite and has confirmed again and again that I am at the top of the list.

Susan Sharp I hate to write negative reviews, but: I had an upper front crown recemented with a new post on October 15, 2024 and it broke off and came out on December 8, 2024. No world in which this is acceptable.

John Forrest Stay far far far away from this dentist. She talks a good game but she’s a total hack. She will destroy your teeth then refuse to fix them while insisting you pay out of pocket $$$$$. If you have insurance she’ll draw out every penny out of it then tell you she no longer takes it. Stay as far away as possible.. I’m sure she’ll respond with some snarky words about how she has no record of me being there — blah blah . Yikes — “dr Choen” responded in quite typical fashion as expected — stay far far far away.

Nathan Baldwin I have read the reviews and thought how out of character for Potvin and Potvin until this morning. I have been waiting over two months for this appt and it happened to fall during an ice and snow storm. I left work in Boston Ma yesterday to make it here and due to a break down and multiple accidents I wasnt off I 90 until 6 am. My appt was for 11 am and I live 40 mins away, when the roads are good. I pulled in at 11 20 am and they canceled my appt and said I can re schedule for April. Now they had already called me this morning and asked if I could come earlier because they had cancelations. I explained my situation and was met with no compassion.They said they were" booked solid". The parking lot was empty and there was no one in the waiting room. I have been coming here for quite some time and Ive recommend him to countless people. No more. Not only did I lose time,money,and almost my life to make this appt. But now Ive lost my dentist and probably my tooth. This is a tooth He previously repaired and the filling came out. I get having a schedule but have some compassion during a snow storm and dont meet your customer with a monotone f you . We are people not just a paycheck.

mary coseo I’ve been going to Joseph Potvin for 18 years. I’ve been waiting for phase 2 to begin so I could call for an appointment. I had been waiting since the end of March to get in because we were in Quarantine. I called this morning to see about getting in because I have had a loose wisdom tooth since the beginning of quarantine. They asked if I was a patient and what I needed. They promptly told me that they couldn’t get me in for a few months and that I would have to try and see if I can get in with another dentist! I said well who do you recommend, well she couldn’t say! I have to say I’m extremely disappointed in this office loyalty and dedicated patients apparently isn’t what they are looking for. I have see the staff in this office change in the last few years and so have my children. I will be recommending that my children find a different dentist office to go to one that cares about the patients and that doesn’t want to shove you off to some random dentist! I don’t know if Joe Potvin knows this is happening and people are being treated poorly by his staff or he does and it doesn’t matter! Respectfully, Mary C

Sheri What a pleasant place to have what would otherwise be a hesitant experience. You forget whats happening because you become sat ease. Dr. Froehlich is efficient and knowledgeable due to his extensive ongoing education and up-to-date equipment and procedures. And all of the staff is welcoming and upbeat. I cant sing the praises of this office any higher. This is the dentist to go to

Christopher Fremgen Not a fan of dentists, but Dr. Froehlich put my mind at ease and scheduled my visits back-to-back in order for me to get shoulder replacement surgery (which, couldnt be done without having ll vectors for infection, including cavities dealt with.) He made sure I was comfortable and detailed each procedure before beginning the process. His receptionist also worked miracle s with my insurance. Very happy with the outcome!

Malorie Carr Love my dentist office ! They are so welcoming, and even have a therapy dog that greets you as you walk in ! Her name is Kara ! They always make sure you are satisfied with the work they’ve done, and if not they will go the extra mile to make sure you do.

John Mulligan I had a dental emergency with an infected tooth and my regular dentist couldnt take me. Dr Heeps came to the rescue. He saw me right away and took care of everything. Soon after I became a regular patient of Dr Heeps. Later on, my wife and I had an issue with our insurance and Dr Heeps generously worked with us to clear up the issue. I happily recommend Dr Heeps and his staff.

Philip Denue Have had a number of issues with the billing and admin team. More importantly my daughter had them repair a broken tooth which required a filling, and I was charged around $700. Days later the filling fell out and she started having pain in the tooth which she didn’t prior. She didn’t want to go back here so went to another dentist who said the work was done improperly and it was now infected but recommended going back to Columbia dental because they should fix it with no additional charge since it was there mistake and it would be an additional $700 for him to do it. After going back and forth hand delivering x-rays and multiple visits Columbia said that they would correct it but I would be charged for the work because they don’t feel it was because of their incompetence. I strongly recommend finding a better practice than this one.

Lois Batsios Great office staff, who put me on a waiting list and got me a cleaning appointment on the day I needed! I cannot say enough about my hygienists. I think her name was Josie. She was very informative and explained the correct way to brush my teeth. And not in a condescending way. My visit was more like a Dental workshop. Plus the dentist examined a problem tooth and rather than make up procedures she could do to correct it, she told me it is fine the way it is and nothing needs to be done unless I want to do something. The tooth is not in danger or any more vulnerable. Love the honesty!

Kelly Coster My dentist for years, although I hadn’t been to the office in a few years, called this morning at 8:02am as I have a tooth that is zinging sharp pain…they said they would call me back. At 4:15pm I called them back, she said I could have next available appointment then proceeded to tell me it was in Mid October. I’m in pain I said, Amanda then said I know but I was told to offer you the next available. So unprofessional! Do better!

Pat Prendergast Ive gone to Dr Meisner for over 20 years- he has always done great work and his work lasts. His prices arent designed to help him buy another new car like some other dentists either!

Andy Christ Dr. Norman Meisner is the sweetest guy but is just too old and incompetent now to continue working as a dentist. His staff is elderly as well and not up to date. Last time he worked on me this past spring, his dental assistant placed the aspirator down my gullet instead of under my tongue, causing me to gag on it. Then Norm kept stepping on the aspirator tube, yanking it against the side of my mouth. Also they couldn’t mix the amalgam right and had to do it over and over. And when I complained that he was hurting my lip, was told to just bear with him until it was over. Filling fell apart before I even got home, where I found the inside of my lower lip was bleeding and swollen. Closer inspection revealed it to have been lacerated in four places and punctured in two. And within a few weeks, the other two fillings he had recently done for me fell out as well. So I returned to my local dentist who’s front office contacted his to ask for my chart and x-rays, which he refused to make available to either them or myself when I went to inquire at his practice. Don’t know if Dr. Norman Meisner is the worst dentist in the world but he sure deserves a nomination.

linda whipple Dr. Bob has been my dentist since we both were much younger. I was very afraid of dentists at the time. Dr. Bob took the time to explain everything to me, they have gas and music! His staff made my daughters first visit a good one so she will not ever be afraid of dentists in her lifetime. Dr. Bob is all about saving the tooth and preventative procedures. Looking for a dentist, make an appointment. The girls at the desk will make you feel welcome. You will not be sorry.

HB I was having a dental emergency while traveling and was able to reach Dr. Danz by phone. He was incredibly kind and offered some suggestions for how to mitigate the pain until I could get back home to my regular dentist. He made a difficult situation manageable and I can only imagine he would be the same in person - kind and competent.

Tamara Rusoff-Hoen Dr Pizer not only has great dental skills (including intelligent problem solving) but he has great interpersonal skills. Going to the dentist is never fun but with Doctor Pizer it comes pretty close.

Diane Rodriguez I am very satisfied with the work performed by Dr. Pizer. I would also like to mention the Dental Hygienist Mitsy. She did a very thorough job cleaning my teeth. She did more than any other hygienist has ever done.

Schwarze babu Dr. Pizer took a personal interest in my son and paid extra attention to his work and slowed to make sure it was perfect. My son is an actor and Pizer said he had to have the most perfect smoker to be on Broadway and when he was done with my son he would have a Broadway worker smile!
