victoria lo I went to Rose Beauty because my normal threading salon wasn’t open and I needed to get my brows cleaned up before going on vacation. When I arrived there was no one inside which was a little concerning, but the woman at the counter was pleasant and helped me promptly. Normally I get my brows threaded but because I was in a bit of a hurry I opted for a wax. Now, it has been awhile since I’ve waxed any part of my face but I have to admit I was shocked at how irritated and red my skin was for the rest of the day. I still tipped the woman because I like the shape of my brows but I was very concerned at the lack of aftercare offered: at every other salon I’m always offered some cooling aloe to help with any skin irritation but here I was basically just shaped and out the door. It’s a no-frills experience but honestly I’ve paid less at other modest salons and gotten more service. Still, I think the move is to get threading done here and not waxing. I don’t think there is anything wrong with the service but in general if you have sensitive skin be cautious about the waxing. I’ve had my brows waxed and threaded for years and NEVER had a reaction like I did from this salon. Oh well! I’ll stick to threading if I ever return. Polite and fast service.

regina teng The woman who threaded my eyebrows just now made them too thin and uneven, when I explicitly asked for them to be kept thick and cleaned up only. She also kept complaining about how I had come in at closing time (6:05 when they close at 7) and repeatedly asked me to pay with cash when I didn’t have any.

Patricia Higgins I received a silk press, trim and layers to frame my face and I must say it was a beautiful experience. Orquidea took his time and walked you through the process and gave suggestions. He really loves what he does. This was my first time there and I definitely will be going back. Definitely 10/10

Naomi LaRose Horrible experience. The owner was rude, they don’t understand what you’re telling them. Would never go back. Would have tip them if they were just courteous, but they weren’t.. The owner cursed at me in Spanish. Thinking I don’t understand her. You don’t know who comes into your store treat people with respect. Horrible Horrible place. Stay away!

Emily Marksman Went here for a blowout. $70. I didnt mind paying the only thing that did bug me the wrong way was that I told the women that was doing my hair that I wanted the heat protective in my hair BEFORE she started blowing drying it. The lady gonna do it after like that make any sense and for that I will not be coming back just because she cant do the most basic shit I told her to do. Dont act like you know my hair better than me when we dont even have the same hair texture.

Arufa Hossain Was so disappointed when I got my hair dyed a bright red when I asked for dark cherry red. I came back and they refused to give a refund because of them messing up my hair for the occasion of Eid and they also took out one of my gold earrings — by accident. I told them beforehand I can’t take my piercings out because they’re sensitive. They also upcharged me the second day I came back after they turned me away (for not having enough time on Sunday). They kept blaming me and my hair when they could’ve turned me away from the start and literally said take $50/$200 for a totally different red color hair dye or leave the salon! Very rude and disrespectful — tried to give me excuses before giving some money back like the owner is on vacation and can’t pick up or do anything about money while being away (but they didn’t hesitate to call her Monday when I got my hair done and called for price check) . They wanted to me to come in some other day as if I didn’t already go deep enough many times for them turning me away and I had to take off work — i don’t even make minimum wage per hour.

Char John Johanny and her husband goes above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied with your hair results. The salon is super clean and they will serve you water, tea or coffee. Johanny can do any hair styles. I am always coming up with styles for her to do with my hair and she has never disappoint. Her hands truly cannot be replicated. She is super patient and kind. We love you Johanny!

celebrity Cooper I had a great experience here! Very clean environment and I didnt feel judged at all. Very welcoming. My stylist did great with cutting my super thin hair and doing the best she could to make it look great for my birthday! I wand curled it when it got home to add a little more volume. I would come here again when my hair is healthier and longer to see the growth! Definitely feels like my scalp will be clean for months after the wash I got lol!

Angelic filmss My first time ever getting my hair done here and I love it! Johanny got my hair super straight and soft. She and her husband Jose are super nice and sweet. Service was amazing! Will definetly be going back soon!

love song lyrics My sister and i went in to get our hair done. After we entering we found out the prices to do our hair, my sister hair is above shoulder and my own is midway down my back curly, they looked at our hair even touched it before we begin, they told my sister 45 for her own(to wash, blow dry and trim) and 50 for my hair seeing its longer(wash, blow dry, trim and style). Upon completion of our hair we were told that my hair was longer than they thought so it will be 70 instead of 50 and my sister own who is shoulder length will be 60. That very poor way of doing business. But nevertheless we paid it but will never be going back. Thats the first and last time ever going there. Do not recommend.

M J Excellent 1st time experience. You are paying for meticulous skills, focus, and swag. I got a quick weave after the deposit. I paid 300$, and my hair was provided. I received a great wash and special treatment as well. Money well spent for a New Years treat for me!!! I will be booking again

Katherine Abreu Asked at the door if accepting walk-ins the answer was yes. Took two hrs to be seated on a chair to START my color process when the lady stopped and said ill be right back and went to work on someone else took another hr of me sitting there for me to get the point and just leave. If you’re “that busy” please don’t take walk in’s. You’re literally wasting peoples time its understandable you have a business to run but 3 hrs and nothing done is excessive.

Catherine R. Id been going for years to a hair salon in NJ, until a friend recommended this salon being closer to me. I was a little hesitant at first to try a new place, however, it was the BEST decision I made. Mercedes is Amazing! I had a balayage done (which is my usual style) and Ive never had such great results, the color and blending was perfect. There is a bit of a wait because they only do walk-in, but its totally worth it. And the price is very reasonable.

Melissa Passed by and decided to give them a try. First come first served type salon, wait wasnt too bad. Great shampoo and condition, friendly staff and Mari gave a great cut. Usually salons go choppy on my thick hair, but the layers are even. Very pleased, will be back. Bring a photo if in doubt, bit of a language barirrer, but they were very accommodating!

Sasha I recently had a manicure and pedicure at this salon, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the experience! The staff was welcoming, professional, and paid great attention to detail. The manicure was flawless, with the polish applied perfectly and lasting for weeks without chipping. The pedicure was equally amazing, leaving my feet feeling soft. I will definitely be coming back for my next session! Highly recommend!

Leah Ashkenazi I did my nails for the first time there. It lasted 1 full month without chipping or braking. Masha did my Russian manicure. She was so kind and sweet and was so specific with the details! Love this place ! Very recommended!

Brenda R. They have renovated. I believe the place looks outstanding, and the ambiance makes you forget you are in East New York. If you go early on the weekend you can get seen. The place fills up quickly. I went on a Thursday to avoid the crowd. Juana did a fabulous job on my cut. The prices are pretty fair considering the amount of damage I had from the hair dying and using a flat iron.

Lishaun Johnson Nikki is incredible at what she does! I went to her for a natural middle part lace closure unit, and she absolutely nailed it. The hair was laid and flawless for my trip to Jamaica, and it’s been perfect for everything since—whether I’m wearing it to work or just out casually. Nikki is definitely worth the investment; she’s patient, skilled, and genuinely dedicated to perfecting your look. Unlike some newer stylists who give you the runaround, Nikki is all about getting the job done. I’d recommend her 1000/10!

A S Brow threading is fine, but go somewhere much more experienced for a lash tint. Lady literally painted the tint on the skin under my eyes instead of the lashes and my undereye looked so dark. Would not recommend for any lash work.

Grace Zimmerly I already go to Kyamuna for all of my waxing needs (close to painless as it can get!), but today she also gave me a pre-vacay lash lift and tint. As you can see from my before and after, she’s taken my no-makeup game up significantly. I love it and will definitely be back!

Anna Lee This is my first time doing my hair at L&B. I went in with the intentions of finding a solution for covering my grey hairs that grew too quickly and came out looking more refreshed and younger so my husband say/! Lol I had my whole head dyed darker, followed by lighter highlights and then toner. Lika and Jesse made the whole experience less stressful and reassured me many times that it would come out beautiful and I truly believed their words. They were kind, patient and genuine, unlike many hair dressers I have visited in the past. Although the process was long, about 4 hrs, I was able to witness many different customers coming in from all over the neighborhood, with each customer, Lika and Jesse addressed their concerns and spoke to them like family; providing support and positive feedback and individual attention, while managing the queue. I am so glad I found them. I will definitely return. Thanks for such a wonderful experience!

Miya Bri do not come here at all ! very shady people some blonde spanish lady gave me JUST A BLOWOUT and hair wrap then charged me 70 DOLLARS FOR JUST THAT and walked off with attitude. they’re not worth the money and will definitely not be returning here. will just be sticking to the old spot i was going to next to 7 eleven. they don’t charge that and the service is way better .

Ayanna Ellison I’m so glad I didn’t listen to the reviews and gave this salon a chance. 10/10 wash and blowout for a great price. My mom and I were both in and out in about 2 hours, which is good considering they were a bit busy. Definitely recommend coming here, lovely ladies!

Ashley Henry Charged me $65 dollars for a wash and set, which is usually $40 dollars at this salon because I have natural black/kinky hair. My hair is short-medium length. I think I would have been less upset if they had been upfront with the price instead of making up some random number at the cash register especially when the normal price is listed right next to it. I will not go back.

I HAD TO SHAVE MY WHOLE HEAD AND START OVER!!! they keep deleting my review so i’ll leave it again. i’ve been to this salon about 3 times (in a 1 year period) because i live in the neighborhood and i go to get a wash/blowout before getting my hair braided. the last time i went, the woman working the second chair from the left, SEVERELY heat damaged my hair. when i washed it afterwards and realized it didn’t revert, i went back to the salon (with my dominican roomate), so that i could get a refund. after showing the receptionist and the manager picture & video evidence of my SEVERELY heat damaged hair, they both said it was “impossible” for a blow dryer or flat iron to do that… when a simple google search will debunk that boldfaced lie. additionally, any legitimate hairstylist would know how heat damage can occur (even when using heat protectant) and how to prevent it. with my roomate translating, they said several disgusting racist remarks to me, and then refused to give me the owner of the salon’s name or information. i didn’t get even a partial refund or an offer/attempt to fix my completely damaged hair. so again, ABSOLUTELY DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, GO TO THIS SALON. I HAD TO SHAVE MY WHOLE HEAD AND START OVER!!!
