Girl on Fire Fitness

Alicia Aldaco Nikki is great!!! She makes me comfortable with being a first time person learning how to work out. She also checks on you daily to make sure you’re doing ok or give pointers on stretches that will help. I highly recommend working with her!!! Super friendly and an awesome teacher!! My experience has been super pleasant!!!

Westside Community YMCA

Jen Willett Love their homeschool swim and gym program. My son took it for several years. He faced his fears, learned to swim and climb the rock wall. Instructors were awesome with the kids and kept them busy for 2 hours! Great exercise and parents could talk to each other or read while they waited. I got to know several homeschool moms that I didn’t already know or was able to get work done.

CrossFit Shift

Jalitza Cardona Some of the best coaches. They have given me so much patience in explaining movement and the workouts. They offer great feedback and offer numerous opportunities to scale the workout to your athletic ability. They consider feedback from their members and add fun opportunities to get together and enjoy each others company outside of workout outfits. Id recommend this gym if you are a seasonal athlete or just starting. This is my second home.

Building Champions Strength and Performance

Ken Farley, Jr. We were recommended Building Champions Strength and Performance by a close family friend whose kids train there. We drive 45 minutes each way to attend classes at Building Champions and it is completely worth it! Our two young daughters have been taking classes there for over a year now and the improvements in their game play, attitudes in school and entire demeanors have noticeably improved. Justin does a phenomenal job working with all the kids assessing their needs and putting them on a path for long term success. The kids have fun, they stay engaged, learn and the results speak for them self. As a parent it can be tough finding training that is safe, fun and affordable. Building Champions is the answer, Justin does an incredible service and we recommend him to everyone we know!

Sparta Fitness & Kickboxing

Lauryn C I know im hot. I charge deposits for my work. I am not stupid enough to pull up to an empty building and dark complex at 12am with no details pertaining to the work being done. Nice way to kick off a business. Also, to be clear, he also contacted me months ago. So he knows what details i need. I dont see what you plan to discuss when you cant answer simple questions. In months you havent measured or came up with an idea you want?

Firefly Hot Yoga Barre

Marie Watson I cannot say enough good things about this studio. I have traveled and been to a fair number of yoga studios and this one is just a gem. I have never taken a bad class here. All the instructors are accommodating and welcoming. You will feel refreshed, challenged, and like you returned to yourself with their heated classes.

Crunch Fitness - East Lansing

julian miller I’ve been going to crunch since opening day, and don’t plan on going elsewhere. It’s the gym I recommend to anyone who’s working out at a PF, or looking for more variety in their training. I’ve always liked that they not only have all the free weights, and machines you need, but they also places for cardio, HIIT and stretching. My biggest complaint is machine maintenance, and crowding (which I believe will be resolved with their new expansion). Although most of the machines work consistently, there are always a couple broken cables. I do blame the users rather than the gym, but with cables being the most versatile equipment in the gym, it’s annoying when I have to check if the open cable is actually working; stuck in place, stuck at a weight or doesn’t move smoothly. I understand maintaining equipment with as many members as they have is difficult, but it would be nice to have things fixed in a timely manner. And to touch on crowding: I’m someone who wants to do my workout and leave. I have found if you go during the day, or in the evening you can just about count on having to wait for the machine, bench, squat rack, weight, or space to workout. Because of this I go either early in the morning or late at night. As I had said previously, I do believe that their expansion will help a lot with the crowding and I look forward to its opening. Lastly the staff: In my time there I have seen many employees and trainers come and go. I have never had any issues with their staffing and I believe they all do a great job. P.s. shout out to the good lighting and the gym buddies I’ve made there!
