What impressed me the most when starting with Paragon is that unlike previous financial advisors, Dan Stavale did not request that I immediately move all my funds to Paragon. He took the time to understand where I was in my life situation at the time, and what my goals were and are moving forward both short and long term. He has never "pushed" products on me, but has always provided investment options and his opinion of the pros and cons of each relative to my goals and timeline. I have one "outside" investment that he has advised me to leave in place with a competitive advisor for 12 years even after now going on 6 years of managing the bulk of my retirement investment. We already had a financial planner but were looking at retirement planning, so we wanted to get all the information we could get. I remember when we initially met Dan and Adam several years ago. We did the initial meeting of learning about them and how they could help us with our retirement planning. We said we do not want to outlive our money- we dont need to be rich, just comfortable. They are fiduciaries-so that was a plus (we learned that a long time ago). Weve worked with Dan, Adam, Teresa and now Peter- each one is talented, educated, knows their field, keeps up with what is going on in the financial world, is hardworking, experienced and are fiduciaries. The team is supportive and genuinely cares about us. The main reason we have been with Dan, Stacey, Teresa, Adam, Lexie, Pattie, and Peter is that they give us the "warm and fuzzy” --we have never felt that way about any financial planner weve had. (weve had several) We like to hear from my financial advisor and get updates and advice from them more than the obligatory once a year, they stay in contact with us regularly. We highly recommend them to friends and family who want a trustworthy financial planner.
