5 /5 Laila H.: My family and I started going to The House about 5 years ago in a really big scary transitional time for us. More than anything at that time we were yearning for a home, a community, a place where we could be at the table with Jesus and His people and know that we were loved. I mean this with all my heart: The House has been exactly this. My favorite things about our church family are the clear love for the Rock Island community (and active volunteerism and prayer within said community), the prioritization of justice and equality amongst all God’s people, the way we frequently dive into biblical exegesis in sermons, and the passion for worship that I think shows in our worship team as well as our congregation. Nobody worships in exactly same way, but there’s no pressure to do so here: I have always felt like I can come before God and this church as exactly who I am, with all my quirks and questions. We challenge each other to grow, change, and learn more about how God calls us to live, but we do not judge one another. If you’re looking for a church home, come hang out with these people. Come worship, come pray, come learn with us! You have a place here, you have a seat at the table.

The praise music is great, fellowship with others is welcoming, and the messages are based on God’s word! Everyone there made me feel at home when I was a newbie!!! We have been through big changes over the years as a family, and this church fam has been pivotal in the healing and growing process. It’s a church community that is truly welcome to all, and the music, messages and opportunities to serve and grow in your faith are impressive for a church its size.

5 /5 Robert Kaminski: This is a Church that models, authentic spirit lead teaching and worship. The focus is following The Way, and knowing Jesus more rather than some façade of religiosity. I have been attending intermittently for several months and though I find the atmosphere stretching at times, The Word and worship are always brought forth in love and truth… the church is diverse and welcoming yet small compared to where I have been for years. This is a place worth visiting!
