Auto body shop is a unique business because, unless, god forbid, the customer is accident-prone, there are seldom repeat customers. As such, many auto body shops lack the incentive of keeping long-term customer relationship and satisfaction but instead focus on short-term profit-taking by providing overpriced services coupled with marking up the parts when possible.
That is where Rickys Auto Body makes a difference and why I think a positive review is imperative to spread the good words about this business. (1) Honesty. The first thing the owner Andy said was "let me show you where you can order the taillights on your own online for affordable prices and I will not mark up the parts". Andy even patiently helped me to compare price online. (2) Professionalism and Transparency. Andy and his employee are open to discuss the progress of repair and show me in real time how the work is done. (3) Superior quality of work. Picture is worth a thousand words. Please see attached "before" and "after". (4) Humanity and Compassion. After knowing the details of my accident especially regarding the other party (at fault) who did not carry insurance, Andy expressed sympathy and worked out an affordable plan. In light of the quality of the work, I would have been paying much more at some other body shops. (5) True customer care. Andy noticed there was a sound when driving the car. For my safety of driving, he got on the ground and probed under the car to locate the issue and referred me to another shop who specializes in that type of issues.
