5 /5 Joshua Alan Lutz: This morning, I went to the Washington Street Mission (408 N 4th St.) to attend the weekly gospel service that they host for community members in Springfield who are experiencing homelessness. Members of the House of Prayer Church were there volunteering their time to make the service happen. They served breakfast for the homeless, and the praise band led the group in worship. Both were very encouraging and genuine acts of service. Mike Hagaman preached a message on each persons opportunity to make choices; it was a thoughtfully planned and Biblically-based sermon. Mikes not the pastor, but he shared his life and his experiences, which was very valuable. Im grateful for this group of believers who have taken it upon themselves to be the Church outside of the walls of their brick and mortar location. To God be the glory!

First United Methodist Church - springfield

dakrrs Attended this church my whole life. Started out in the toddler room, went to Sunday school, attended worship services, began volunteering, and eventually got married here. A lot has changed over the years, but it’s like a home away from home. So glad to be a part of this church. I not only recommend, but I welcome you here. I have so much fun volunteering down at the Kids Life area.
