7 Mile Baptist Church - Metropolis (IL)

1 /5 Stacie Miller: I was VERY disappointed and VERY hurt by the reaction of the pastor of this church this evening. I had to give a 1 star in order to write this review. I have to say that I am glad I have never had a hypocrite for my spiritual teacher. I have been taught that you help out a person in need. I know my home church in TX would never had turned away a person broken down in our church parking lot. We all would had invited the people to attend church service and then we would had gotten together to give help. I just don’t have the words for the heartbroken feeling I have for this so-called man of God. He apparently doesn’t know God and it’s a shame he is leading people at this church.

1 /5 James Goff: I am going to piggyback on my wifes (Stacie Miller) review. Never in my life would I have expected to be treated in such a negative manner as we were this evening (10/10/21) by the pastor of this church. We full-time RV and were traveling through the area on our way to S. FL. Our GPS took us off the interstate due to road construction. At this time I also started to receive error messages indicating that I had an issue with my trailer brakes. I was able to pull into the parking lot of the church. I discovered I had a hot brake. I had the trailer jacked up and the affected tire removed when the pastor drove up. I approached the pastor with the intention of introducing myself and to explain my situation. Before I could do this, and without inquiring of us what was going on the pastor stated that "we couldnt stay there that their were signs posted no heavy vehicles "! I explained the issue we were having and he simply didnt care. He only repeated what he had said "you cant stay here youll have to leave". He only cared about his precious parking lot. No concern about our situation, no concern that he was putting us in danger with a hot brake condition. If I were a member of this church and saw this happen...I would no longer be a member! I would immediately leave this church. This pastor should be ashamed of his actions! This is not the action of a Man of God!
