Jenna Martin My mom has gone to Dr. Houseman’s office ever since it was run by his father, and I personally have gone to Dr. Houseman since I was about 5 (I’m now 29). I can honestly tell you that he is wonderful! He really cares about his patients, and takes great pride in the work that he does. He has even made an emergency visit to the office on a Thanksgiving day for my mom who was in excruciating pain from an exposed nerve in one of her teeth before! The rest of the staff is amazing as well! Jasmine is the one who always cleans my teeth, and she is very gentle yet thorough! I enjoy getting to go to the dentist which is something I know most people don’t get to say! This one makes itself like a second family, and you won’t regret visiting them! My daughter just turned 2, and I look forward to when I get to take her for her first visit!

Rosemary Ringer Having moved to the Riverbend area recently, I delayed finding another dentist to replace my wonderful dentist in Virginia, Dr. Jeff Weisberg. Would another dentist ever measure up to Dr. Jeff, and appreciate my eccentricities, and be able to deal with my panic attacks in the chair? So, I procrastinated. (I must add that I also had a very good experience at College Avenue Dentists in Alton, IL [and wrote a positive review on them], but I wanted to find someone a little closer to my home in Jersey County.) I went to Dr. Housemans office in Jerseyville to make my first appointment. I wanted to just get a "feel" for the place and the people. As an architectural historian, I was delighted to see that his office is housed in a classic Mid-Century ranch-type commercial building in mostly original condition, and the waiting room was decorated with Mid-Century Modern furnishings and accoutrements! Nice touch! As I was scheduling an appointment, Dr. Houseman walked past and I got a glimpse of him. He looked at me and smiled warmly. I think this guy was a Zen Master in a previous life. Hes the most peaceful dentist Ive ever encountered. Today, I was in that chair for two hours, and throughout the experience, everyone was very attentive and gentle and thoughtful and soft-spoken and so very kind. Im 60 years old and Ive had dozens of dental cleanings, but Jasmine gave me the most thorough dental cleaning of my lifetime. There were times that it was a little bit uncomfortable but it also felt real good to get that gunk off my teeth, and the discomfort lasted a few seconds and was gone. Dr. Houseman is, in every sense of the word, a true gentleman. He was patient and kind and perhaps best of all, the man knows his stuff. If you have always hoped that you could find a Bodhisattva that does good dental work, you might try Dr. Houseman. He really is THAT good. I cant say enough good things about the staff and the dentist. First rate.

Todd Feldman. The staff and Dr Toppmeyer were great 5 star but the lady at the front desk is a 0. What trash I reported her for talking about my moms bill with the lobby full my mom is 83 and never carries a balance, she pays when she gets her SS check every since I reported her she has had it out for me I recently got dental insurance and I called them and said when will the Dr be paid the lady said its easy we will call the office and fax a 1 page form to be faxed back and we will send a check she is so lazy she couldnt even do that so she turned it over to collection because she said no one can carry a balance well that is not true I heard her on the phone talking with a patient who she said I know you have been a patient here for along time but he wont see you unless you can pay at least 200.00 you owe 678.00 thats the kind of person he has working for him I wonder how many patients he has lost do to her. If anyone has had same or similar issues please post

Keith Norman Staff is always friendly and professional. Dr. Goetten is a very good and honest dentist. Easy to talk to, explains procedures well, and has taken care of emergency crown work for me too. Highly recommend Dr. Goetten.

Robert Crawford Jr. If you want to know the price on a procedure before you get it done this is not the place to go. I gave them my insurance information in advance and when I got there they still didnt have a quote for me.

Joy Lee This is the first dentist office I get very happy to go to. I have a lot of dental work ahead of me but I know I am in good hands. I have Maria the hygienist (sorry I am spelling hygienist wrong) doing the cleaning and not sure what else but I have cavities, teeth to be pulled and so on and will be no sweat. I have met Dr Brian and he is awesome. I told Maria this is the first dentist I have been to where the patients are having a good time. Maria is also a good gal. I highly recommend this office.
