1 /5 Dale Straughan: My mom has been a member of this church for 55 yesrs. She sang in the choir and taught Sunday school when my brother and I were younger. She attended Sunday school and church faithfully for years until she was unable to go due to health reasons. She volunteer her time twice a week to help in the church office, at no pay, for 3 years. She has spent the last two and a half years at Providence Nursing home where I visit with her 4 to 5 times a week. In saying all this, my mom was removed from the bulletin about two weeks ago. Everyone else that had been in the bulletin were still in there. Needless to say, my mom was hurt. Someone at the church had to physically remove her name from the bulletin. I know for a fact that the previous pastor would visit my parents each time they were in the hospital and visit every month that they were in the nursing home. Rev. Herring has not visited my mom one time. I hope this never happens to a love one of yours.
