From the moment she arrived, I could see how the warmth and acceptance of the staff and other participants immediately put her at ease. The nurturing environment created there was truly a blessing. The program is deeply rooted in faith, offering a comprehensive approach to recovery while also providing a strong spiritual foundation. Each day began with prayer and reflection, which I believe helped her center her thoughts and find strength on her healing journey. The curriculum was excellent, combining therapy sessions with educational workshops that addressed both her spiritual and emotional needs. The counselors displayed exceptional skill and genuine compassion. They took the time to understand her personal struggles and worked closely with her to create a tailored plan that fit her needs. The support group sessions fostered a profound sense of community where she could share her experiences and encourage others in their growth and healing. One of the most memorable aspects for her was how faith was integrated into every stage of the recovery process. The Bible study sessions were particularly enlightening, helping her connect with scripture in a meaningful way that reinforced her commitment to sobriety and gave her a renewed sense of purpose. I truly feel blessed to witness her journey and the inspiring relationships she formed with other women also on their paths to recovery. Together, they shared laughter, tears, and unwavering support, forging bonds that I know will last a lifetime. 5 /5 Miranda Tillman: My sister joined the Potter House in February of 2022 and to see the transformation she has made since then, can only be described as a miracle. She got her life back, her husband, her two girls and the soul she had before drugs took her away from our family. She had a life changing experience while growing in her faith and finding connection she had been longing for, for most of her life. She has a tight knit community since graduating and they constantly keep her spirits up and support her throughout her journey in the real world and I will forever be grateful to them for getting our family together!

5 /5 Rastus Ginginthatler: There’s not much that can be said about the tragedy of addiction that most folks don’t already know. The broken lives, shattered families, hopelessness and heart break that everyone feels. Most every person has been affected in some way by the evils of addiction. However, everyone affect by addiction is looking for the same thing, a way out. The spouse, the addict and especially the friends and family of the affected. A few years ago our family found ourselves in the depth of that tragedy. Our daughter and son-in-law were both far, far away from reality. It’s only when they lost all hope and realized that they were not on the right path did things finally start to change. Thank God, at that same time we found about about Potters House. Not only did they help my daughter but, they were able to help my son-in-law find help. During the time they were away the leaders of both programs kept in touch. After the two of them had made good progress to get themselves straight, the leadership started working on restoring their broken family. It was not an easy journey. At times we weren’t sure whether we’d all make or not. But, after a lot of soul searching and the never ending guidance of the Potter’s House leadership and most importantly, the mighty hand of God, all things began to fall into place. It’s been a few years now since the road to restoration started for us. I’m certain that without the leadership and direction we found at Potters House, we wouldn’t be where we are today. The South GA Potters House for Women is a place for healing and to be filled with Gods truth. Its a place where you can finally be honest and transparent without fear of judgement or condemnation. Its a place where you will learn who God is and how He loves you, and these truths will tear down any lie you have been believing. God has changed my life and He used the South GA Potters House as a tool to show me His love, His character and His grace over my life.
