5 /5 Stacey Day: I came to this church in 2016 - few years after making the move to Ellijay full-time. When we deciding to buy a house (instead of renting), we considered nearby towns but Mountain Light kept me here in Ellijay. This is just a wonderful community -- some people have known each other a long time, but I felt very welcomed and think we make other newcomers feel the same. Sometimes it may be challenging in this area to find like-minded people - people who are open, kind and welcoming. Mountain Light is truly a little island oasis here in Northwest Georgia.

If you are looking for a place to explore a variety of faith traditions and beliefs then this is the place for you. Social justice is also a focus and this vibrant church offers many opportunities to make our community a better place.

I had the privilege to serve these kind and generous folks for 10 years as a guest preacher, and I think that I received far more than I could ever give in spiritual nourishment. I moved away in 2014 and still feel held and rooted to my faith by these amazing people.
