It is a very welcoming c and prayerful church. At HCC you will feel like family. I have no doubt you will grow spiritually. Give it a try!

Josiah Sarge I will admit, the week leading up to my stay here I thought it was going to be awful staying here. I was filled with anxiety and nervousness being so far from my family, but Ive only been here 4 days and already I feel that enormous stress lifted off my back. Every single person, and I mean EVERY SINGLE PERSON I have met here has treated me with the utmost respect, kindness, and understanding. I feel absolutely no judgement from anybody for what I have done wrong in my life. If you re in a bad place and you cant get out of the cycle of addiction please sign up and take this 9 month program. I know I will be a different person by the end of this experience and I am excited to see what I will be able to do once Im back in the world. Drugs threatened to take my life away and I was on a path straight to rock bottom, but this program I know will lift me up higher than I was even before drugs. This place has given something to live for.

Leslie Byrd A small but wonderful group of people. We started going to this church a couple years after moving here and have continued to go regularly since, with my daughter being baptized in the church. Everyone is very supportive and welcoming, to the point that morning greetings during service needed to have the timer extended so everyone could get their handshakes and hugs in! Most members are older, yet many young families, children, and single adults come, too. There is a great Sunday School for adults, and a wonderful program for children and teens. While the church itself is small, it does a great job at attending to its members and the community including monthly food distribution, Operation Christmas Child, and several other ministries. I know my family has been on the receiving end of prayer and support during difficult times. And we have been blessed in being able to help others as well. The church isn’t perfect, but none of us are - that’s the entire point! We are a group of diverse imperfect people, serving a perfect God and allowing Him to work through us. I have personally found, the more you out into serving God and others, the more you get out of this church and this life.

Dave Mosley First....I am not a member. However, I chose to move here in large part because of the neighbors (many now dear friends) that are members. The congregation truly walks-the-walk.....they help one another and members of the community constantly. It is wonderful to know that I am always invited, but never obligated to attend. I truly believe this Church is they way a Christian institution should be.

Maureen Plato This is my Happy Place. Pastor Steve, the staff & entire congregation always make you feel welcomed. Often, when I have had out of town company, they have gone to Sunday service with me & they have loved it.
