Visible Augusta

Malone Gloria (Sissy) The people at this church are sweet, kind, inviting. I felt calm and included, not awkward or uncomfortable like I usually do in any new place. I felt the church was whole heartedly wanting to share God with people, not judgemental or hypocritical. I hope to be able to go there quite often.

Westminster Presbyterian Church - augusta

Tracey Perdue This is my “home” church where I grew up, and my parents still go. I visit any time I’m back in town, and I love seeing all the friendly faces- some new and some old. The reason why this church shines is because of it’s heart. The pastor and the people really care about others and have a giving heart to everyone around them. They are thoughtful in all that they do in making sure that they speak and preach the Bible accurately and with humility. They live out their faith too - they aren’t just talk. All walks of life are accepted here. The services lean towards the traditional style of hymns and the sermons are deeply steeped in theology, yet are applicable to life. Pastor Mark has a quirky sense of humor and helps you feel at ease. This is an excellent church that clearly loves Jesus!

First Presbyterian Church Of Augusta

Scott Thomsen My wife and I had the privilege of being part of this incredible church community for an entire year while stationed here at fort gordon, and it truly became my spiritual home away from home. From my very first Sunday, I was welcomed with genuine warmth and kindness that made me feel like I belonged. Joining the choir was one of the most rewarding decisions I made during my time here. The music ministry is exceptional, with talented musicians and singers who pour their hearts into worship. Our weekly rehearsals became something I eagerly anticipated—not just for the beautiful music we created together, but for the fellowship and friendships that developed. The choir directors passion for worship and dedication to excellence inspired us all to grow both musically and spiritually. The Sunday Bible study sessions were consistently enriching and thought-provoking. The teaching was biblically sound yet accessible, creating an environment where both new believers and seasoned Christians could learn and grow together. The discussions were always engaging, and I appreciated how different perspectives were welcomed and explored with grace and wisdom. What sets this church apart is the genuine sense of community that extends far beyond Sunday services. The regular community events—from potluck dinners and game nights to service projects and seasonal celebrations—created numerous opportunities to build meaningful relationships. These gatherings felt natural and joyful, never forced or obligatory. The pastoral care and leadership demonstrate authentic concern for each members spiritual journey and personal well-being. Whether celebrating milestones or walking through difficult seasons, the church family consistently shows up with love, support, and practical help. The worship services themselves are spirit-filled and meaningful, with excellent preaching that challenges and encourages. The atmosphere is welcoming to visitors while maintaining the depth and reverence that long-time members appreciate. This church has created something special—a place where faith grows, friendships flourish, and everyone can find their place to serve and be served. Its been a blessing to be part of this community.

New Life Church (North Augusta Campus)

Brittany Maddison I started coming to NLNA summer of 2022 and to say that this church changed my life is an understatement. I was as bitter as one could be, filled with church hurt and anger but the pastors here truly lifted me up until I could stand on my own faith. I am incredibly thankful to be able to call New Life North Augusta my church. Thank you Pastor Steven and Tina for loving me through my struggles and for providing a safe and loving atmosphere to be able to worship the Lord!

Saint Pauls Church - augusta

Martin Schwerzler From the first day our family went to this church, it was warm, welcoming and accepting. We wanted to find a place where our son and his husband would be comfortable and St Pauls is the perfect place. Its more than just a place to go to church. We love the music and the choir and it has a joyous feeling about it always. If you havent been to St Pauls recently you really need to give it a try. We have two great reverends, Eric and Kimberly. And there are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the community and do some good works. You can help out anywhere from arranging flowers, to helping provide food to those in need, or even helping to welcome all the Iron Man participants that join us every year for a pasta dinner before the race. Please consider joining us one Sunday and I promise you wont be disappointed.

Piney Grove Forest Hills Baptist Church

G. Q. Brathwaite The atmosphere is warm and comfortable... The Pastor and all the preaching, and teaching is Bible based. Sunday School is enlightening as well as being instructional. And Bible Study is good enough that they have one around noon time, and another at 6:30 in the evening. Theres a good group of children who seemed to be very engaged in the church life, with Sunday School, a chorus and a liturgical dance group.
